I felt the same way, once u start using it more often, you build a better see how to hit, and predict where and when the bullet will hit. It literally started working for me the other day
It's all about practice... but if you have issues with aiming perfectly, go for a different build... use a hotshot build and select determined/headhunter. You just have to land the first headshot, best would be looking for a red or purple enemy (without a helmet). Land that one shot, then even body shots count as headshots and enemies just pop easily. You can take on heroic activities with all directives on and take on everything that comes up. You can pop 1 war robot with one shot, chugas with 1-2 shots if done perfectly... i'm also running bloodsucker on my build and get so much bonus armor that i don't even need many armor cores... I'm just using one to have a base armor of about 1.1Mill.
Have you tried running ninja backpack, 3p hotshot, 1p habsburg and 1p Araldis, that would give you extra head shot damage + 30% MM damage rather than 20, or 2p hotshot 1p habsburg 1p araldis and perfect headhunter, or providance to see where you start off with that out of the gate hitting
I’ve been playing around, specially in the dz with yaahl, i can’t match the damage of a “traditional” build with the ninja backpack version even if on paper it looks great, like 2 hotshot, 1 Habsburg, 1 airaldi etc. Been using the usual glass canon vigilance combo. Either I’m doing something wrong with the ninja backpack version or it’s not as strong.
After 1 elite headshot kill, you can do that at the range with a Mantis (DMGttOoC 10 expertise), but with Named targets. 2 piece hotshot, 2 piece aces and eights, 1 piece habsburg, ninja backpack, head hunter on chest, headshot damage attribute/mods anywhere I can, everything maxed. Set target to elite, headshot kill, switch target to named; stats should show 19, 789,226 damage, which is how much you should need to 1 shot the named target.
@@marcusvinicius917 simply headshot/MR damage stack, with no conditions. Straight up headshot damage in my build as described is 341% as per stats. Mantis 1.2M per round; all weapon damage bonus 110%, 95% MR damage bonus. That's before Head Hunter kicks in. I guess the bonus the 4th piece of Hotshot, after enough consecutive head shots, could yield more damage, but that'd be a lot of consecutive headshots, and if you miss one, you are back to square 1.
Not anymore, both the Model 700 bolt action, and the SR-1 out damage it now comes third on the list. The SR-1 specifically has the best handling, accuracy and range. The extra headshot damage on the white death is no longer making the difference from PTS20 changes in increase damages to those 2 MMR's mentioned.
The only problem with shooting range testing is your behind you buff is always active. Out in the open world you will more often than not lose that buff. I use 4pc hot shot either backpack and sawyers knees. Sit in cover and wait a couple seconds and I one shot all heroic enemies even in a group of 4 (obviously enemies with helmets stop the one shots but 2 shot easy to kill them). The backpack allows you to miss one shot but keep the headshot and reload buff. Behind you IMO is really not great after you get the first kill.
Nah you still need those headshots. Determined is too powerful, you can miss shots and the talent is still active, plus when active you basically forget to aim for the head. I still suggest White Death no scope, Ninja Backpack, 3 pieces Hotshot (you get at consecutive shots, above all, armor and "no reload"), Habsburg and Perfect Headhunter Chest (but you could probably play around here thanks also to the Ninja backpack second gear set bonus unlock). All reds with headshots and weapon handling (I actually put magazine size on the White Death for that extra bullet). Man I hit for 52 to 76M with the 1886 With determine and Headhunter and Vigilance with Headshot damage on everything.i used the punch drunk mask but I hit harder with 3 pieces of providence.
If you're going to stack anything over 15 expertise on your MMR, you may as well leave the blue core on your Palisades. Like Tux said, the Model 700 will still have enough power, and in an all red build that's stacking that much extra MMR and HDSHT damage, that additional 15% from expertise is hardly a drop in the bucket. But that extra armor return from Palisades and added protection from enemy snipers 1-shotting you is noticeable. Plus farming a Palisades chest or backpack with the right talents and attributes will be easier. Cheers!
I'm at 200% headshot with 2 hapsbug, 2 airaldi and 2 Providence, with headhunter. I get a 2mil headshot out of my 700 and in 3 kills it's 14, so it's easy to recover if i lose momentum. For emergencies it's a frenzied LMG to kill armor, then shotgun and smg, because ammo hoarder is fun but it's a bitch. I don't know what to do, I JUST hit level 40 and have just been collecting bounties and equipment to fill out my upgrade, talent and material libraries until i know where to use them
Maybe I missed it, but why palisades, verses Araldis (10% MMR DMG), or Providence (15% headshot) dmg, or Chainkiller chest piece? That armor on kill from Pallisades seems a waste
Been trying out sniper on ps5, it’s certainly challenging, not easy for head shots ive been using concussion on the back back with chain killer, once u get the first kill the rest is pretty simple., ive also got 5 blues cores and one red, hit hard enough for the head kills, its not easy but its fun.
