My brothers played an acoustic cover of Starlight Zone at my wedding when my wife and I were walking down the aisle. I'm a huge retro Sonic fan and that song has always been one of our favourites, but your version in this video was part of my inspiration in requesting it for the wedding. So thanks for that!

It was an amazing experience, like diving in an Alternative Sonic World. Congratulations. You guys are amazing. Thanks a lot. Subscribed!!!
It's been a year since my Grandad died. Had a zoom call with the family. Now I'm sat here listening to this with my 4th or 5th whisky. I always come back. I fucking love this.
thank you both for all the hard work and effort that you put into translating every detail of the music into guitar masterpieces. the way you accentuate and articulate each piece so consistently brings out the passion every we all had playing these games. well done!

Ahh! The nostalgia. I admit, the music from "Marble Zone", "Spring Yard Zone" and "Star Light Zone" are my all time favorites. I wish I heard a second round of "Spring Yard Zone" because that song is so catchy.
Just literally found you guys now. Wtf TH-cam!? Its 2020 and this is 8 years old! My kid isnt even that old! Such a blast from the past. Guys, keep up the good work. Its great to hear these old classics from childhood to played so elegantly!
Have watched this multiple times, I close my eyes as I listen and can see an 8 year old me playing each level. Goodness, how time can rob us of simpler moments in life. Intricate playing, terrific arrangement. Bravo.
This is good, but what I think is awesome is how far you guys have come in the last 8 years. I hope you're proud of how you've both grown as individual musicians, but also together as a band. Bravo!
This is brilliant! so many boring 'metal' covers of soundtracks, this is such a breath of fresh air for me haha. I'm actually smiling watching! haha. Subbed!
I just love people who venture into other genres and other instruments, it's a breath of fresh air, and if I see another "Rondo Alla Turca meets metal" kind of cover I'll lose my fuckin' mind.
Wow. Fanastic arrangement guys. The Marble Zone section was just mesmerizing. To take nothing away from the performance, it makes you realise just how good the soundtrack was. We were all too young to hear it, but Masaro Nakamura was a genius.
Guys, this is fantastic! Thank you so much for doing this. I know from experience how hard it can be to get a solid composition from these songs. Flawless execution!
Yeah man. This one song took us nearly a year to arrange, record, mix, all that good stuff. All things considered I'd say it was worth it but it definitely makes us think twice now about trying to arrange an entire game's soundtrack. -Steve
Wow that just brought tears to my eyes. This brought me back to a simpler time , my childhood. I had just turned 4yr, and Sonic was the first video game I've ever played. Y'all did an awesome job well done.
It may sound weird and maybe even ridiculous. But recently my girlfriend broke up with me after 1 year and 8 months of relationship and your music from the Special Stage to the end relaxes me when I'm sad about it. I really thank you for composing this.
Good thing you never played Sonic with your gf. The worst thing you can ever do in a relationship is share your favorite music, movies and games with her. It'll take you weeks to years to ever enjoy them again.
@@rhelferstay This seems like kind of a “take no risks and live a small life” kind of approach, which typically proves to be ultimately unsatisfying. One of the most fulfilling things about a relationship (to me) is sharing your favorite things! If you brought those passions into a relationship, you can carry them out, too! These things enthralled and inspired us for a reason all our own, often far before our significant others came along. While these things might remind you of that person and the grief of losing them for a while, your passion for that creation shouldn’t have died with that relationship. And if you’re looking for them, there will be another person who comes along and enjoys your passions with you as well (or better) than any previous partner. Breakups suck, but it’s even worse when one’s inspirations die with the relationship. We miss out on a lot of huge things in life when we let exes take our passions! ♥️
@@CravensBen Yeah but if those "passions" are a coping mechanism, like for him it was Sonic, for myself it was favorite music and movies, when you turn to them after a devastating end of a relationship, it just digs you into a deeper hole and it may take a long time to ever regain that same level of joy when indulging in those "passions". Relationships don't require your partner to like everything that you do, I've found those are the relationships that never last. Because if all your interests are the exact same, chances are many of your faults are exactly the same and that tends to lead to an explosive end.
This is some of the best music ever composed, all for a "stupid game". I knew it at the time, even though it was just "beeps and squeaks". But you have exposed it's true beauty, executed perfectly! Well done!
Amazing! And I agree that Marble Zone was killer. My brother and I played that game many, many times as kids (and we still play even now, once in a while)...So many memories!
I’m learning to play guitar, in 10 lessons in, god I wanna play this so bad. It looks so hard. I love the look they exchange at 7:08, they know they’re killing it.
