@@roryfitzpatric I do believe thats only for connecting to the computers in the MK1 cars and theyre trying to transition that to emulation Still the fact that we built a self driving train in the 80s with that tech is insane. The skytrain still seems super futuristic
I had a great conversation with a sky train employee. An older fellow who was around back when they built it for Expo86. He told me the MK 1's are going to be phased out very soon. I know they're old and dated by now but as someone who's not from Vancouver originally, the old cars have a charm to the. Much in part due to their sound
SkyTrains are awesome, although this particular car sounds like it could come flying off the rails at any moment.
YES...and the trains are driverless. I was scared spitless when I first moved here.

I was born in Vancouver and the first time I use it was when I was 4 MONTHS OLD so needless to say it's not sketchy in my opinion
