I absolutely love that they trusted him enough to give his own spin on the character. Sometimes, trusting an actor to give his own interpretation can be a bit risky, but here it really pays off. I found his take on the character so much more interesting and nuanced than the comic version, and that is a rare thing.

I loved that about him. He's also more open and relaxed when he speaks in Cantonese, he shares a lot more. While he is perfectly fluent in English, his English responses are usually very guarded. I giggled a little when he introduced himself to the camera after the interviewer asked him to tell why Singaporeans should watch Shang-Chi. I was like, Dude, everybody knows who you are! Old habits die hard from his HK TV days, I guess!

As someone who's encountered quite a few A-list actors through my profession, I've found that some have climbed to where they are by being tough bullies and others have managed to accomplish it with kindness and grace (which is MUCH harder in such a harsh industry). Tony is clearly part of the latter and it makes him that much more respectable 💖

Seeing those wrinkles on his face when he's smiling so widely....he's so precious, but it also made me realized...so many years have passed and he is so much older now. In my head, he's always in his 40s. I seriously can't believe he's turning 60 next year. He's really aging so gracefully, so wise yet so young at heart. Trying new things, stepping out of his comfort zone at this age. He's such an amazing person and actor. I seriously can't wait to watch Shang-Chi. And we need a director's cut!!! Apparently he showed up to set and just watched all filming. Never went to his trailer or did anything but watch the scenes being filmed. He apparently was super prepared, never missed a line, and was always ready for the scene. He's a hard worker as well.

It's so so special to me to hear Tony speak Cantonese in this interview. I grew up watching him in my grandma's HK shows that'd always play on our tv, and to see him now in my favourite franchise and comfortably speaking Cantonese, the language I speak at home to all my family, makes me quite emotional.

He's definitely more talkative and lively in this press junket than the one posted on Stream Wars. But that's because he's more comfortable answering in Cantonese than in full English. His answers and demeanor in that one was very dry/abrupt and he didn't answer them fully, when the interviewer threw multi-pointed questions at him. I have a feeling that one took place before this one, which is why he asked to speak in Cantonese here -- to alleviate the awkwardness and discomfort. Good on him for taking control of the situation. 👏👏👏🙂👍

Watched most of his film. He's a hell of an actor! Sometimes I'll turn off the sound and subtitles when watching his films for the first time. And see the story through his excellent acting and facial expressions. And be pretty close to the whole story. That's how good he is! Great Actor!

My view is he is more shining and bright than the main actor. I find him so charming in the movie and I felt so sad that he lost his wife in the movie. The way he expressed his love made me forget he is a bad guy in the movie. He is really amazing.

Tony Leung is the "Al Pacino of Asia". He is so versatile. From my observations of his many interviews, and from honest opnions of him by his fellow peers and celebrities, I can say Tony is a very very humble, nice, very sincere man in real life. There was 1 interview with Leslie, who said while they merriy played mahjong (leslie, carina...etc), Tony just cooly calmly walked into the room and asked him to taste his specially brewed Chinese tea. Tony in his own zen world : calm , sincere , being himself and etc. (I guess many will just PR talk a lot) even this imterview, he seems so humble, so sincere. He deeply thought about the questions asked, and answered them from his heart. I used to think Chow Yun Fat was good actor, but in recent years I thought Tony is much better : more versatile. Chow YF's strength is his big brother charisma.
