Do you have a video for the straight stab? Over 90 percent of the stabbings I have investigated were done with the straight stab to the neck, torso and side at close range
@@shellyizzet1589 Never seen anything like this in the movies. I’m sure these techniques are based off “real world” strikes. Training full force everyday is just as unrealistic to me…❤ all luv homie 🤙🏽
@@shellyizzet1589 that's not correct. It is a flow drill... not for movies, but also not the same as a technique. The drills are the building blocks for muscle memory and skill. And the Filipino arts are notable effective in this regard.
Without a proper C grip on the free blocking hand, the knive will land in your belly during the inside drill. So basic in every fma class. 2-5 were ok.
Being at knife stabbing incidents need to focus techniques are different situations to this defense they have been fast multiple stabbing to stomach ribs chest and neck with very fast close contact attack of multiple knife stabbing to the victim that can be complicated to defend from by the victim
Yes, that's why we must not think about techniques and fancy moves, just a basic, simple and practical method because in reality, there's only simplicity but practicality.
I personally know 2 persons whove been knifed and lived to tell about it. ONLY because the thug(s) didnt go all out 1. One narrowly avoided the knife hitting his carotid as it came down on his shoulder. He showed me his 2in scar. His buddy was not so lucky and died in his arms. The attacker was a worker from a slaughter house in that bad neighborhood. 2. Another got 3 stabs as from not one...not two...but three thugs. My cousin (a street toughie himself) later told me the trio didnt go whole hog on the guy....hence only 1 poke apiece. - from the mean streets of Manila
I love this: „It’s just a drill“ nonsense! Why are you drilling in an underhand position if no one will ever attack you like this, except he’s from the movie „Psycho“ 🤦🏽♂️ I‘m not a hater, but after training Self Defense for over 27 years I can’t see this things anymore. People out there maybe may think this actually works and bring themself in harm’s way. Sorry but please stop this. Why training a drill in which you would be sliced 675 times in this manner..??? 🤷🏽♂️ I know all the drills you are showing, but they are not intended this way.
this does not work in real life at all. the best way to defend against this is to run and throw things create distance and get to your firearm if possible if you do have to face someone with a knife you'll have a better chance of survival by kicking in an unexpected angle with an unexpected speed. never ever get up close to someone wielding a knife like ever. this could maybe work if you have body armor kevlar or something you can't easily cut so perhaps going up against another skilled military opponent who is trained to swing the knife a certain way it could help to learn this or if you train to an absolute master level but for the average person just run and look for the blicky.
Yes there is. The problem is your looking at drills as defense against a certain action. These drills are to develop skills. To learn to flow, and to learn to pass. They teach sensitivity for a reaction. The more you train, you eventually add scenarios and attacks. FMA doesn't really teach you ,if A happens do b&c. They teach you movement and how to react. It's not something you pick up after one class. Hope this is helpful?
I had the pleasure of working w Belton. Great teacher. He is very thoughtful as to 'why' we do what we do in terms of technique and its applications.
I've trained with Paulo Rubio at a seminar last month in the UK. 🇬🇧 We've used similar drills, this is really good stuff. Excellent knowledge.💯💪🏻
More Belton please! Fantastic teacher we could use a full for sale seminar just sayin!
@@stephenbramel9395 for real! That would be awesome 🔥

Yep lol . And it’s usually a sneaky one from the waist aimed up .
Almost none of these techniques are anything a real knife attack involves .
@@panchopistola8298 All practice builds experience, instinct, automation of movements, etc. Can’t hurt.

Great vibe! Your communication skills are as awesome as your martial arts talent.
Awwwwwwwwww, I love your baby soft hands and little tattoos.
this is the 2nd best knife defense.
the best knife deffense is still by running away. so built up that cardio and develope an explosive sprint
Great techniques thank u so much

Dear Sir ~
A really excellent instructional video presentation .

그렇더라도 연습은 이런식으로 해두는 겁니드. 도망가거나 갈이가 더 긴 무기로 상대하는 게 옳겠지만. 단 한번 만 막을 수 있더라도 한 번의 기회가 다 생기는 거니까.

My biggest fear is knife attack! 😢
Drill to get the skill and when you need it, you use the skill not the drill
"Master knife fighting" by watching a TH-cam video and then doing drills? Come on, fellas. 😀

People stab like a sewing machine, strait on, people don’t knife fight, people stab like a sewing machine, fast as they can. No defense against that
