  • Believe it or not some of the most important things to learn in barbering don't require you to even touch hair or hair tools. Training your eye and training your mind to understand, versus replicate will seperate you from the "cookie cutter" barbers and give you a better chance to succeed at customizing great looking haircuts and hairstyles.

That point about cutting too high up into the parietal ridge is the #1 issue I have getting a cut, I just didn’t know how to explain it before. I swear 90% of barbers I’ve run into do this and it drives me crazy. Completely ruins the cut.

Hey Gino, great stuff. Just wish you'd lower the background music, and increased your own voice!

This is exactly the video I need, thank you! The background music seems louder than the narration, I'm having a little trouble..

Great vid, I’m just starting out, my only comment would be that the music is a bit high in your mix, makes it a bit hard to really grasp the information, thanks...

Great info. Head shapes have always been a question mark for me in terms of cutting. Especially like your final tip of keeping an photo archive of my work to gauge improvement or need of it. Thanks heaps !

GREAT video!! you finally described the peritial ridge when I can understand it! Would love some videos on how to do block graduation; ie WHERE to cut. Some videos on how to use thinning shears and chunking shears. Can't wait to watch the rest of your vids!

Watched this video so I can tell my bf why his haircut isn’t working out. So many barbers do a fade that creeps into the top of the head and it’s so horrible. Guys, beware!

bro I got the protruding o bone, not as bad as the one in the video but it still sticks out a lil bit and I'm trying to find a haircut that'll make my head look flatter, should I get a low taper or a fade that goes higher like a mid fade or high fade

As a barber still cutting up homies in the washroom, I HATE seeing people with cuts way too high up the parietal ridge. People be paying to look like Bert and Ernie 😂. In terms of future content, I'd like to see your approach to sectioning.
Some constructive criticism, I would lower the background music a little bit as your voice gets drowned out occasionally.

    • @ginodominic

I'm dead lol! Bert and Ernie is too good of an example😂 real ones will know!
I appreciate the feedback, I will definitely pay attention to this more, especially making sure I speak into the mic!

The background music is significantly louder than your voice. It seems like this would be a great video though.

Great video but the music is way too load as I found it hard to concentrate on your voice. Maybe re release the video without the music wouy be a much better idea.

    Too loud and distracting.
