First of all, thank you for your kind words! and no i WISH i was half as good as Kurikinton Fox, he was an influence in my work so that's maybe what confused you, it is a huge compliment for me that you thought i was him :) The real Kurikinton Fox retired from music a few years ago, unfortunately :( (he is japanese by the way, I'm argentinian)
This is beautiful! I hated Labrynth Zone when I was a kid because it was impossible! But you've made me fall in love with it because of your rendition of the BGM.
@artonelicoAT3 I wanted a more punchy tone, especially considering the funky basslines on these tracks, unfortunately i didn't have much time to experiment with settings and i swear for the life of me i couldn't get it to sound right, so i used this "bassier" tone which i knew worked, instead of the half-assed other new tone i was trying to get. Thanks for your comment!! glad you liked it :)
Chemical Zone is from Sonic 2 (this medley is from the first game only). Hopefully I'll get to play some Sonic 2 songs in the future when I get some time, I'll have your suggestion in mind for when I do so :) Thanks for your comment!
@LPExor Not in the near future, but yes I promise I'll do a medley of Sonic 2 eventually, i loved that game! 2 and S&K were my favs (the individual cart for S&K, you know with Mushroom Hill then Flying Battery , etc) Thanks for watching! :)
@jonandjez Hi!! sorry I didn't see your message earlier. I don't have physical copies to sell unfortunately, the only way to get these songs by downloading them from any of the links on the description, as mentioned by @lukerahman , the third link is the whole album :) (you can also download individual songs if you want, from the same site).
You helped me relive my childhood 30 years ago, but I'm begging for you to do the regular boss music with this. Put your own spin on it, but keep the original flow. You're the only guy in the world who can do retro gaming music with so much precision. I smile whenever I see your name on retro music remixes.
yes of course, there's a download link right there in the video description! :) Note that this is an mp3 of the medley as it is played in the video. I don't have the individual stages or anything like that, just the same song as in the video (with a slightly better quality because youtube compresses the audio) Thanks for checking the video! ^_^
I'd love to do that if it was possible, but in reality it would probably take YEARS haha! (the game has like 80+ tracks). FF8's is my favorite sountrack from the series, so I might end up doing something about it someday, maybe a more realistic goal :P
the original Marble Hill Zone track was always the dopest but most songs in the first 2 games are top-notch. Chemical Plant Zone is ridiculously catchy and Green Hill Zone/Emeral Hill Zone are both really nice.
This is the best sonic rock cover out there!! Dude, you gotta remake this video with the same music with new technology that’s out there. It’s already really good
If you recorded and uploaded this all the way back in 2011, then i can only imagine you're a total virtuoso right NOW! Nailed It!....Oldskool video games had the best music \m/
Dude you should totally make extended plays of each track. I could listen to them all individually for hours. I always knew these songs would translate to metal real well. Good Job
One thing I like about this playthrough in particular is how clear it sounds! Nice job on that. I know, from listening to Jules, that it can get pretty scratchy at some times. You both got it down though.
Yeah that was the only thing that gave me slight doubt, that, and your playing of the FFVII mini boss theme, was just sliiiiiighlty different to his with him playing certain parts that you didn't.. Thanks for replying of course, and you're welcome for the compliment and I can't wait to see what other music you'll be putting out. I hope it gets you somewhere, you deserve that much.
I've been listening to Daniel Tidwell this morning. Then it popped into my head - "where's that awesome cover of the Sonic medley? From the dude with long hair?" The memory came flooding back! So I hit up the youtube to search. Phew, it's still here! Only problem is that thing cover doesn't seem to be on Spotify. First world problems eh?
Hola, las baterías las armo yo mismo manualmente en mi programa de grabación (Cubase). La mayoria de estos programas tienen un secuenciador midi, con eso escribes las pistas de baterías (o de otros instrumentos). Suerte!
If been listing this forever. Actually I loved the music since the games came out. So nice to see it portrayed like this cuz even when I was a wee little shit I knew it was good tunes...good stuff on the 2nd game too...sky chase zone...and lvl. 3 in the forest with the Spanish beat
Great medley, brother! I think you really nailed Spring Yard Zone, as that was my favourite level! Those people who disliked your video don't understand the work you put into this! :) Keep on rocking! :D
Awesome dude this is the best I've seen yet. It's rare for a decent cover but I've only seen 2 so far, you for the Sonic covers and Artificialfear for the Zelda covers. I look forward to hearing what else you have to offer. :)
Very nice. I do think some of these are better suited to the heavy guitar rendition you're doing and others not as well, but frankly it's not a jarring enough difference to make this anything other than a thoroughly enjoyable medley. Good job.
lol damnit. i was working on a sonic 1 medley (not all stages) and some parts sound just like yours! i probably shouldnt put it up now =( hahaha. good job though man. excellent work.
Amazing!!! love marble zone my favorite Sonic theme, your Castlevania covers are top notch, very clean not sound saturated, in one word perfection, keep' em coming ;)
I rock too this shit in my car...full blast and sounds great with the sub too. When I was a child i mew the tunes were excellent tho they were in midi form. I appreciate this more than u know! And I didn't just discover you. Been listening to this for a while now and still produces euphoria thr same.
Thanks for watching guys!

Star Light Zone Estoy llorando
That was absolutely amazing. Love how you changed between playing styles. Thanks - really enjoyed it!
I'm in the process of doing so :) soon I'll announce the first selection of covers (spoiler: it includes this medley! ^_^)

4:52 that transition was flawless and fucking amazing!!!
One thing I like about this playthrough in particular is how clear it sounds! Nice job on that. I know, from listening to Jules, that it can get pretty scratchy at some times. You both got it down though.
What a f#&kin treat at the end with the boss music. Brought back SO many memories.

I always say that these 80-90s game music composers were geniuses.
Thanks for this!
You took classic songs and made them better. You fucking rock. Keep 'em coming.
