11:21 The Dutch 2014 world cup performance was nothing short of a legend. Players were either written off or still very young, but under van Gaal they fell 1 penalty series short of the final. Other than that, great video!
This. The dutch media and most people here had mostly written off this team as being in transition and that we would be lucky to get through the round of 16. Instead we went all the way to the semi's to become third. Even humiliating brazil again for the third place with 3-0.
I think it was worth mentioning that the Euros 2008 were also legendary for the dutch demolition of previous world cup finalists France and Italy in group stages with a stellar RVP, Sneijder and Robben. Even though the elimination against Russia left us in big disappointment I think most of us dutch remember 2008 fondly for those two matches. It really united the country for a week back then.
When I was a kid there were three Dutch teens everyone was raving about. Van Der Vaart, Robben and Van Persie. They all played for different teams in the Dutch big three at the time. Van Der Vaart was by far the most hyped! People were tipping him to become the best player in the world. Robben was number two and Van Persie was way behind them. But you could make a solid augment that Van Persie became the best player of the three. Him and Robben took a little bit of time to reach world class status and Van Der Vaart peaked quite early and never pushed on to reach his potential.
Nah man i love Van Persie but Robben truly became the best of the 3, his career doesn't lie and he too struggled for fitness, Van der Vaart was very naturally talented but i don't think he truly had elite mentality unfortunately.

Looking forward to this mate! As a Liverpool fan would love to see a video on Saurez. That 13/14 season was probably the best individual campaign I've witnessed as a fan
His off the ball movement was the best especially during his United years. Always disappeared and then appeared with a goal. Its a magic show. I learnt a lot by watching him.
Sir Alex had strong belief and brought Rvp to Man Utd on summer 2012. Actually, Man utd planned to buy Lewandowski but when Sir Alex know that Rvp want to leave Arsenal, he didnt think twice. You may think that Lewan would be better signing but at that time, Sir Alex needed a proved striker in PL to get the PL champions right away so he could retire (in fact he wanted to retire in the end of 2011-2012 season but the title's loss to Man City due to goals differences hurt him). Manutd even could get further in Champions League that year if Nani didnt get a questionable red card vs Real Madrid
The man brought his beautiful game to The Beautiful Game. I miss Ronaldinho, I miss Rooney, I'll miss Messi as I already miss Suarez, but I wish RVP could be forever. The Game was just so much fun because of him, every match of that MAN U season was magical with him on the pitch.
As an Arsenal fan i cant blame him, hindsight proved him right Arsenal had no ambition RVP did and the results speak for themselves. You can call him a snake all you want but it doesn't change the fact that only 1 out of the 2 has a tital in the past 15 years. If RVP bottled it like Alexis Sanchez did then people wouldnt care anywhere near as much. RVP is just a focal point for Arsenal fans to outlet there frustrations for an era they could and should have done better, which is even more pronounced with how far Arsenal have fallen.
RVP also claims that Arsenal were not offering him a new contract, I suspect, because Wenger thought that RVP's earlier injury problems would prematurely terminate his career. Which after one good season at United, they appear to have done.

Sitting in the dressingroom with Bergkamp and Henry totally changed his attitude, it humbled him and they showed him talent alone is not enough. RvB had magical left and really good right leg... Awesome player
His dribbling is overlooked search some compilations with rvp skills you will be in shock
Thanks for the videos mate ❤️
Of course, bro!
Favourite player for ages - and a leftie, my foot too
How was Bendtner a drop in standard of striker?
I'm Dutch that game against Spain was awsome shame they didn't fucking do that 4 years earlier
Please make a video on always unsung Robben and Sneijder too..they almost won the world cup for Dutch side.
another class video keeps these up
Oh Robin van Persie oh Robin van Persie 🔴⚪⚫
RVP was good... but was never great because of all his early injuries. But in 2011, when he played his full season without injury problems, he showed that he was absolutely world class.
He carried Arsenal (without Cesc and Nasri) by himself in 2012 to 4th. And then helped ManUtd go over the bump to reclaim the title the very next season. Class!
Pretty much single handedly won us the title. He’ll forever be great in my eyes
Okt wtf. I got a van persie advert watching this
Sweated out in Arsenal and became a Manchester United legend.
I was waiting for this one a while now. Can you do Clarence Seedorf or Pablo Aimar. A shout out if you do🤷🏾♂️
An exquisite soccer player just marvelous
