As a former mechanic in Nascar, we never built up the oil pressure like that nor was there a switch for the oil probe. That was all done separately. We simply primed the engine using a drill to turn the oil pump manually until we got operating pressure then we prime the engine with some fuel. Make sure the timing was set 34° retarded to make it easier for the dodge engines to start plus it added sent a stronger spark to the plugs during start up. Master switch, ignition switch then START!

Aah, they actually pull the belt off of the dry sump oil pump and prime the engine with oil so it immediately has oil pressure as soon as you hit the starter to reduce wear on the engine because otherwise the engine runs for a few revolutions with no oil pressure.

It's litterally just a regular racing starter that you get off of day motor sports or speedway motors or any circle track parts supplier nust a mini starter its called. They are ablut 200 bucks new I get most of my asphalt latemodel circle track parts that are compatable between latemodels and nascars from 2nd chanceraceparts thwy getall the pldnew larts from nascar teams so us local guys can get high quality parts for cheap like starters shocks for big spring cars, gauges, ig ition boxes and distributors and carbs which in surprised they stillhave carbs since nascar went to efi years ago
