Hi Sammy, Thanks for your great footage of the Garfield and Fishkill shows. As usual your camera work is stellar. I couldn’t believe that showcase of Venezuelan cards! That might have been Brian Fish’s table. Have a relaxing evening and thanks again, Peter
Hi Sammy. Love all your pickups, specially your new Venezuelan Seaver. Those 4 O-Pee-Chee cards look super sharp. I really enjoy watching your show footage, love seeing vintage baseball. Thanks for sharing my friend, talk soon pal.
Great video as always. Regarding the Venezuelan Seaver, what a nice card. Coincidentally I just purchased two 1966 Venezuelan’s today, but these have the paper loss and back damage that you spoke of. Now for my fatherly advice, don’t sell your graded 1968 Seaver. I like to look at the two cards together, and as you said you can plainly see the difference. Your original Seaver is so sharp and vibrant. Seaver is one of your favorite players to collect, and I think you would regret selling it someday. Please think about it a little more before you let it go.
How amazing it is, you can hang out and spend time with Mookie. All I have, is my cat and dog at home, but they ignore me. I like the difference in contrast between your show tours and Graig's. I can still tell it, was loud in there but, only so much you can do about the noise. Still was able to focus on the different vendors cards. Focus isn't a word ADHD people can say or do often. Some solid pick ups. I like the Seaver Venny. I have the Thurman Munson too, but the 1977 Topps Cloth Stickers one. And, also the 1959 Topps Sandy Koufax. Great card and set; incredible design, too. Yes. Keep the Top 5 cards for, under $100. It's a good and helpful concept. Even if you choose to do it every other week. Would be interested in 1975 Topps from the 70's. 1964 Topps, though it doesn't have to be. As mentioned, one of my all-time favorites from the 1950's. The 1959 Topps. Glad you had a successful and fun time at the show.
What a phenomenal card! You hardly ever see vennies in VG, yet alone upper mid-grade. Congratulations on a great addition to the Seaver PC! Also love the ‘77 OPC. I collect the ‘77 OPC photo variations as a supplement to my Topps set. There are some really interesting ones. ‘77 OPC almost serves as a de facto “traded” set, since it was released later in the season with more up-to-date photos of some players. Btw nice somewhat Mangini-like sustain when you revealed the ‘59 Koufax 😂 I feel like you might’ve unintentionally channeled him for a moment there.
I PC O-Pee-Chee (70s, 80s) of HOF pitches (Ryan, Seaver, Palmer, Carlton, etc). Much more rare than the Tops stuff. Interested in almost everything you have posted. Also, fantastic pickup on that Ven Topps 68 Seaver. Super rare!
I was really stoked when my best Bob Uecker Venezuelan came back a PSA 4 in my first ever submission. Slowly searching for eddie mathews Venezuelan at the righr price . Holy crap a 5.5 Venezuelan Seaver. I think you should keep your othher seaver
Hey, just a heads up.. Don't know your price range but there are several 1962 and 1965 Eddie Mathews Vennys on COMC. Five 1962's and four 1964's, all poor to fair condition but currently on sale. There were a few 1968's a couple days ago but every copy sold after all the Venezuelan talk on TH-cam between this and the live stream lately I imagine.
I had fun chasing down my Venezuelans. A couple of yrs ago I completed the Redsox Venezuelan run. It was challenging. Have now completed the Redsox run for Topps, OPC and Venezuelan
Lots of Venezuelans on COMC right now, folks. Even the non-MLB ones including an Aparicio and 1967 pre-RCs of Concepcion and Bobby Cox. One guy "vennysportscards" (appropriately...) even has a sale going right now. The ones on my want list are disappearing quickly. Yaz, Don Sutton, Jim Palmer, Cloninger, Boog, Lolich, Piniella, etc RCs and a really nice Fergie. May be worth checking out. Mostly low grade though.
That’s really good to know. I’m not as big of a Venezuelan Collector, but it’s such a cool thing to know that other versions of cards exist outside the traditional stuff that we have in the United States.
Awesome Seavers. I agree you should keep both Seavers and maybe even add a 1968-69 Milton Bradley and O-Pee-Chee for the Vintage "rainbow". Would be sweet to see you have all 4 together! Also, how much for the 1977 O-Pee-Chees? Especially interested in the Nolan Ryan and Brett, but possibly all. About to grade a 1977 OPC Ryan myself next month so I would just tag it along. Thank you, sir!
What a great pick-up, congrats to you , Why can't dealer all put prices on there cards ,sometimes at show when I see dealers with no prices on there cards and there talking and talking to someone I wind up waking away . Anyways thanks for sharing
My understanding is that the Venezuelan cards will have less glossy front of the card. The back of the card could be a lot darker. Truthfully, it’s probably better to buy one that is graded if you’re not completely sure.
Awesome Seaver !
Sweet pickup! That Seaver is in terrific shape.
Great video Sammy! Thanks for sharing
Hi Sammy. Congrats on the pickups. I love the Ryan and the Seaver cards. I enjoyed watching the footage from both shows. Thank you for sharing.
Congrats on the pickup and thank you for the show footage

To answer your question…YES I enjoyed the footage AGAIN! Thanks.
👍
Awesome pick up Sammy! Congrats my friend.
Great stuff, Sammy.

I’ll give it some more thought. You might be right with keeping the 68 Topps Seaver

Thank you for the great feedback Andrew. It is incredibly helpful and encouraging.
@@SammyThunder As you are to me and my comments. Most of the time my comments, just seem to annoy.
But, I get it. I am the problem. Maybe.
Super Seaver and super fun to see that deal go down Sammy!
Thanks for the support and encouragement. Also, thank you for offsetting the $25. 😎

Thanks! If I did channel Mangini, it was unintentional
Great inventory at the show. What a great lookin V Seaver! Those 77s are sharp as can be! Great pick ups!
Thank you, Dirk.
The Venezuelan Seaver and Mathewson cards are both great pickups! Congrats on both! Great inventory additions as well!
Thanks, Rick! I’ve been keeping my eye on the Venezuelan Seaver for a little bit

Man, seeing that footage and great looking ungraded adds just makes me more excited for Cleveland …lol
It’s right around the corner friend
Great rundown, I just wish my area had the vintage dealers similar to the ones you shared. Thanks
What area of the country are you in?
@@SammyThunder eastern iowa

When you say that you completed the Red Sox Venezuelan run did you buy a Venezuelan card for every Red Sox player and for each year?
Yes. Every Venezuelan Redsox card that was produced.
That’s dedication
A fun chase. Took a few yrs
Great show footage as always Sammy! I can’t believe a Venezuelan card survived 56 years in that condition!
Crazy, right?

I agree with you. It is incredibly helpful to be able to evaluate the prices.
I have about a thousand cards mostly baseball and football would you like to see some of them
Thanks for the video and tour of the shows. Nice pickups. I like your wall display at the home base; is that a show case that you’ve modified?
Yes, I kept the rails on the display that I have
Soak that Yount in some Kurt’s juice …might be a PSA 8?
You’re tripping!
I said Sammy not Tammy All right want some let me know
Sammy one question on Venezuelan cards how do you tell I seen some on ebay and backs say printed in USA? And listed as Venezuelan ?
My understanding is that the Venezuelan cards will have less glossy front of the card. The back of the card could be a lot darker. Truthfully, it’s probably better to buy one that is graded if you’re not completely sure.
