After received the Evolve-R the whole process took 10 days (due to time zone diff, and weekend)
it was easy to remap by myself
Read Code > EMail to E > Receive unlock Stock > Trial confirm > Receive Tuned File > flash ECU & write Code > Finish, no any error code once I flash in the tuned file
I used RaceChip gts before, and after remap, i can feel so much different , my car get power from gear 1 (stock or RC feel the power from Gear 3)
and it's so smooth also turbo lag reduce
if you also upgrade the exhaust to JCW Pro, the sound is up almost double as well.

Where are you people driving? At the last time I looked the speed limit in the UK was 60MPH on A roads and 70MPH on motorways.
Interesting that the Cooper S makes 214bhp standard, when they quote 189bhp from the factory. Whereas the JCW makes 223 bhp but they quote 228bhp from factory. I wonder why the Cooper S is heavily over quoted yet the JCW is around what they quote 🤔

Great to see non piggyback tunes out there for this motor. Will be ordering soon. Do you need to know 94octane / intake tweaks- or are they too small to factor into tune. Canadian spec JCW
Just installed this on my 2016 F54 S. Followed his instructions and had NO problems at all. And just like he said, all of the ‘error’ lights went out after a few runs. I’m going to dyno it this week to check the gains and will post a follow up but the performance has exceeded my expectations to say the least.

I'm interested in having my 2013 JCW GP 2 tuned , how much hp should I expect? will the tune void my extended warranty..the vehicle currently has 22k miles on it. thank you. I’ve been so impressed with the n55 motor and just the build quality of BMW , they really are a set apart in every department ‘ including YOUR dealer costs , But check it out, if you Remove that one issue, The dealer , these are affordable, tunable and in some cases luxury performance vehicles that absolutely burn the tires off anything around them all day long and night. When I go back to the UK where gas is like the same for a liter as it is for a gallon here, im getting a Camden s and im going to tune the fuck out of it.

So in your experience, if BMW could have equipped these cars with 80 more HP with just software with no detriment to the gearbox, why wouldn't they? There must be SOME impact on reliability or longevity somewhere?
The engine is detuned from factory. It makes more power in different models. Its not a big secret

It isn't mentioned in the video, but after programming the ECU and completing the ignition off process I assume you have to turn the ignition back on to write the coding data back in?

Yeah a stable voltage is a must have for your DME!

How is the impact of this map on sport automatic transmission? Do you limit torque in lower gears to improve reliability?
Yes we lower the torque for the automatic. We have not seen any issues with the auto gearbox on this car.

Can the ecu be reverted to stock map when there is the need to go to the anual inspection, for example?
It can be, but if BMW want to find out that it’s been tuned they will. There is no way to hide it.

How much is this tune?
I want a Stage 1 but I worry about part tolerances and reliability. Wouldn’t make sense to risk the clutch?
Stage 1 tune is completely reliable given a well maintained car. We saw no detrimental effect on the clutch of our Cooper S.

It was yes, we have now sold it for a GP3.

No, we ran our car on stock intercooler.

Any ECU is detectable even if you go back to stock.

How does this affect warranty once flashed back to stock ?? Will it be detected ?
Yes any ECU flash can be detected if BMW/MINI want to find it.
My Car get three different mappings. If you flash the stock Software before you go to the dealer, they dont find anything.
Good Tuning Tools dont write a new program counter or aif.
Can you flash a F60?
What happens when you bring your mini in for an update? Will it erase the tune?
It depends what they update. In this situation we can reload the tune for free, or if you have an Evolve-R you can do it yourself.

Has a different ECU we do not support via OBD.

We run a little less power on the autos at around 280 BHP.
Evolve Automotive why is that? I have a B46 with 231hp stock and run with a BMS air intake, FTP charge pipe, EvoRacewerks hiflo downpipe, and Wagner FMIC. I’d like to get the engine above 300hp. I like my JB4 but I’d like more power at the low end which is where I drive most of the time.

Only the N14 engine is supported in the R Series.

Random question, but does anybody know what the phone cradle is they have the right hand side of the steering wheel that fits perfectly over that circular vent? I've been looking for one like that for ages but can't find it!!

I keep hearing people shash lick on about ‘The dealer ‘ will know , if you are the type of MUG that needs a dealer in your life then just give up with life now . Any BMW made car 9/10 times is fixed with a obd dongle and Beamer tools and Beamer link and some basic knowledge and a language converter on your phone , you can change and fix it all your self, there really not hard to work on and to be honest , nobody does a better job than me on my car. Go throw your money at the dealer , honestly , if it’s turbo charged now days , it’s tunable, charge pipes and inter coolers and so forth are easy work and you would be amazed at just how easy it is to get a BMW or Mini up to stage 2, less than a grand.
