    Ingredients:
    2 cups almond flour
    1 cup powdered sugar
    3 large egg whites
    1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 teaspoon almond extract
    Food coloring (optional)
    Instructions:
    Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    In a large bowl, sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar. Set aside.
    In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt until foamy.
    Gradually add the granulated sugar to the egg white mixture, beating until stiff peaks form.
    Gently fold in the almond extract and food coloring, if using.
    Carefully fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites until well combined.
    Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a round tip and pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheet.
    Let the macaroons sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to form a skin.
    Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the macaroons are firm and slightly golden around the edges.
    Allow the macaroons to cool completely on the baking sheet before removing.
    Tips:
    Make sure your mixing bowls and utensils are completely clean and free of any grease.
    Be patient while folding the ingredients; overmixing can cause the macaroons to be flat.
    Experiment with different fillings like buttercream, ganache, or fruit preserves for added flavor.
