Chris Hülsbeck is exactly 10 years older than me. When Giana Sisters came out, I was around 10 years old. Now I am 43 years old, loving piano music and witnessing this piece of art. Thank you for making an old dude cry.
Just WOW! 😍❤ immediately my childhood kicks in my brain; It was 1987, my 7 years old me, sitting infront of the TV and playing that masterpiece on my C64.
And while re-listening to your version of "Agony" and "Giana Sisters" I burned my pizza in the oven. Was it worth it? Yes, it was. I am ready to burn more pizzas, if gods of piano music require such sacrifice for having your music. Thank you for those gems. 😊
Great interpretation. 👍 Loved that game in the 80's. 🙂 I also like the Bruce Lee song, but i played Bruce Lee on the ZX Spectrum of my older brother, while i was saving money to buy the C64 later. 😆The 80's have been great times.
Goodness dear lord you look young enough to never have heard about a Commodore 64 or Chris Huelsbeck. This is perhaps the better piano replay I ever heard and there are quite a few on TH-cam. Keep it up.
A great performance. I sense some similarities between Hans Zimmer's Interstellar/docking scene and this one. :) Chris Hülsbeck should be proud of himself. If a genius like Zimmer is inspired by his music... :) My childhood favourite. Sometimes I didn't even play, I just listened to the music for hours :)
The sheet music is from the Piano Collection by Chris Hülsbeck, which was also available as a digital download. You can request them from him. I have made the experience that you can contact Chris well. At least on patreon he answers quickly and is very obliging.
Thank you for listening. The sheet music was from "The Piano Collection" which was a Limited Edition from a kickstarter Project. Maybe you could ask Chris Hülsbeck to send you a pdf.
Sorry, you will never come close to C64 version of GS intro. That version has a spark like no else. Even newer ones doesn't suck you in like the C64 version.
Thank you for listening, I can understand that very well. I also don't want to get close to the original version, I just enjoy performing this piano version on my instrument. :-)
What would you like to hear next? Feel free to post your suggestions in the comments!
Agony, main theme please.
Why not the Wally Beben's Dark Side?

Very good interpretation of this outstanding Song from Chris Hülsbeck.
i'd have never ever thought in the 80s when i played the game as a child that decades later, as an adult, i will hear a piano version.
great work!
Thank you very much
That's what art and talent are supposed to be... Inspiration for next generations.
@Grazia Thanks a lot for preserving this art with so much talent !

Molto bene. Childhood memories combined with a piano and now i have a goose skin.
It is unbelievable how Chris made this tune in the early 90' and still in nowadays talented performers play his song. Thank you, this was beautiful.
My pleasure! :-)
Late 80's, actually. 😊
🎉 Wonderfuuuul!
This is a great rendition of the most beautiful song I ever heard on the C64.

That Giana Sisters intro theme is weirdly underrated. Makes for a great piano piece-- well done!
