Inoue Sensei has lovely movement and a very nice way of explaining himself.
Thanks Jesse. As always yet another masterpiece clip from you... Keep the good work on
Thanks. I liked how he taught it and how he demonstrated it. Thanks again.
Love THIS Instructor
Very useful post - thank you Jesse!
Thank you.
thank you for this video
It used to be taught to push off with the back or front leg when moving (kicking). It is now known that it is better to pull the leg into the direction you want it to go. Pushing puts you off balance and it adds to the time it takes to move.
thanks Jesse
If karate were explain like this in yrar 1979 when i was a kid definitely i will choose Karate as a Path.. great teaching of Soke Inoue
These videos make me so happy, I got to train with him as a little girl (this is my husbands TH-cam account) and it really made me love physiology and martial arts.
I liked the he kept his weight 'underside' in other words by correct movement of the Hip allied to the Knee allowed him to keep his Body low and to riposte. The incorrect example of foot movement he showed, demonstrated the Body rising up to achieve stepping. This broke contact with the ground and is inherently weaker than the correct version with the lowered Body and weight.
At least that's what I think I saw. Happy to take correction.
