Does he understand that he is YELLING at the jury? That he is condescending.

He is not yelling, why are you saying that when we all can see he is not ??? He is passionate trying to convince the jury of his client’s innocence. Imagine listening to a story told by you … that’s why people should always take anything “with a grain of salt “

It’s too hard to believe anything from defense counsel because he acts too much like a showman and manipulator so he insults the human intelligence because no one likes to be played.

Do you think he actually believes the extortion story? Or do you think he helped Charlie make it up? It’s so outlandish! I feel like he knows it’s a lie.

Hi, it really seems like he believed Charlie so he made it super easy for Charlie to play it out. That’s what’s crazy! If none of the facts were shown Charlie could be seen as likable and trustworthy in a dumb sorta way. The defense atty is the one with an agenda.@@areeder5314

@@rec.thecriticwell supposedly Wendi had nothing to do with it, but she testified. Bare minimum Donna is in those phone conversations and she could testify to "clear up" any "misunderstandings" in those. As we discussed in Jury selection, Charlie is innocent because .... as they say, family is everything.
A family who commits the crime together deserves to do the time together.
Wendi & Donna sent Charlie. Harvey knew all along. Charlie sent Katie. Katie sent Sigfredo. Like Dan, Sig was a father who fell for a diabolical woman but took Dan's life and is now doing life.
Now, Charlie faces life in prison.
    The circle is almost full.
Wendi, Donna, and Harvey are next.
    Wendi played dumb.
Unlike Dan's family, none of Charlie's family members showed up to support him because Donna & Harvey planned on pleading the 5th - HIS OWN FAWKING PARENTS, mind you... Wendi only showed up to testify to try to save her own arse because all four culprits are GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY.
I was SO relieved to find out the Jury got it right. They did a fabulous job.
    Fry in HELL Charlie.
Can't WAIT for Donna's, Wendi's, and Harvey's indictment, although Harvey might get away with it.

The problem, Mr Rashbaum, is that the puzzle pieces DID fit.
Ms Cappleman took all the little pieces and put them together, and they gave the true and complete picture of an entitled family who considered themselves above the law. They put their faith in money and privilege, and it failed them. The bumpkins of Tallahassee may not have much money or privilege, but what they did have was discernment and insight. They weren't hoodwinked by a fancy tale that had no logic. So who won? Not the Adelsons.

The defense chose to assume the burden of proof when they revealed it was an extortion. The defense closing is poor. He says that Katie said it had to be a murder. Earlier the defense said Katie was frantic when she met charlie saying they went overboard and killed Dan. Too many conflicting stories. Katie was protecting Sigfredo. That's why she didn't take immunity. She regrets every choice she's made.

One of the worst defense strategies i have ever witnessed during my 45 years of watching/reading about trials. This attorney was so bad, he actually helped bury Charlie even deeper. He was slow, not interesting, not convincing. If he really thinks that Katie is a criminal mastermind who extorted the Adelson's, then this lawyer is an absolute idiot. But i think that he is a common liar.
