- I finally got around to installing all my upgrades in my own personal gaming and editing PC!
I upgraded from:
CPU - Ryzen 9 5950X to Ryzen 9 7950X3D
RAM - GSKILL DDR4 32GB 3600mhz C16 to GSKILL DDR5 64GB 6000mhz C30
MOBO - Asus X570-E WIFI to Asus Crosshair Hero X670E
I also installed a new Thermalright contact bracket to help with temps and cleanliness of thermal paste as well as mounting pressure.
Links to products below via Amazon:
Asus X670E Hero - amzn.to/455vVnr
Gskill 64GB 6000Mhz C30 - amzn.to/3r4m2ID
Ryzen 9 7950X3D - amzn.to/3Pf4hhA
Thermalright contact frame - amzn.to/3Za5k72
I'm loving the new upgrades and really pleased I opted to stay on AMD as the support for the next 3 years is welcome seeing as I invested lots of cash into the motherboard.

Very happy with 7000 series and would love to know if your looking to upgrade?
This, is literally, by far, no doubt, the best and most engaging install video thus far! Well Done!
@tstarksproductions5084 thank you 😊 really appreciate it 🙏
Beautiful build!
Thank you 😊
Great video as usual mate, your build is similar to mine. I'm now rocking an 011 Evo with 7950x non 3d variant and a TUF 4090. Had it for nearly a year now and it's been fine, apart from a melted CableMod 90 degree 12vphwr adapter that bricked my 4090 a few months back, they recently updated the design and the newer variants are apparently better, but be careful with the older ones, Reddit is full of people with the same issues. Luckily warranty saved me and I'm now back in business.
Hope you and the family are all well, glad to see you still making the great content. Take care mate 👍
Hi matt thanks pal and yeah I have seen all the issues with the hvpwr cables. Glad your all bk up and running mate and thanks for the support 👍
Severely underrated channel. Your old videos have helped me SO much with knowledge and the nitty gritty stuff like wiring and where stuff goes. Looking to upgrade my ancient ryzen 7 3700x.. what’s your thoughts on a reasonably priced upgrade? Currently have a Radeon 6700xt. Great vid mate!
Hi buddy thanks so much 🙏 I would personally look for 5800x as a bios update will be all u need. Or if u wanna go best 5800x3d both have reduced in price massively.
Hi again tech check
Lovely build i wish in a near future upgrade like you
I build My first PC it's working so good im so happy
Enjoy it
Your videos are so great thanks for reply all the questions

Thank you 😊 and really pleased your build went well and your happy 👍 I appreciate the support.
Nice looking system and that gpu looks ginormous.
Cheers mate 👍 yeah strix 4090oc beautiful 😍
Just make sure you change memory context restore to "enabled" in the bios. Its in two places in the bios..one is in DRAM Timing & the other under the advanced tab. This will stop the memory training process on every boot up & get you faster boots.
Appreciate it and thanks 4 watching 👀
Awesome video iv just purchased a strix b650e-e paired with a 7800x3d. Would you recommend this exact ram or they also do cl-30-38-38-96 both saying compatible on asus website 🤔
Both will be fine mate let the price dictate the decision, mate 👍 either will be great.
grats on your upgrades man! enjoy! what are you playing lately, if anything?
Thanks buddy I appreciate it 👍 still playing some pubg not so often tho
Refreshing to see the reminder to always put your thermal place in paste. Average PC builders just have thermal paste in place and then wonder why stuff doesnt work. Nice build!
Thanks mate I really appreciate it 👍
ngl, I really thought you forgot an I/O shield when you asked for ''spot the mistake''. But yeah, have forgotten to get those 8pins in place. @@TechCheckUK
@MrLangobard haha I done that before too lol not for a long time tho. When you recording and talking and watching lighting and building there is alot happening but always like to leave the mistakes in so someone learns - appreciate u watching 👀
My pleasure to be here. I do enjoy channels with actual content that helps the community. Good stuff here, keep up the good work! @@TechCheckUK
@@MrLangobard thank you 😊 🙏
Niceeee 😍
Thanks mate glad u enjoyed
Stunning build!! I am building with the same mobo/CPU combo and wanted to ask you a question if that's ok. Did you need to update the mobo bios? With all the 7000 series and DDR5 ram drama I think it is absolutely recommended. What do you think?
Thanks mate 👍 I haven't updated as the bios I had was really good but dependent on bios version could be worth it if u need too
@@TechCheckUK I see. Thanks for the info! And again, enjoy your awesome build!
Cheers mate 👍
🔥
Thank you 😊
Hello, I wrote this on your video with the xigmatech Aquarius plus, the Intel 12700 and rtx 3070 ti, could you answer please, that would be a big help ! Here is my question concerning the video : Can i connect the 5v argb cable from the big fan / rgb controller thingy into the ADD Gen 2 header on the mobo ? Also, can i plug in the three aio fans that convert into one connector into the fan controller in its 8th fan spot as there isn’t enough space for all 10 fans, or could you tell me where you connected the aio fan connector to be able to sync the rgb with the other fans with the reset swtich. To help you understand here is my mobo ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS WiFi, and i have the same as you for everything except the mobo. Thank you for your time :)
Sorry for the late reply I confirmed on previous comment
do we really need cpu bracket for newer ryzen cpu i thought this was only for intel 12 and 13th gen cpus
Hi mate simply put NO its not a necessity but it will help both mounting pressure and to keep the thermal paste tidy. Thanks 4 watching
Note to self: Don't build my PC after midnight.
I just done it right now 😩
Did you remove the upper heat-sink tape on the cover of the second M.2 drive?
Yeah I did do that - was more I failed to connect the 2 x 8 pin eps cables lol
Hated the theatrical release of Justice League but I loved that poster
I'm a batman and superman fan and I found wonder woman (1st one) good but they can't match marvel mate 😢 appreciate you watching thank you 👍
You should do a video of you doing all that important stuff you said at the end of the video.... like a full play by play tutorial
I know pal but its been covered so much on YT - Next rime I do a full build ill do it 😀
❤
Thanks 😊
Just recently tried 4 stick of DDR5 platinum on my ROG z790 hero board and I wasn’t able to hit the Max of 7600MHZ that my sticks can apparently hit I don’t even think my board technically supports it but I was able to get 6200 MHZ with 4 sticks at base voltages and ran a mem test for 6 hours with no errors and have been playing cyberpunk for over 12 hours of gameplay with no issues
Yeah its very rare they run at max capacity or even at max mtps tbh. All depends on mobo and ram type. Best option is 2 x sticks and should run docp or xmp or amd expo at max settings but even then comes down to dim quality
Hi mate how come you haven’t used the 6 pin next to the 24?
Thats just for fast charging for usb c or ppd mate - I rarely charge anything from my pc tbh so it's not needed BUT it increases the standard 27wt connection to 60watts. Hope that helps and thanks 4 watching
@@TechCheckUK thanks for you’re reply mate. You should have way more followers btw to. Good TH-cam videos ✌🏾
@lethalno1 thanks mate 👍
May I know what case is that?
011 dynamic XL from lian li
What fans are these?
Ql120 from corsair mate
You forgot the 2 8 pin eps at the top
I sure did mate 👍
error power to mobo cables
Yes mate
Error. Eps power.
yep
get 192gb, i got 96gb in 2 sticks
Oh jesus 64gb is plenty even for 4k editing and have space to go to 128 if ever needed 🙄 good 4 you tho man sounds like u got a beast 💪
