Well I spent $150.00 on some 3M carbon fibre gloss wrap for my car and I tried to follow your instructions but it was a dismal fail. Tried to do my roof that’s got a sunroof on it and nope. But at least I had a crack at it,I will be getting a professional to do my roof and front bumper. It looks easy but it’s far from easy stuff when your a beginner.
I have a 2019 ford focus st line and I’m thinking of doing my back lights (tint ) but they aren’t flat lights ,the have 2 step like bumps in them …do you have a vid or can you recommend one …hope to hear from you 🙏🏻
Just wondering if when you are peeling off the backing and building up a static charge, if a grounding wrist strap like computer techs use would help. Or if grounding out the vehicle body would help.
On my windshield some areas of the seal don’t pull away from the windshield. Any recommendation how to line up my wrap if I can’t tuck it in certain areas?
It depends on what you want the end result to be. You can use knifeless tape to make small seams, as many as you want and they may not be visible from 20' away. When it comes to a customer's vehicle you will want as few seams as possible, so you would do it in one piece. For your personal vehicle you can do it however you need to. If you are using your vehicle as a display to show that you wrap vehicles, you will not want seams visible around that area. I hope that helps. When I have to make seams with knifeless tape, I generally make them 1/8" wide and as hidden as possible.
Hey man, have you ever used P&S Triple S solution? If so do you think it would be useful for new solo wrappers to tackle larger panels on their own or best to steer clear of slip solution products?
How hard would you assume a 1964 Chevy Impala 2 door minus the roof would be. I’ve never done it before and trying to decide if I wanna do it myself or have a shop in my area do it for me.
Most wrap can be stretched around 10% before it starts to lose adhesive strength and finish quality. In a perfect world you could probably make that piece work, but you’d probably need 4 people stretching it evenly at each corner while someone else is heating it evenly throughout. It’s possible, but it may be very difficult/impossible by yourself.
@@larrylazure4288good luck. Keep in mind that a lot of carbon fiber wrap on the market (vinyl and PPF) are multilayered. Every edge that is exposed can potentially collect moisture which will dry out eventually. I’d recommend torching (very gently with a butane lighter) or using edge seal tape to prevent moisture from seeping in.
You'll need to stretch it a bit more than 3" but even if you stretch it 6" it won't be a problem unless you confine that stretch over a small area as opposed to the span of 5"
Window "tintser" here, we use stainless not carbon which avoids scratching glass. Any of the guys you see doing that are not doing it right!!! All love tho nice work
I just don’t get how this took this long. Like all he had to do is put a thicker knickers tape around the window and then glass the vinyl all should been done in like ten minutes
He's going slow dude he didn't stop talking the whole time every movement he talks about that's why!! I don't know how you didn't get the point. He even talks about his courses in the beginning because he's a teacher 😅
I'm about to do my front and back bumpers on my Sierra. Your Video's have been top notch and making me think of a career change.
You're a natural-born teacher.
I am starting to get into wraps, and I can not say thank you enough for all the videos and knowledge that you share. You're the man!!
I've been so anxious to see the other colorfusion colors...anticipation is killing me Christian haha
Great as always Chris! 🤙💪
"I don't have time these days to take the doors off and enjoy that part of things" I felt that 😢
Love it!
Another great video, amazing the things you can do. Trying to get started here in Australia but so difficult finding any nationally recognised courses
Tom Brady at it again with wrapping cars.

You the goat CK. Any tips for wrapping behind the cab of a pickup without having to push the whole bed back?
Hi I am wondering what heat gun you recommend and are there any cordless ones you do or don't recommend? Thanks for all of the great videos

Dumb question that you might get a lot; could you get a good enough seam using the knifeless tape to do it in 4 peices and save material?
I was thinking the same thing. VVivid probably gave it to him for demo.

How come Vivid, frog Vinyl, and 3M only sell 5ft sheets? Most car and truck hoods require 6ft x 6ft sheets and I can’t see to get that anywhere.
Can carbon fibre wrap be stretched? Want to do my tailgate. Piece I have is 2ft 6 in x 5 ft. My tail gate is 5ft 3in x just over 2 ft.

Thanks. I thinkI'm gonna install as it is and put vinyl checker plate on each side. Your videos are the best

Stainless blades? And he uses carbon? 4:37 just curious 👍🏽
