Great Video, I was going to get the Flowmaster 18” for my 21’ Tundra but now leaning towards the Flowmaster you installed 🍻 .

terrific pick for the Tundra...no drone at all. And YES you did hit the tow haul to keep the REVS up.!!

Just bought the same 50 series for my 2019 Tundra 5.7 engine. 2 pipes in 1 out, just like factory layout. By far the cheapest way to get a nice (legal 95db) sound from the tundra.

Balance it by replacing air intake with the K&N air filter direct replacement. So you will have more air. It will not trigger your check engine light. You will feel the difference at higher speed. Some questions asked about check engine light after installing flow master, it should not come on because it after bank 1 sensor 3. Nice tundra👍👌

Put one on my 4Runner and have people turning heads all the time. Might be more aggressive then you think.

What do you like better the 18” magnaflow or the 50 flowmaster ? Which one has less drone at hwy speeds around that 2000 rpm mark

@@jameshoward8491 I do not recall there being anything outstanding. Tundra is pretty quiet with windows up, down -there is just a low growl.
My current ‘20 has a Borla, wouldn’t get it again. Barely anything soundwise, id definitely choose the flowmaster again, not loud or repetitive a good combo of civility and performance tone when wanted.

Hey, just found your channel and have been really enjoying the content you cover as I can relate some of it to my 2019 Tundra. I’d really like to purchase this exact exhaust for my truck but Amazon is telling me it is not compatible with my rig.. not sure why it would be since your video shows it can be done 🤷🏽‍♂️ thanks.

What id like to know is what HP and Torque gains you would get with the TRD cold air intake and the Flowmaster. I tow and could always use a little more of both.

im going with the Thrush welded - 40 series knockoff dual in dual out in 2 days. hopefully not too loud at 5:30 am with my 4.6 when i leave for work 😆

Did they have to disconnect your battery before they welded it? Are you still liking it or is it annoying after a while?

    • @JLeeChron

      No disconnect for exhaust welding.
Prefer the Flowmaster to the Borla I have on the current Tundra

You ppl do this just for the sound?

    • @JLeeChron
      @JLeeChron  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes .
And also some exhaust systems are restrictive to air flow- changing to free flowing can improve mpg.
Also oem is usually heavy, so there can be a weight savings.

Yea and pay $1400 for a black painted exhaust thats not even a full cat back, which was only $8-900 a year ago. No thanks. Over-rated. You can get Trd exhaust cheaper.

No dyno run, so can’t say for sure. I was surprised the stock muffler was as light as it was though.
