this song is amazing. this dude has been at it a while, glad to see him getting recognition he deserves.
It really is. It’s got all the things. I wonder what he was doing or what he thought when he was first hit with that melody on the chorus. How can you not hear that for the first time and go, fuck yeah that’s the stuff.
This song hits every emotion I have ever had in my entire life. Not sure how he did that, but thank you. One of the only songs that makes me cry. Epic forever will be classic.
He uses the chugging baseline and brass for high energy, the pop guitar riffs make people feel happy, the chorus vocals are grungy to get aggression across, he uses "I'm gonna leave it all out there" for empowerment, and the rest of the vocals bring it down into a sincere/reflective/sadder tone. It's genius, really.

Great bands like this come along and nobody hears them because radio stations are only interested in attracting the youth who don't know what to listen to, this is great music.

That way they can suggest some of the best darn freakin musicians who leave it ALL OUT THERE, LMCFAO.. Yes, TH-cam suggested Nathaniel bout 2yrs ago, otherwise I'd be left all out there to dry..They also have suggested a lot of older bands archived songs' as well as the newer bands I would never hear bout, out here under Mt. Boothillmisery...

I love this song, but honestly I think this live performance is better than what I hear on radio. There's some subtle differences in the production of Nathaniel's voice that aren't present when performed live that make the lyrics a little clearer and some of the vocal inflection feel a bit warmer. It's subtle differences, but man this was stellar.
The first time I saw them opening for Robert Plant, Sept 2019 in Philly! They are awesome! New favorite band, new favorite song!

Thanks to Jo Whiley on bbc2 radio I've played this 100 times not heard of the Nathaniel Rateliff & his 'night sweats' before now but will stay tuned to them from now on
It ain't Jo Whiley mate, they play the Night Sweats because of Bobby Traffic, she literally begs them everyday to play some, it's her favorite band. If anyone on Radio2 plays them its because they owe Bobby a favour and that's what she cashes in, making the nation listen to Nathaniel Rateliff, what a selfless woman Bobby Traffic is.
I don't care what this song means to anyone else because today just for a minute it is my world. this is that kind of song. a true gift. thank you.

I discovered Nathaniel and the night sweats a few years ago, in my opinion they are the best live band around, they all seem to enjoy what there doing 🤪
Wow one hell of a performance. Can barely tell it from the album version. Surprised it's played on a Telecaster. I thought for sure that would be a Gretsch or some other hollow-body.
