I bought a 2019 1L top of the range SE-L Skoda Fabia, 110bhp DSG, four years ago for £14k with low miles, and it’s still only just over 20k miles, and I keep it immaculate and wanting for nothing. Least depreciating car I ever had, if I’ve lost over £4k as a part ex I’d be astonished.
I bought a 2006 Lancer in 2014 for £2k. If I sold it now I'd be astonished if I'd lost more than £500, and all that is down to the dings I've put in it.
My friend just p/ex his skoda fabia estate 1.4 auto 2006 90k miles, sunroof, cruise and heated seats for £200. I tried to tell him to sell privately but he didn’t want the “hassle”. Drove perfectly. Was a lovely specced car. Slow as hell and not to good on fuel
Agree More and more are passing just on automatic licence. Last week sold a Vauxhall zafira auto with 12 months mot for £850. Mechanical ok but rest was a disaster. Had it been manual I’d been lucky to have got £500 for its condition
£5995 for a 12 year old car that probs went for about £11k brand new well over a decade ago, yes low mileage but parts still rust and wear out no matter what mileage, that gearbox is an automated manual always cause problems and feels that bad when driving it always feels broken anyway, absolute madness, yes the depreciation hasn’t happened yet but it certainly will to person who buys this heap, there loads of new autos being sold, much more than manuals if you look at the stats for new cars sold, so the next few years price parity to manuals will more than likely happen once they all hit the 2nd hand market and then who’s going to want a ancient car with a terrible semi auto gearbox that feels broken even if it’s not… no one! Not for anywhere near that price anyway. Well done lads and keep making hay while the sun shines, just feel sorry for whoever buys this junk. well there’s a sucker born every minute
Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment Callum. Unfortunately we don’t set the market prices & we work from the Autotrader recommended retails values. It’s supply & demand & the shortage in small auto’s is what dictates the price👍
Do you guys know the SR fellas (Chris & Rob) with being from Kent and in the motor trade then? I'm sure in a past video you used the same tyre place as they do, I could be wrong 😂. Always enjoy your vids lads 👍
Unique example. Jolly well done chaps as one who is originally from Tunbridge Wells might say. Ps re auto licences. Why spend all that money to drive only a fraction of cars on the road? Not getting it.
Thanks Jonathan, lovely part of the county is Tunbridge wells👌 Does seem strange why you would limit yourself to an auto car but maybe some people just find it easier to pass in an auto🤷♂️
It’s confusing though because if you pass your test in an auto you can only drive an auto and manual you can drive both but most cars now are semi auto anyway?? Small engine petrols will be the same I have a 07 plate Aygo £230 insurance 1yr and£20 tax year 50mpg.

Spray behind the wheel hubs black just makes them look so much better I respect the hustle thoygh lads doing well !!

We usually would if the trims are quite open, but in this instance they cover fairly well.
Thanks for watching👍

£100 for an oil change😢😢😢😢. Filter £6 and £25 for oil
go to national tyres for an oil change, much less to pay,
