Thank you. I enjoy your video tutorials, your art, and your drawing & painting style very much. Your voice is so very soothing. Your videos are encouraging and inspiring. ❤
Love the Safaris for sketching! And I like your sketch a lot. Haha, I do like to have one designated ink colour for each pen, too. One thing I do differently, I fill the converter before putting it into the pen. Less messy, ;) I also like to draw with vintage Pelikans, especially the Silvexa, they are lovely.
Just got my first fountain pen for sketching. It's a Pilot. I like your idea of different pens for different colors. I will look into the Lamy pen for sepia. Love your sketching sryle!
I just got a twasbi fountain pen and I use platinum carbon ink and it’s an amazing pen! The whole barrel is the ink well & it holds a ton of ink & it never clogs and it writes/draws so well! I was using another brand fountain pen and had problems with it clogging & the ink dried up really fast.
I recommend the TWISBI Eco. It holds a lot of ink and the chamber is always visible. They are reasonably priced ($40 CDN). I have three TWISBI and three LAMY AL-Star pends. Each has a different ink. I use Noodler's Lexington Grey, Platinum Carbon Black and Platinum Brun Sepia for my waterproof inks. I use Herbin Lie de The (a wonderful soft sepia colour with reddish undertone) which is wonderful for urban sketching. It bleeds wonderfully. I use Ferris Wheel Press April Showers, not waterproof, but it is a lovely pale grey. My other two pens are inked with a variety of other colours, as I feel inspired. I do notice that a LAMY F nib is equally to a TWISBI XF nib.
@@leanngoodall7602 do I have to use it everyday, or it will clog, I had a clogging issue with the lamy, and another ink type please help, I want to try your setup
Thank you! I bought a Lamy Safari med nib! I love my Micron pens, but after a while I wear the tip down to nothing! I think there’s probably more ink inside but I wear them down. I’m ready to give this a go!
I use Extra Fine on A6 paper. I refill it properly without mess😅. Watched your videos, you’re amazing. I usually draw line art. You inspired me to try watercolour.
I have the same exact pen! I like it; I have F but I wonder if M would be better for me. My favorite fountain pen is actually Hongdian because I can I get the bent nib.
Thanks for the recommendation! I have been looking at bent nibs, so will definitely check out Hongdian ☺️ for Lamy I am considering getting different nibs to try too😬🫣
Wow, I just got myself the exact same pen and ink 2 weeks ago and have been obsessed. I was planning on getting another for white ink so I could highlight drawings and other black and white fun but it turns out white inks are too thick for fountain pens. 😢 Lovely drawing, too! You’re a fantastic artist.
Ever use sepia ink in your pen instead of black? I bet sepia linework would look great with your artwork. Sepia linework looks much better than black, imo. Love your work. Keep it up!
I think this is quite difficult cos if we take out the converter when it still has inks, it will leak and become messy, it will be difficult to store the converter with ink as well, when changing inks we always have to flush the remaining inks from the pen so it wont mix with other color and clogging up the pen~ i just learned this as well cos im new to fountain pen, but it requires quite a lot of maintenance, so i agree that it is easier to buy new pen and fill with different color than changing the color in one pen only
I think you might enjoy Kakimori brass nib dip pen for sketching. One nib that has various line weights. Holds tons of ink and I like using it with Kakimori water-resistant black ink #10 :)
Amazing! I really enjoyed your sketching ☺️. Can you tell me were did you got this lamy ink pen ? Or , maybe can I find it on a shopping site ? Thank you from Morocco !
I love your videos and your work, and I thought of getting a a fountain pen for sketching as well. What nib is more suitable for sketching? Does LAMY have water proof ink cartridges as well?
I make fountain pens and they use the exact same pump that yours does. It also has the ability to switch it out for one time use ink tubes and and they come in different colors. BUT my question is did you erase your pencil marks once you were done?
I mentioned Alex Hillkurtz, you can find him on Instagram or watch his lessons on Domestika 🤗 Albert Kiefer is the House Sketcher on Instagram and I think he has Domestika lessons too
Thank you for showing us the box and warranty card. Now we know how a real lamy looks like. The world is full on fakes out there... If you still have this pen please make also a video or a short of how the x is on the cap and how the Germany is on bottom. Every little detail that will help us separate the reals from fakes. Greetings from Greece!
"far from perfect" ? This is the most beautiful and cozy art i have seen in a while !
You observed "other masters"? ... You are the master! And we love you and your art lol. Your casual wobbly line style is the best!

