Not much chance of getting hit by lightning. When you get to the elevation where you can see for miles and miles and you realize that it's just a small portion of one state you can extrapolate how big the world is.

I more commonly comment on your other channel, but I just had to offer a hearty thank you for this exceptional mountain adventure. As others have noted, both your drone use and the editing of that footage were brilliant - nothing short of a master class. Thank you!

Please put you snowshoes on! It's not just about the snow depth, it's also about keeping the trail in nice shape for everyone else. While you didn't posthole up to your knees, your steps sunk in enough to create a minefield as the snow melts and re-freezes. Remember, you're not the only person to do this; 18:18

I would say Quandary is one of the most climbed. Bierstadt or Grays is probably the most climbed as they are close to Denver and easier than Quandary. Bierstadt is only 2 hours to the summit in summer. When you had the drone moving backwards when you were on the summit the mountains you were looking at were the Gore Range. You have to go there. I suggest Peaks E, F, G, and H. It is a day trip as I have done it before. You will be amazed. Don’t forget the Grenadier Range. Arrow is a good one. Vestal and Jagged are low 5th but can be soloed. Grenadiers will have to be an overnighter. Trinity Traverse is a good one too. Stay with 13ers, much better and less crowded. For the Sangres do Milwaukee to Pico Asilado.

Visited Colorado in early June and it was still winter then too 😬🥶. Snow in June was a first for me. Getting snowed in on the wrong side of a pass gave me a long detour. Estes Park was a tourist madhouse that I avoided 100% except to drive in and out.

Truly stunning footage, Tristan. 🏔👍🏼 I lived in Vail, not far from Quandary, for many years, but never climbed it. I live in NW Washington now and it reminds me of Mt. Baker's straightforward ascent, but surrounded by so many other high elevation peaks! There's nothing like the heart of the Colorado Rockies. ❤ In addition to the excitement you shared at the summit, your "that was an awesome day" look back at the car was very inspiring, too. 😊 Thanks for taking us along. 🙏

Thanks for bringing back the memories! When I lived in Breck we climbed it via the South chute in the Summer and, in the Winter, via your route followed by snowboarding off the North Chute down to the lake. It's a great mountain and I feel so lucky to have lived right there before it became so impacted with people.

Thanks for the video Tristan ! My favorite part was when you mentioned that you bought the pink gaiters in order to claim the $2 savings. I have done the same many times. I think that a wise person seldom chooses facade over utility and value. You are apparently secure enough not to be concerned about what anyone else may think. 👍 It looks like your decision to postpone your hike a day was a fortunate choice. You got to make the climb under optimum rather than miserable conditions.
