I just wanted to put some clarification about burst glide here because I don’t think I was very clear when recording this. The glide continues going in the direction of your current momentum. So if you are going down when you activate it, you will glide down. If you have reached the apex of your jump, you will float in the air, if you are going up you will go up when you activate your jump.
Also as of making this comment eager edge is disabled in pvp, so the method of practicing mentioned in the video does not work at the moment. I don’t know of many other spots to practice well staking consistently, so it might be difficult until that’s reverted.
As hunter and warlock main I don't think they are the same timing I have a 99% success rate on well skating but I cant do shatter skating Everytime. For example in the Bonfire activity I can't get a single shatterskate done for some reason @@mrwonton4756
just another thing, vortex frames eager edge heavy will send you further than the half truths or other half so id recommend using the slammer or fallen guillotine for well skating
Warlocks movement can be the best in the game, but its definitely difficult to use effectively. I must admit I do wish warlocks other subclasses had some form of movement like solars, not exactly the same as icarus dash but something that opens up some options and requires some skill to use
just felt like sharing why the strafe+icarus(or dawnblade) work is that its a change way back in the go fast update during the warmind expansion as all jumps while in dawnblade had their velocity increased but with burst being both the most used and the best it was eventually toned back but the others remained untouched and its just been left that way. also during this update heat rises did not exist in the way it does now and wouldnt for another year.
Great vid thx, earned a sub. Gonna train those things on my Warlock, but first I'll have to farm an Eager Edge sword. XD EDIT: just seen the outro - take care man.
Honestly, Warlock jump is the worst out of the three. Its just that Solar has amazing tech that synergises with the physics system. Playing any other sublass makes me feel like a deflating balloon
literally no, its only the worst to recover from mistakes, but even without any exotic or heat rises or ic dash it can go quite a bit farther than all other classes in addition to going higher than triple jump and strafe lift, while also being the best jump to use mountaintop with
Skill issue. It's the worst at fixing your botched jumps. If you just don't do that, you've got the best for plenty of the game's movement checks, even without a majority of techs presented in this vid.
You just kind of get used to it. Play with it a long while, you'll learn where it's strengths and weaknesses are and how to use it effectively. It's the only jump I use now and I can tell you for damn sure that jumping around corners is basically the only thing I struggle with anymore lol
Mastery over it primarily because it's the only glide I use. There will always be those odd moments where you just straight up screw it up, but getting good at it while considering it the only glide means you also get used to moving faster too.

You can Penumbral cancel just like Snap cancel and get some good speed from it, minus the Icarus dash.