Thanks for the recommendation! Twsbi pens do look tempting, will try them out soonest😄❤️
Have you tried Noodler's Lexington Grey?. It is also waterproof but a lighter colour than the Platinum carbon Black.

My favorite combination, too!

It looks so good and warm ❤

yes. same for me.
Nice review, Lamy has so many colors (and nibs).
I like Sketch ink from r&k, they are super water proof and came in colors.
Beautifully done, you are an inspiration. Thank you, from Oregon, USA

Lovely for a Sunday afternoon watch. I will get my fountain pens out and have a scribble now... Thank you!
not when u run out of ink
Wow - this was SO informative - thank you!
Did You think about using different converters for different colours? Less expensive than one pen per colour…😊
This was my thought as well!
I think this is quite difficult cos if we take out the converter when it still has inks, it will leak and become messy, it will be difficult to store the converter with ink as well, when changing inks we always have to flush the remaining inks from the pen so it wont mix with other color and clogging up the pen~ i just learned this as well cos im new to fountain pen, but it requires quite a lot of maintenance, so i agree that it is easier to buy new pen and fill with different color than changing the color in one pen only
If you want something like that look into dip pens i have one of those glass dip pens (i forget the name) and i love it!😄
Or better yet, learn to use a syringe to clean and refill used cartidrages
Still have to wash out the nib or it takes forever it to change color.

Thanks for recommending! ❤️Will definitely try it 😊
Tom’s Studio, in the UK hand make some amazing fountain pens and they have interchangeable nibs and include the converter.
Amazing! I really enjoyed your sketching ☺️. Can you tell me were did you got this lamy ink pen ? Or , maybe can I find it on a shopping site ?
Thank you from Morocco !
This video was so helpful! Also, you have such beautiful hands!
Have you ever filled the converter with waterproof and non-waterproof ink alternatively? I'm wondering if it caused discrete ink flow 🤔
How do you choose your nib size? I can’t decide between F and M. Your guidance is much appreciated
F and M are almost the same. Too thick for writing, but great on textured paper, like the one she’s using.
I love your videos and your work, and I thought of getting a a fountain pen for sketching as well. What nib is more suitable for sketching? Does LAMY have water proof ink cartridges as well?

OMG! I LOVED watching this - i must try, thankyou so much! Any chance of our being able to see it painted...pretty please? 😘
It’s on her IG dear
Loved this video!
Awesome ❤
I love your videos, voice and fingers😍
I bought Lamy Safari M nib a year ago and i like it. But i think M nib is too big for me😅
Thank you so much 🥰 I think M nib is a bit small for me, so I’m thinking of getting the broad nib actually, to each their own😄
Very beautiful 😊
I'm a lefty. Does noodle's ink dry fast or can you recommend one that both dry fast but doesn't feather?
That’s a true artist… it’s all about the character
Hi Jillee, beautiful work! Can you share your source photo?
❤❤❤ thank you ❤❤❤
Ya tambien tengo un boligarfo asi pero es azul transparente 🤗🤗😏
Hi 👋 very nice art like it ♥️♥️
Thank you ❤️❤️
Hi, where do you find your reference photos? They look great
Hey there, the reference pictures in this video were taken by me actually, so thanks!🥰📸
She mentioned that it’s the Merdeka Village neighbourhood of George Town, Penan. You can find pictures of it online, don’t be lazy.
What type of paper do you use ? Is it available online ? 👀
Can’t read? It’s Arches cold pressed, as it was SHOWN in the bloody video.
@@ELENAOttawa what's the bloody video bro?
What place did you draw?
Who is this Alec? You refer to and where to find? Thanks

Amziing…
You said the ink is bullet proof lol
noodler’s black is actually labeled as “bullet proof”
😂 imma use this as my bulletproof vest

Thanks for the comment and suggestions! Making a short about how to identify a real Lamy sounds like a good idea ☺️👍
There is a far less messy way to fill your converter that you might prefer:
