"GOT DAYUM" I love this band! My wife has put me on a "Nathaniel Rateliff" allowance because I have it on ALL THE TIME. We are limited to an hour after work because I literally would have him on 24x7.
I just saw these guys at Comerica park along with Chris Stapleton. I had never heard of them before but was so impressed with there sound. The Horns and that powerful voice rocked the stadium. I'm a new fan now...
Yep. Heard them for the first time ever 3 months ago by following a link to Spotify on someone's Instagram story and been humming their songs ever since - can't get enough
@@carrieb5711 100% agree. Watered down trash is what everyone is used to hearing nowadays. The only real music is stuff like this and country from real artists.
Years ago I went to Nashville to see the 50th anniversary of The Weight. It was an amazing all star cast paying tribute to The Band. Nathaniel Rateliff came out and sang Caravan and I was blown away! I had to find out who this guy was! So I hit you tube and loved everything I heard. Then I found SOB and I was hooked. This is the most underrated band in history.
63 thumbs down votes can only mean that 63 people specifically came here just to click on that button. There is NO WAY that a fan of the band doesn't like this. They amazingly sound true to their album. It's incredible.
I got to ride the train from Amsterdam to Rotterdam with them after seeing back to back shows. I was more starstruck than meeting Don Mattingly at age 9...
I revisit this performance from time to time to see the wealth of talent doing what they do best. Damn these boys are good. I also like to keep an eye on Richard Swift. He was a prodigy and dearly missed
This is such a great album. I love everything Nathaniel Rateliff has ever done, but this is a particular favorite. Great performance! Great band. I love you guys. ❤️
Just going to say my daughter is a huge fan and has been for a little over a year now. Might not seem like a big deal except when I add she’s 14 months old. She is definitely one of their younger fans but a big one none the less! We have nightsweat dance parties every day multiple times a day
Don't you guys want to come to Seoul for a gig? I instantly fell in love with your music after listening to 'Every Spring Till'! What inspiring brass and vocals you have!!! :)
So glad to have new Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats album. Though I don't think it's as good as the last, it is still really good and I'm so glad to hear some new material from the guys.
Nathaniel Rateliff is so top calibre... you need an A-one interviewer, c'mon now. Lovely, gracious, talented guy + best opportunitey to ask deep questions... missed opportunity! Saw NRNS yesterday @ burnabybluesfest next year!
What great, cool guys. It's funny - I was never a big fan of 'S.O.B' either, always preferred 'I Need Never Get Old' and 'Howling at Nothing', and now I'm hooked on 'You Worry Me'.
Listen to 'Shake'.. especially the last 4-5 minutes, best instrumental in 30 years!! Great musicians! The organ guy is like Ray Manzerak of the DOORS, who was a genius!! Nathaniel guitar playing is like Jimmy Page and Erik Clapton together! Besides his voice! Awesome band!!
His voice reminds me of Sam 'Lightnin' Hopkins. Sad, soulful, little creaky. Top comment is exactly correct, we have no less than a modern-day Burl Ives with early Zep with horns as the band. Like if antique furniture could sing. Good stuff, dudes
Johnathon Walraven Scott Frock on trumpet.....he is the best horn player I know personally....nicest guy u ever met, love the feel of the whole sound of this band, that man can sing......
In April of this year, Rolling Stone magazine did an article on "Nathaniel Rateliff's Long Shot and the Night Sweats" and the reviewer David Fricke said that when the band was on Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show that Paul McCartney called him the day after the show and asked "Who was that guy? He was fantastic!" How much would you swoon if a Beatle liked your singing and playing? What a great endorsement. Myself, meh. What do you guys think?
I can’t get enough of this man and his band.
"GOT DAYUM" I love this band! My wife has put me on a "Nathaniel Rateliff" allowance because I have it on ALL THE TIME. We are limited to an hour after work because I literally would have him on 24x7.
Divorce her
What wife?
@@stephaniehall7765 she puts up with a lot already
Hahahaha good husband to honor her wishes … I can’t say I’d be as good a wife if that were ask of me 😊
That *is* the advantage of being single... LOL! 🤣😂🤣
I just saw these guys at Comerica park along with Chris Stapleton. I had never heard of them before but was so impressed with there sound. The Horns and that powerful voice rocked the stadium. I'm a new fan now...
Just hearing this now? Such an underrated band. So much talent, and an explosion of excitement. Only 2,600 likes??
Yep. Heard them for the first time ever 3 months ago by following a link to Spotify on someone's Instagram story and been humming their songs ever since - can't get enough
It's because they usual instruments and write their own not want to be a gangster lyrics. Nobody under the age of 40 is accustomed to hearing that
A chance to see them live and an indoor venue and they put on a very good show and sound just as good live as they do recorded
@@carrieb5711 100% agree. Watered down trash is what everyone is used to hearing nowadays. The only real music is stuff like this and country from real artists.
I've already shared this at least twice on facebook..... I just want to rub peoples' faces in it till they agree with me how great this band is.

Cheers and love to New Mexico from this Washingtonian! So fitting to have such great tracks produced in such a great state.
Saw them live last night at Hammersmith Apollo. My gosh how they own the stage and the music sounds so FAT.
From start to finish, Simply Superb! I've viewed this video a number of times, and I'm sure I will many more!
LOVE ME some NR and the night sweats…one of the BEST live bands out there ..!!!!
Tearing at the Seams is my first exposure to this amazing group. From beginning to end is awesome. Working with Stax Records! I’m sold!
Digging the new album, so glad KEXP does these performances. A Little Honey has quickly become my new favorite song...
My great grandfather's sister married a Ratliff and moved to northeast Texas. Howdy!
Aahhh.......like a breath of fresh air Man...superb Artists...keep on keepin’ on ‘cause it makes us wanna dance.....!!

Resonated deep in my musical journey of life!!

There's a simmering energy from these musicians reminding me of early Springsteen. Keep going!

I absolutely love this band. I found them on Pandora while listening to my Marcus King Band station.
They are such a tight band, got their albums and love playing them on vinyl

Love it all!! 💜
So glad to have new Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats album. Though I don't think it's as good as the last, it is still really good and I'm so glad to hear some new material from the guys.
I think its better its different songs will stick with time trust me
It's sound expansion.
You should be worried if it sounds just like the last album, thankfully it does not.
It sounds good !
That was amazing. Great interview of a great band.
Happy that my good taste in musik makes me discovered this artist :D Its fooking tasty!

A Little Honey really something special. 🍯
Great interview and performance.
Nathaniel Rateliff is so top calibre... you need an A-one interviewer, c'mon now.
Lovely, gracious, talented guy + best opportunitey to ask deep questions... missed opportunity!
Saw NRNS yesterday @ burnabybluesfest next
year!
Reminds me of the Band!!!
Which band? Hehe just kidding woof woof
That's what's so cool, that it's modern, not just a tired old imitation. Authentic good stuff all around. These guys are special.
The first song has the bass line of Up on Cripple Creek and the Horns/Keys of Don't Do It, almost note for note
The honey song is straight up Band.
GREAT STUFF these guys rock :)
i have to play with these guys one day.
Their lyrics and delivery is so sad but most of the music; rythems, tempos, and melody are so upbeat.
What great, cool guys. It's funny - I was never a big fan of 'S.O.B' either, always preferred 'I Need Never Get Old' and 'Howling at Nothing', and now I'm hooked on 'You Worry Me'.

Thanks for the post, I dont know him. Nice discovery
Check out their last album dude.
I wanna play with these guys!
I hope to see Wes back with the Night Sweats soon, but the horn section hasn't seemed to have lost a step!
Johnathon Walraven Scott Frock on trumpet.....he is the best horn player I know personally....nicest guy u ever met, love the feel of the whole sound of this band, that man can sing......
Does anybody else hear "Don't Do It" by the Band when they open with Shoe Boot?
Listen to SOB into Shape I'm In live and try to tell me these guys are not the band reincarnated, just better...
'You Worry Me', my goodness...
This is great! Thank you so much for it.
I hope to god your sound engineer is paid damn well.
Please tell me when you'll be near Detroit!
Right on
check out "Hey Momma" and S.O.B, these guys have fun making music and it shows.
