No one is talking about Spencer Steer. He's playing at an MVP level so far.
Bc he stormed the capitol on that story day
@@MungBeena wear a mask in your car and go away
@@MungBeena You're one of those guys lol
Go sniff glue
@@MungBeena no way is this true
Very exciting player. The major thing for him will be consistent plate discipline. So much ceiling when I watch this guy play
He’ll get better. Gotta remember he’s 6’6-6’7 it’s hard when your that tall
@millywok and also just 22 with a half season worth of time in Triple A as well !!! The talent alone makes him good enough to learn better pitch selection and recognition 👏 HE'LL be better in the long run because of it !!
It seems like his plate discipline is a lot better this year, I've always said why would anybody throw him a fastball, he's learning how to hit the off speed and staying away from garbage curve balls. It seems like his eye is getting better.
Hes so fun to watch
It’s really similar to the stuff acuna does. Love seeing both these guys play at the same time. They can take a routine ground ball, run it out, steal two bases, and cruise home on a dinger rbi within about 2 min of game time. Not to mention they go yard.
I hope he goes off on friday when they play the white sox cant wait to see him in person!
As a Reds fan, I just hope we can keep de la cruz and steer when their contracts come up.
Good luck you guys are going to get cancelled. Reds fans are so cringe
Elly work discipline is the key! I have no doubts he'll become a great hitter.
Elly is so easy to root for. Games are more exciting when he's playing.
The flash of the MLB
Got De La Cruz at SS, Acuna Jr. at RF, Witt Jr. at 2B and Tatis Jr. covering center on MLB the Show 24. Bases will be stolen
The post is about De La Cruz. I'm sure he's good but this kid is putting people in the seats
Sick analyst right there..
There are few things more fun than an inside the park homer.
as I write this I think we are only 10 or 12 games in bt I have him as an MVP candidate
I think steer will finish higher in the MVP Convo for the reds, not that Elly doesn't have more tools i think he just needs one more year in the bigs to reach that next level. Either way, the reds future is so bright
@@Tjstev I mean u could make the argument tht Elly is there best player already and he’s only in his second season and this is going to be his first full season he’s exciting to watch every day bc u don’t know what’s gonna happen even if he doesn’t win it. I definitely think he’ll still finish top three in voting
@@TjstevI'm with you , this year is important for his development and pitch recognition but atleast he's good enough to do that at the MLB level instead of Triple A ! MVP and Elly is more next year , Steer is easily their most consistent and best overall player right now !!!
@@kman484ify steer is leading the MLB in batting average and in RBIs. He's the best player.
@@Tjstev thts fine the season just started things change everyday in the Sport of baseball
WITH BETTER PLATE DISCIPLINE .. ELLY DE LA CRUZ CAN BE A NL MVP CANDIDATE ..
At 22, he's impressive with his skills but more impressive with his work ethic. Learning a new language shows he has the determination.
Way to go elly. " la cocoa "
Great athelete, the problem is, he has a hard time with staying consistent. As soon as he figures that out, the sky is the limit.
Move him up from 6th in the lineup please
If Elly is on base, he is actually on 3rd base just got to give him time. Elly should concentrate more on getting on base rather than going for pure power
Nothing more fun to stand in the crowd that’s chanting go go go. And cheering when they take off. Not since Henderson or Lofton was it know they were going just what count they chose and they still had trouble getting them picked off. Glad other fans get to experience what I did as a young man when Lofton would get on
what is Elly like 21 years old, he is still learning.
Dominicano tenía que ser Elly De La Cruz
"all of this is ready to fire" what you mean by that bro
From a reds fan, we want to hear more about spencer steer. He’s simply better in every way and gets shafted by the media🤷♂️
And as a reds fan your right he’s not getting any attention but he is no way better in EVERY way.
Same thing to McLain. But if Elly figures it out it’s not even close lol
Elly has the flasher side that sells tickets ...but steer is solid and will always hit for a higher avg than Elly. ..
Steer is the silent killer, let’s keep it that way
@@jharp08McClain isn't even playing
I like that guy. I think it’s very respectful and respectable for him to learn English. Mainly and especially if you are staying or planning on living in the United States. It’s common courtesy. Elly is a good guy, seems like he was raised right.
Ely is awesome but he strikes out way too often
He does. But he is 22 years old and has plenty of time to refine himself. Reminds me of Aaron Judge(because of how tall and large their strike zone is) and how Judge had a big strikeout issue early in his career. As he learns how the pitchers work against him and how each Ump is gonna call the zone on a guy 6'5 or taller he will hopefully find some consistency. Judge has done a tremendous job of adjusting as a giant in the box, the blueprint is there for Elly.
That can be fixed
@@jakenbake9878 Very well put. I feel that the umps aren't so great at calling strikes on him either. They call a lot of low pitches beneath his kneecaps it seems like, causing him to feel like he might have to chase bad pitches.
He can't play SS to save his life.
