just btw, this is .. partly because it's down a step, and then in double drop D.. so the top (lowest) and bottom string is down two whole steps from where a normal guitar would be .. and the rest are down a step .. giving it a deep surreal tone .. and partly just because Neil is a genius
All of these statements are incorrect. The low E is tuned down to A (an octave below the A on a standard guitar) as opposed to the original tuning of this song, which has a low C. Later in his life he would tune to this low A tuning. I play Neil's songs in a full cover setlist, I have figured his tunings out.
Should be a million views. One of the great songs of my lifetime.
Beautiful singing to a beautiful song.
Just when I thought this couldn’t be done any better after hearing the original about 40 years ago
No words to describe ...
One of my favourite songs of all time!
I WILL..... Never..... Stop loving your thoughts brother!!!
Absolutely amazing
Thank you!!! If you dont mind, I will add it to my play list!!! :D
has to be the heaviest acoustic guitar sound I've ever heard

nezZario Thanks! This is my favorite version of this song that I’ve heard to date. Double drop D, I need to try that.
@@nezZario this is a step lower than in the 70s, so C standard with Bb on bottom and top.. ye really heavy
he adjusts it depending on his voice tune

Thanks for posting. This really catches Neil's emotions in His facial features as He's singing.
sweet version of a great song
thank you
My fav
He's tuned down 2 steps and double drop Bb on his guitar.
It's 4 steps down except the first and last string, down 6 steps
DID NOT KNOW NEIL YOUNG WROTE THIS SONG.
Damn, playing it in standard guitar tuning lowered 2 steps down, usually he does this song in GCGFAC tuning...
Come on down to the river of sight
And you will really understand....
How de-tuned is that old Martin guitar?! Leave it to Uncle Neil. Badass
He usually does this song in CGCFAC tuning instead of this 2 steps down standard tuning. "Tell me why" is another song done the same way.
Be safe
What year is this?
Great 👍 👌
ThE!!!!!!
It's not so easy to "find someone who's turning". OKAY?
Love the song. Delete all the attempts at making the video appear old. Just a distraction.
Whats up with all the lines flickering in the video?
This was back in 1973
Or someone added a filter to create the effect.
It wasn't from back in 73. It's a filter.
It's from 1992. The original is on YT, without the filter.
One look at middle aged Neil here will tell you this ain't 1973.
😅