Yeah it would. Also Determined is just better for solo play by default. Once your decoy runs out, the entire weapon talent Behind You is useless for the next 25-ish seconds, which we can all agree is a hell lot of time in, say, legendary content. Also Determined headshots no matter where you hit, so even if you miss a head by accident, you still pull guaranteed headshot damage, and if it is a kill hit, it automatically refreshes. Determined aslo ignores any and all forms of shields. Rushers? Yeah, fk 'em. Riker snipers? Fk 'em. With determined, if you meet heavy armour NPC (Tanks, LMG gunners), you usually two tap them, forst shot breaks their armour, second hit kills. EDIT: If you wanna run Model 700 instead of WD, you can, just run Determined on it. Totally agree on the "rebalance patch" and it's overall kind of meh-ness. It wasn't awful, but the devs knew where the top DMG numbers were before they released it and kept things in line with that. There are just fewer broken/pointless pieces left down below the upper tier stuff now. After I cleared the new reward track, I took a break from Div 2 and started Div 1, which I had never run before. It's really good. The immersion feels more like Ghost Recon: Wildlands vs Breakpoint. And so far, through lvl 30, it's been a snipe fest basically the whole way - M44 for the win. There's a lot of things in Div 1 that I find more appealing than in Div 2. And a lot of things in Div 2 that seem a bit too cut and paste as a result of seeing the first version. Seeing the changes from D1 to D2 gives me some concern for where D3 may be headed - more casino games, less RPG. There's more than a couple new looter shooters coming out this year that I'm keeping my eye on. Maybe some competition will put Ubi back on the track of quality entertainment and audience awareness vs mindless grinding and toxic infighting.
The biggest problem with Sniper builds isn't that you need to find some secret formula to 1-shot content, it's that getting headshots is difficult/inconsistent. Sure, your build looks good on paper. Problem is, it does nothing special. Hotshot - Headhunter - Determination builds do this exact same thing, and in some situations it does it much better. It has slightly better sustain in most cases, you practically never have to worry about reloading, and you can kill most content in the game in 1 shot. I did a 4-man Legendary mission the other day and i was just sitting behind cover 1-shotting everything. Yes, the build can be a bit tricky to get rolling sometimes. But once it starts, it's a runaway train. The best part of it being i don't have to peak my head out of cover for more than a second to kill something. I don't need to worry where i am shooting someone. As long as i hit them, they will die. Even if i shoot their toes off. With a non-Determination/Headhunter build, you'll find that you're often going to need to peak out long enough to either take a few shots (and lose your Vigilance buff), or just straight up die. Headhunter is also pretty much essential for any content that isn't solo. In group content you want to 1-shot. Taking off half, or even a third, of an enemy's HP bar is not enough when you're competing with setups like Striker that will melt through an enemy at the same pace as it takes you to fire off 3 shots. I get what you're trying to do. Ive spent the better part of this week trying to come up with a Sniper build that doesn't have to rely on Hotshot/Headhunter/Determination, and sadly after doing 1 or 2 control points i always come to the same realization: The Hotshot build does it better. You say Hotshot requires perfection but then you present a build that revolves around headshots, which is just one step below that.
snipers are headshots, yes. And of course our goal is for 100% shots on target, which is just not realistic. I'm happy with 50% shots on target. Miss one, land one. But shots in the air are not considered misses by this build and you retain your buff, so there is no harm with missing. BUT with Hotshot you would lose your buff.
Still the Man👍
I'm new to Division 2, can someone tell me what the blue gear pieces are? I only get the green ones.
pretty sure he just has color blind mode on. They are the same.
Just colour blind mode to change colours
True glass cannon
How to get the backpack
Farm Countdown mode with your targeted loot of choosing. Getting it is going to be hard though, Habsburg comes with a default blue core.
What about Brutus or Scalpel?
Did a scalpel build a few weeks back. Pretty darn cool. Brutus doesn’t have much of a place. But the m700 is great.
so consensus is m700>Scalpel>Brutus?@@TuxedoBandido
Concussion is wayyy better than
M700 is better !! ✌️🤟💯
Garbage no armor all reds . Sawyer knees . 3 reds 4 blues better
The hot shot build is better it one shots bosses with out the 15 expertise levels on your weapon
Where do you find the hot shot build ?
Yep... If you payed for the Dlc and managed to grind half your life away to get the materials and the gear to actually build it... Ridiculous how the endgame is locked behind a paywall... All that being said the video is awesome and the build is fantastic !!! 🤙💪👏👏👏
Dude. Game is like 7 years old. If u don’t have 20$ in 7 years saved up u need Jesus.
@@ryanschafran7906 Maybe i need Jesus but what you need is learn how to read... 🤣
@@thebee2685 But you wrote "Ridiculous how the endgame is locked behind a paywall". His comment was kind of valid. 😉
@@litenisola Isnt it ridiculous ? Even more ridiculous is that some people dont realize that some kids or adults cant afford a 30€ Dlc because they got to eat and pay their bills first...
@@thebee2685 So.. you are saying that an expansion that cost money, is a paywall? Odd.
