To be honest, realising this compared to many years ago, even Sight Training, Maths Training XD, that original naming of titles on the DS was a bit of a waste, but Brain Training (and the sequel, no idea about Big Brain Academy though or later ideas) had differences due to different areas it was training and the person behind it in the first place. XD Sigh the Wii & DS's casual ideas just were strange for Nintendo to make for the time.

It definitely has it's benefits for sure. Problem for me is my legs are ruined so a lot of the standing and balance stuff makes it really painful to play.
As a person, who himself has suffered from obesity- I'll agree- stress and mental issues can really make you wear out your body (As an example- I'm currently 1.9 meters tall and weigh at around 65-70 kilos, but when I was in 6th grade- I was about 1.7 meters tall and had even more weight, but due to being bullied and having self-esteem issues- in a year I was weighing at almost 40 kilos, which nearly devastated my body) So, what I'm trying to say is- no matter how much weight you have- losing weight due to stress instead of excercise is only going to make things worse even lethal, so please, just try not to emotionally burn yourself out, it's better to try and force yourself into a regular excercise schedule (taking into consideration your health and leg of course), rather than drive yourself into coma. P.S Great video as always, a lot of actually valid points about wii fit (and great humor:D)
I remember looking up how easily you can cheat this game just from how little they are using to detect your movements sometimes. like the jogging game you can literally just wave one hand back and forth and the game will make you wait for getting ahead of the lead jogger, while eating a muffin in the other hand XD
Oh boy Wii Fit! I'm not much of an athletic person either, but me and my family played this game a lot back when it first released, especially with the minigames here. I always knew there were some flaws with it, be it because I was a lazy bastard that liked to sit down and waggle the Wiimote while watching Tom and Jerry on the side whenever I do the jogging game, or the fact that some minigames are just literal repeats of the same shit like you said, but I always remember the good times I had with the Balancing and some of the Workout minigames. It never really did encourage me to exercise more (I pretty much dropped that phase about a year or two later), but it was rather fun for its time, which probably explains why I never really went back to it, and why I didn't really care when I skipped out on Wii Fit Plus or Wii Fit U when those got released.
With the Wii Fit, the first game, I agree with all of your points. The Yoga and Rhythm activities were the favorites of the game. The meditation one was a pain to complete because it cheats at times. I actually was scared about my weight causing trouble in the jogging one so I had to jog around the room while the floor squeaks all over the place XD. I usually avoid that one like the plague. Because of the Yoga poses, I learned the spinal twist, which helped me crack my back and it feels so satisfying for a bit and makes me feel better. I kept falling out from the habit of playing the game due to the different choices, but lack of such after overcoming those activities.
When Jak's face in the thumbnail looks like he's shitting himself, more than him looking like he's working out 😂. But in all seriousness though, great video, keep up the good work.

Well at least you gave it a try. I remember trying Wii Fit way back in the day (like I believe 2006) with a friend and while it was pretty fun, I can see how it's not as effective as the eye toy workouts. An effective workout requires a good amount physical activity. I can see this game being more beneficial as a good introduction to Yoga at the very least. I dunno, as someone who works out regularly and has for the last 5+ years, I guess that's why the Wii-Fit version doesn't look that appealing a tool to getting to workout with. Anyway!
