Just 2 years ago the bikes were more or less even in performance and it was up to the rider to make a difference. Now..... seems Ducati found something to make their bikes just slightly faster, especially in the straights. ??? 🤔
No it's the fact that Bau was riding Honda. Ducati was still the best bike .Ending up Redding ,Rinaldi who are not the fastest out there ,clinging victories. But with Bau the lightest rider on the strongest bike they were almost unbeatable for the next two years and only Toprak's class could make Yamaha shine here and there. They are still the strongest bike in 2024 but Toprak has an almost matching machine in the BMW. That combined with Toprak's abilities to adapt to new machinery and riding level makes BMW now a WCship contender.
@@Thirteen7447 But if you check back a few years you will find more Ducati WCships. Now they have more resources due to be a part of the Volkswagen Group.

Regarding Ray crashing out of the lead at 15:29 when the announcer said he made a rare mistake I laughed out loud. I can't think of a rider I've seen crash out of the lead more than Jonathan Ray. Remember in race 1 the bike was loose and he almost high-sided three times. Could they have overcompensated in set up making the bike plow against the nose, going from loose to push?
Toprak is driving the same way Sic did, hopefully it wont end the same way, hes lucky the riders dont act the same way in WSBK as they did in MotoGP to teach him a lesson.
Some of Topraz moves were ridiculous...but Rea has been doing it for 7yrs and it was hilarious watching him crumble but know he'd done same to other rivals. Redding is lad I feel sorry for, miles better than his teammate but wrong nationality AND it felt like he's being punished for riding hard but fair (he needs to be more unfair imo) and poor improvements to bike. BMW will be a disaster cos the bike is miles off, they'll develop it for him and his style but 2022 is a washout and 2023 is only MAYBE possible podiums. Its sad that MotoGP consider him too old despite his experience in Moto2/GP..... Well done to the Toprak, Rea needed a taste of his own medicine but its bad for WSBK. A grid full of riders who have to be that aggressive....he should look at Marc Marquez, it's a career that's gonna need luck to avoid injury.

doesn't hurt that he had one extra race to win the championship lol Who Came in first the last two races again if they would've had that third race we would've had a totally different champion
they can't. they have the bike the needs the most revs and dorna has imposed the largest rev limit on them. So, it's not kawasaki's fault their superbike looks like it's missing 6th gear... or loses 2 places on every straight... or is 15 kph down on top speed. just think how different the championship would've been had Rea not lost a 0.5 sec on every straight.
Rae wasn't allowed to win his 7th world title.. just like hamilton..it's a conspiracy just like in F1 (or maybe he just wasn't better! :))) In fairness.. at least he was not fair play during the season, like hamilton and th stweards gave him a few biased calls, like hamilton... what do you know!) :))) I like the guy though.. but like Toprak more now.. new blood is always more likeable, like Max!

It was an amazing year for sure. Jonny crashing 5 times and still managing second in the totals. Toprak rode well, but his bumping riding style will never earn my respect. It's not fear, that others prevent from riding like a jackass, but respect. Motorsport is a non contact sport, and should be treated that way. There need to be penalties involved when inconsiderate passing efforts result in contact. Would quickly teach the cowboy a lesson. Long lap penalty pass per touch caused by "impossible" passing attempt and asshole would quickly recalibrate. Anyways, it was an incredibly suspenseful season stealing the spotlight from motoGP, and that's what SBK needs! 2022 season, cannot come early enough!
Never been a fan of Raz, seems to just have a dirty racing style, others have had the same though they change and gain respect from fellow riders and fans. They become a champion, not a cheat.
@@cem330 ever since his junior days he has called it "aggressive late braking" most call it using everyone else to pay the price of missing you braking marker. Running people wide or forcing them to make sudden changes in a dangerous manner to take a position because you can not beat your rivals with race craft for the position and win is the exact definition of a dirty racer.
Its no coincidence Kawasaki if you make the bike that ugly people want feel awesome trying to ride it💩, please change the look back to what it looked like before and people will enjoy riding it again smh
😂 who is worldchampion, was it Rea again for the 10th time? 😂 first wsbk should begin to throw out that automatic up and down shifting and then do something about dominance of 1 team and 1 rider, just like they did when Bautista won 4 races on a Duc before 1 particular person started to cry. Then maybe some fans will go back to watching wsbk again. Motogp and F1 are starting to learn again, well a little bit maybe.
