The Delta Platinum is getting a lot of love in the comments (and in my opinion rightfully so). If you want to learn a little more about it or are interested in applying, it'd mean a lot if you used the following link! rdguarantee.link/Delta-Platinum 🚨Remember: AmEx loves using targeted offers, so try using that link in a normal browser first and then compare it against an incognito browser. When I do that, I'm shown a 90K SkyMiles Sign-Up Bonus vs. a 60K in the normal browser.
On the business version of the altitude connect it goes up to 150,000 annually for redemptions on spend. I'm a truck driver who purchases 75 to $100,000 a year in fuel and have gotten rewarded all the way up. I used my points to book a Marriott hotel in Manhattan a few months ago with no issues.
The Delta card is underrated. People bag on the skymiles but it’s a decent value for domestic travel. Add the companion ticket, and it’s an easy value.
When people bag on the value of SkyMiles I think the travel experience aspect with Delta is often overlooked. In my experience I've had fewer delays, no lost luggage, more pleasant customer service, and most of their fleet has better in-flight entertainment than most other airlines.
Yep, you're right. The lower cash back one is less appealing to me though and that 5% back from the higher tier card might even make signing up for Prime worth it if you shop enough at Amazon.
I love the breakdown and agree with your choices. The Amazon Prime Visa is 🔥🔥🔥. I’m torn between the Delta Platinum and the Gold. I have too many Amex cards so at the time I am unable to apply for either one of them. Thank you for the great content!
Thanks for the comment, Joe! If you're feeling a little hesitant about being able to maximize value out of the Delta Platinum, when you end up dropping an AmEx card it may not hurt to apply for the Gold first to see if you enjoy the experience and then upgrade to the Platinum if so. Keep up the great content on your end too.
I used the delta platinum to book BOS to HNL for less than $600 round trip for two. Mom used her reserve to book another 2. We got upgraded with silver status to delta one and mom and sister got upgraded to premium select with only the reserve card!
Hi, interesting video. What is your opinion on having both the Delta Reserve and the Delta Platinum at the same time? That combination can automatically give you Medallion Silver status. Do you think it is worth it?
Nice choices. I am also a big USB connect fan. If you double up with a spouse/player 2 getting their own, then the tsa and lounge access just kicks butt for free.. Not only that, it is one of the dwindling few that still give Priority Pass restaurant access. Considering the crowded lounges these days, that experience seems overrated. I appreciate going to a restaurant instead where you get your own table and wait service. Its just a winning card👍
I don't shop Whole Foods and I'm not a big Amazon shopper, but the Chase Prime card is a no-brainer for anyone with a Prime account. I was denied for this card last December, since I had recently added the Venture X and Hawaiian Air cards to my wallet. At this point I will wait until they have a good bonus offer-maybe Nov/Dec-and my recent history looks better to Chase. Looking forward to the 5% back.
I think you're right. If you're already paying for a Prime membership, why not tap into that 5% back? Some might argue that they'd rather have points or miles than cash back but I think that's only true if you have great redemption options in mind that you'll be able to get 2-3CPP+ out of those points.
Totally Agree on the Delta Platinum. I plan on upgrading my Business Gold to the Business Platinum this year. (Same benefits as the personal ones.) One other thing you didn't mention with the Delta cards...you get a 15% discount on award flights just by holding the card. That could help "pay" for one upgrade while booking.
BofA customized was my first CC and since then I use it for online spending, then I got Amex BCP Strong multiplayer and the Disney bundle credit, but since I got the Gold card it will make sense downgrade to BCE use the online shopping and then rotate the BofA to another category that is not cover at the moment. What a game the credit cards 😅
Haha yep, you've got to be flexible as things change. The Customized Cash Rewards was one of my buddy's first cards as well from nearly 10 years ago and he's still pushing the online shopping category and hoping to get Preferred Rewards going in the near future.
Good list of underrated cards! The Altitude Connect is great for casual travelers and the Delta Platinum is easy to get a ton of value from if you fly Delta. The Blue Cash Preferred is overrated in my opinion. Sure, you get the Disney credit but you can get that with the no AF Blue Cash Everday, and I’d rather have its 3% online category over an effective 4.5% back on groceries.
Appreciate it! I think the BCP is so valuable for the right person. If you're under that $6K grocery spend limit for the year and would rather have simple cash back vs. points/miles, it's hard to beat. Not a standalone card, but it's great for those who don't mind juggling a few cards in their wallet.

Wow TSA Credit on a no annual fee card is huge, awesome list!
That, plus lounge access? Sheesh.
I know this is too good to be true, like is there a catch to this? how does this benefit US bank
@ fidelity card has it too, it's a once every 5 year benefit so I'm sure it's not too much of a loss

@@TheRDGuarantee Yes, yes, and yes! The quality of the experience is also worth it
@@TheRDGuarantee It is definitely a better airline, but the miles cost is extremely high.
You don't have to be a prime member to get the Amazon card. You do get a lower cash back if you don't have prime, though.

Nice! I've yet to experience Delta One but hope I can soon.

Yeah, I can't believe there's no annual fee on it. Thanks for sharing!
Started to use full power of Delta Platinum and been loving it!

I have the Altitude Connect and I love it!
So much value packed on a no annual fee card.

I got my delta card 3 months ago worth it in every sense -
Sky club access ✅
Sky miles ✅
Bonus miles at restaurants ✅
My amazon card gets me free stuff all the time. It adds up fast!
I believe it - I think most people probably spend more than they realize on Amazon.
Delta devalues their program every year
