    Love your choices! I will have to revisit their new patterns. I wasn’t too impressed with the new patterns at first glance 🤷‍♀️. I’m still working on my dresses😅 as you know. Can’t wait to see what you sew up next 😍

      Monica some places like Jcrew, Talbots and Ann Taylor use the same styles they just use different fabrics. Crazy right?! But they do the exact same stuff every season and they might throw in a new dress every so often and that’s it. Looking forward to Vogue’s new spring collection to see what comes up. I know that Julio Cesar has a beautiful dress planned and I already can’t wait to get my hands on it.

    Would love, love, love a tutorial on the S9702! I picked it up and have considered it an aspirational project 😂
    Your tutorial on the Simplicity keyhole top was indispensable for completing that blouse and you are just soo easy to follow along!

      I don’t quite know what to sew next to tell you the truth. I want to make all the things but first. i have to get thru the last sew along in my list for Minerva. I’m almost there. S9702 would be a nice sew along to do. I think I have the fabric for it too.

    I grabbed a few new Winter Simplicity patterns and a few older ones. I also picked up some New Look patterns. I never know when JoAnn has them on sale. But thanks for sharing.

      New look are usually on sale at the same time as Simplicity but they usually don’t advertise it. If they aren’t they also outline it with a bit “new look and burda not included during the simplicity sales

      @@MassonLifestyle The pattern was easy to follow and the skirt came out great. Since it was faux leather, I left the hem raw, which eliminated a step

    I bought two patterns to sew for my 2-year-old granddaughter, an older one, S8806, because she needs summer nightgowns and a newer one, S9661, because I thought it was so cute with the matching doll patterns. For myself, I was thinking about spring and summer tops and dresses so I got S9694 (it may be a new one). I'm planning to make the cap sleeve view in a cotton lawn that I just ordered. Also picked up S9274, S8912, and an oldie, S3971, to make summer pajamas with shorts and short sleeves. Thanks, Alex!

    I'm having the opposite problem. Winter never really arrived here, and the flowers and trees are blooming a full two months early. I have winter projects yet to finish!

    I love your videos. Can you please share some patterns for beginners that are for chiffon or other slippery fabric. If you could do a video, that would be amazing

    • @MassonLifestyle
      @MassonLifestyle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vani, what are you calling slippery fabrics? Is that chiffon? Georgette? Satin? Peachskin? O are you talking about something such as viscose challis? If you are a beginner for now I would suggest you start with some viscose challis as your "slippery fabric". Once you feel comfortable move on to Crepe fabric. In time you will be able to control something that is more slippery such as a double georgette, silk or chiffon. The way the seam allowance is finished could be French seams which is another way to finish your seams, you may also have to use an interfacing that needs to be sewn in, so it takes some skill and lots of patience. If you are ready to move one to something else from cotton lawn, linen... then for sure try Viscose fabrics, then try Crepe fabric, then try georgette. One thing you could do is S9702 in chiffon because it has gathers but keep in mind you will have to wear a slip under it because it will be too sheer. Another option is to try Pattern Review and look for reviews using chiffon... lots of patterns will come up.

      @@MassonLifestyle very good advice. Thanks so much. Do you have any good advice for getting viscose or rayon fabrics at reasonable prices? I don't see much selection at Joanne or hobby lobby

      @@VivaSewStyle neither of those will have good Viscose / Rayon / Challis. Try FabricMart, Minerva, Style Maker Fabrics, Raspberry Creek Fabrics and Stone Mountain & Daughter, Harts Fabric or even Gather Here. Sign up for their newsletter and you will hear about new fabrics at least once a week. Some offer a discount for signing up to their newsletter. Eventually you will find some favorites.
