      Kyla, great job! Now that you have gotten a taste of the good life, I virtually guarantee that you won't ever return. I predict that you will marry a French guy and have your kids there. You just now need to figure out how to get your French citizenship.
      I've been traveling to Europe on and off for many years and always knew I was more European than American. I now have citizenship in Ireland, retired here full time early this year, and am never returning to the US.

    I am midwest born and raised, but I definitely don't fit in the midwest culture. I am more than positive that I would be more comfortable living in Europe. Congratulations to you both for being brave by moving overseas.

    Italians don’t drink “coffea” in the evening - they drink “espresso” where only a small amount of water is pressed quickly through the grinded coffea. As a result only a small amount of coffeine is released - that’s why they can drink it in the evening without getting affected by sleep deprivation.

    This was fun and informative. Americans have much to learn from Europeans. But will they? We tend to be ethnocentric.

    I have a frustrating experience. Not knowing where to begin or hitting a plateau can feel demoralizing and make it hard to hit the books and study like you know you should…Having friends from other cultures makes me more creative. In fresh ways about space and how people create their own world and environment. It is best way to connect between creative thinking and cross-cultural relationships

    I moved to US several years ago and when I visited my family in Italy after many years not seeing them the first thing they told me was "You are so fat". Lol, they are actually saying that being worried.

    I feel like about 60% of the directories on my computer are named "boh".
    Another 20% is probably "roba", "(random) stuff".
    I'm a very organized person...

    Usually, when people notice your weight, they also insinuate that you ate very well. That’s why we are a bit too honest on that in France at least. At the same time, we often think about European food, when we say obese is when we start to consider bad eating habits, and it is often associated with American fast food. (Note that obesity in France is barely overweight in the US)

    Great job, ladies! I’ve been traveling to Europe on business for a long time, been an expat in the Middle East, and got my Irish citizenship late last year. I retired here during the height of the pandemic, as I was determined not to return to the US for many reasons.
    In my opinion, the main difference between the two sides of the Atlantic is that Europe places ‘people’ and ‘experiences’ first and in America it’s far too focused on money (and career for many). In Europe, people work to live. In America, people live to work. European understand balance, Americans don’t.
    The social democracies of Europe have the highest quality of life of anyplace in the world. Once here, you don’t leave.

    • @americanexpat8792
      @americanexpat8792 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Abc def Social Democracy is the political orientation of various nations in Northern Europe. It's how political scientists denote this grouping of nations.

    • @americanexpat8792
      @americanexpat8792 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Abc def I understand the governmental structure of the Nordic countries quite well. The term 'Social Democracy' is just a term that political scientists use to characterize a country. What it means is that it's a democracy with a hefty amount of social programs to support it. On the other hand, America is not a Social Democracy because our social support system is next to non-existent.

    It said the French people are Italians with versatile mood. It’s true we are pretty similar for the most part. Italian people are much more fatalistic and passionate when French people are more analytical and Cartesian. We tend to be more suspicious. Someone like Silvio Berlusconi probably wouldn’t have been elected so many times in a similar place in France... he would have been hunted and dismissed from his mandate.

    I prefer an honest opinion/discussion rather than a superficial talk/non-hurting opinion. and yeah I'm an european. I won't make a compliment if it's not what I truly feel/think about that person.

    Thank you so much beautiful gals for this superb interview!! I love these comparisons! You both are SO lucky to live out your dreams before you get married and have children!!! If I had my life to do over I would have surely moved to France or Italy!!! Please show some more videos like this more on fashion beauty and lifestyle!! God bless you both I’m planning my trip to Italy for 2021 and will come see you Caroline💜 and have an air bnb experience!! Who knows maybe I’ll even move??? One question for you both: how do you both support yourselves? Pay for your apt? Food? Expenses? Do you get funds from your parents? I know Caroline you work for air bnb but how does that really pay monthly expenses?

      ingrid yes doing more on fashion, beauty, and lifestyle would be so cool! ❤️ Caroline and I definitely will have to! And personally, this year I worked as a language teaching assistant and made money through that- this upcoming school year as I do my master’s I will also be doing an internship and all long-term interns in France are paid :)

    This talk and setting was JUST WONDERFUL and USEFUL... and funny but you both our honest and cut it short.
    ...but while PLEASE KEEP THE AMERICAN SWEETNES AND HEARTHNESS for those who live there as a AMERICAN PERSONALITY MOST THE POLITENESS...! THAT IS WHAT WE HERE IN EUOROPE LOST . AFTER THE WWII ALL WAS FULL WITH WORK AND BUILD UP AND BECAME A 'FAMILY' of to be effective, so we cut things short, and stayed with it.... but we must learn some politeness of the civilization talk of you back a bit. ... and you must learn not to be afraid of either Europe or to make mistake.

    Non dovresti fraternizzare con il nemico: i francesi e i loro simpatizzanti. Se vuoi davvero integrarti qui in Italia, dovresti iniziare a pensare ad un piano per recuperare la Gioconda... così come fanno tutti i veri italiani. Dannati francesi, un giorno ce la riprenderemo!

    • @qdaniele97
      @qdaniele97 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lol...
      Beh, tecnicamente di tutte le opere italiane al Louvre, la Gioconda è una delle poche su cui non possiamo accampare diritti dato che Leonardo l'ha volontariamente donata al re.
      Io piuttosto opterei ad un risarcimento per i danni al patrimonio archeologico causati da Napoleone XD
