Boy, do I love Pilot. I've only been familiar with their roller ball pens, but the crisp lines are beautiful. A great combination of pen, ink, and paper.

Kakunos are my favourites to use. I dislike the EF for writing but its obviously good for your application. I also use a converter because colour is my whole point in a pen ;-D

this is my all time favorite pen. i have a pilot 823 and a lamy 2000 but something about this steel ef nib, transparent body, and snap cap make it the writing tool i most consistently want to use

The nib is truly amazing, especially when it comes to drawing on a watercolour paper

Got a couple Kakuno last week, they are amazing and very cheap. EF is great for drawing

I recommend that you try it with the perfectly compatible Pilot CON-70 converter: it has a huge capacity and never dries up, unlike 90% of the pens that can be used for sketching.

Nice ASMR video! Great little pen. I have several, and use them regularly. I’m a FP collector, and I have some expensive pens, but for the majority of my writing I use entry leave pens from Pilot and Lamy. I often question myself on why I buy expensive pens when the Pilot Kakuno, Metropolitan, and Prera pens and the Lamy Safari and Vista pens are as good as any $200 pen I own. The answer is, I love fountain pens, and I can afford to buy some expensive pens. Expensive pens may increase in value. Thanks for the video-I’ve subscribed.

Fountain pen collecting is a great hobby! You get to grow the collection of something you love and actually have a practical use for. Another factor is that each nib can perform differently with various types of paper and tasks. Thanks for your comment!

@@penpalaver Experimenting with paper, while not a hobby, is something I enjoy a lot. 😁

What nib is it? Stainless steel or gold?

I have a suggestion for future videos, if you plan on doing more. Please do fewer of these abrupt edits where you interrupt the action to jump to the next action. I notice that you especially like doing this in the middle of action which has a continuous audio accompanying it. It’s like an abrupt cut, jumping to a very very brief silent moment, and then new audio. This can be effective occasionally. But when it’s being done again and again across the video it is incredibly irritating and disrupting to viewers.

This is especially popular with ASMR videos. It is entirely intentional, and very common with unboxing content. I suspect that this uploader knows that this is uncommon for a pen channel, and will continue to utilize this format as long as they don't intend on speaking throughout the video.

I thought the exact opposite of the editing. He skipped parts of the video that I would have skipped myself.
      I loved the editing 😅
