As a male, I have never had a stylist pay this much attention to the shape of my head and hair, which is why I feel I’ve never truly had a quality haircut. It’s like people cut corners because they can. I’m almost 54 years old and have yet to find someone who I feel knows what they’re doing - or they just don’t want to. So frustrating!
Its a marketing tactic, they leave a few unanswered questions so people are more inclined to but their courses. Smart move and id do the same if i were in their position.
Ah yes the new way of cutting hair where you overcomplicate things and cut with scissors, just to use the clippers and cut off most of what you just did
It's not new, it's actually classic and in certain cases the most right way to cutting hair and many high level barbers use it often. He didn't cut off anything, he took off the mass with scissors to have more control so end result is really precious and clean. The man obviously has salon background so he knows how to cut top zone better than anyone else but his fade is not ideally smooth what is traditional for salon hairdressers.
@@hyihyev867 it’s very much new believe it or not. Classic barbering was more about speed and efficiency as there was not enough money in the field to justify spending that much time. I know it looks like a classic technique but it isn’t
@@MoeLehster it's not barbers, it's hairdressers technique and there is nothing new in it, it's old and classic use of scissors. It's also not slow, experienced hairdressers can cut male classic or female bob haircut in 20 minutes using only scissors. Beginner barbers often have poor skills in cutting top zone hair caring more about fades. Hairdressers usually do bad fades but scissors work is no problem for them. Educated masters both barbers and hairdressers use both techniques and without losing time.
@@hyihyev867 What I’m saying is, the mixing between the scissor work and clipper work where you cut off most of what you’ve done with the scissors by clipper is new. Also unnecessary. The scissor work isn’t new I know that, but “educators” tend to use this new method to cut hair to make themselves seem more knowledgeable, but it’s inefficient because they definitely cut off a lot of the work they’ve spent all that time on. I’ve witnessed it time and time again

I wish more of the technique had been shown. It’s like we skipped a lot of the side cutting and top cutting.
