Wow that room looks great! I know your new room will be even better! My new house is taking forever, I think it's been, "90 days from completion" for at least 120 days and my builder still says, "90 days!" There are shortages in materials and labor so everything is just taking forever. The good news is that it looks like my current old house (with no theater) is going to sell for quite a bit more than I ever imagined, the new theater budget just got bigger:-)

You've got a great theater and a very large and pretty house. It will be extremely expensive for the house and equipments here in Taiwan.
I believe the experience in building this room will definitely help to design your new home theater and aviod most of the mistakes if any happened here.

Are the new owners keeping the room as a theatre room? Would be a shame to waste all that insulation, risers and theatre specific wiring.
Yes they will be using the theater as is, im removing all my equipment but tes leaving some wiring etc.. but can easily be all done with my new build house / brand new room 😁🍻👌 stay tuned

I am curious about what you’re leaving behind and what you sold with the house. I always imagined I would just include all my theater rack mounted tech and in wall speakers, receiver, etc with the house as a fully functional theater room. Let me know how your selling process worked!

Most Definately increases value and a major impact on sale, specially a dedicated room like mine. Nowdays yes most homes have a media room but thats just a standard room with couple of speakers. Every single person that saw the house was also wowed about the theater aswell as the house but anything to do with entertainment, it most Definately catches the buyers eyes. If you chase up the article about my home on realestate.com its titles about the home theater is the major grab of attraction and thats what most real estates do, make sure special rooms are highlighted. New buyer wasnt so concerned about removing everything. Hope this helps.

Should of left the thearte the way it was for the next owners, your house would of came for more value then you could of upgraded the system for your next home, yeah Sydney is expensive but i gurentee you would of gotten more for that.
The owner didn't request for the theater to stay and wasnt willing to pay more than what they did. I think this way is a win win for me..🤙🍻
