That Toccoa load would have been a great video. The training ground of the Band of Brothers!
Camp Toccoa (formerly Camp Toombs) was the United States Army paratrooper training camp, which included the 101st Airborne, during WW II.
There’s the coveted Fat Max tape measure by Stanley and then there’s the Fat Max Partials tape measure for Hot Shotter’s!

Bro take of the bed on the truck so you won’t have length problems when stopped by dot .leaving the bed on the truck while hauling makes it a truck tractor trailer giving you more problems when pulled over .

Alex I have watched your TP vlogs from the beginning and you have done very well for yourself and your family. You should be proud of yourself and take the time to pat yourself on the back. You put yourself through the hot/shot school of hard nocks and came out the other side a successful owner/operator.I would like to come down there and compete with you but I have a few loose ends up here in ALASKA to take care of first. I have a 2018 ram 3500 single wheel that looks a lot like TP1.0. Have you ever thought about ordering yourself a trailer with heavy duty axles or a 3 axle trailer. Or what about a aluminum trailer with dual wheels it would off set the weight of heavier axles. What about a deck on the neck that could double as a air scoop for tall loads. I have a cdl and about 30 years OTR experience. I think what your doing is working out well the Enterprise lease is the only way to go for someone that runs east and west like you. Now you just need to build a bulletproof trailer. I like the fact that your non cdl a lot less bull shit just watch your weights.

  • @backfire5449

I would absolutely wait until you get the ratecon before you start moving. If the deadhead is even a little bit out of the way you could waste time and the broker calls back with some BS, load was cancelled/covered by another broker, etc. then you’re out whatever fuel and time you spent going to wards the shipper. Way to stack the partials you can get the jackpot with them sometimes. 👍🏻

With cdlA he'd need at the very least, steeper cost insurance, IFTA, a more expensive, higher capacity trailer, which then increases wear on the truck. Plus all the other regulations for runnning cdl, including at the least, clearinghouse random drug screening. For what? Extra $2-3000/yr? Not worth the hassle
