As a Catholic, we don’t do the Sacraments in order to boast or think that we are better than anyone else. The Sacraments are for deeper internal reflection and spiritual growth and our relationship with God. I do not think it was fair to try to make that point saying that we do it to brag :(

Yeah we do need to be United however I feel like if it’s a choice between Catholicism and Evangelical Christianity it makes sense that we’d only encourage belief in Christ instead of a maybe more limited approach. The narrow gate isn’t narrow for its hoops and hurdles we have to perform well on but instead the full commitment that many will deny. So I think we should spread the Gospel that Jesus spread in its simplicity. We should all just be open to the Word of God and be at peace because we are all his children with an inheritance. But yes division is horrible and could be devastating to ministering tk the lost if they find us bickering

We do need to unite, but in love, meaning that when somebody is on the wrong path, we must correct them in love. God says : « If you love me, you will keep my commandements. », meaning that we should love HIM above everything, read his word, and then we will understand why God has said that certain things are not in his will. If we truly seek HIM, not a religion, not a category in culture, he will reveal himself to you. I love and bless you guys! I pray right now that the Holy Spirit would convict us of our wrongdoing, as I am not perfect either, and of his sacrifice on the cross that has covered all sins, if we come with a humble heart. Amen!

One way of defining a Christian is if that person completely believes the Bible is true. If you don't then you're not Christian. And there are denominations that are not Christian but claim to be, like the Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons. These specifically changes the Bible to fit their unbiblical beliefs. And, after the Protestant Reformation, Catholics have added the Old Testament Apocrypha to the Bible to support beliefs that weren't supported by the Bible in the first place. The Bible is the living word of God, and if you don't believe it's true, so much so that you even dare to change it just to suit your beliefs, is the definition of forcing things. And that's why most people, including me sadly, say Catholics are not Christians.
Oh, and I want to add my view on praying to saints. You believe that they intercede on your behalf, right? Well, they can't hear you. Look at it this way. You believe they can hear you, right? But here's the thing, only God, or "gods" can hear prayers. Look at other religions, for instance Hinduism. They don't pray to religious leaders who died, for example Gandhi, coz they don't believe they have such powers. They only pray to their gods coz they believe they have the power to hear them. God can hear your prayers because He's there with you. He's omnipresent. He's there with you, that's why He hears you. Mary is in heaven, OK? So is Peter, Paul, John, and the other apostles and believers of Christ, OK? They don't know you exist yet. They'll only know you when you go to heaven and meet them in person. And they, especially Peter, would be furious to find out you've been praying to them and not God. Like the guy didn't get crucified upside down for you to pray to him, it's coz of his love for God. Assuming they can hear you, although unintentional, elevates them to divine status. And even if they could hear you, they all sinned. Make no mistake, none of them were perfect. Even they needed someone to intercede for them and someone did, Jesus. He is the one and only mediator, for He lived the perfect life for us. He is the only one worthy to speak on our behalf, and He does. So instead of praying to Mary, who can't hear you anyway, pray to God. Don't worry coz you think you're not perfect. He calls you to come as you are. Prayer is supposed to be you talking to God. He wants to talk to you.
Catholicism as a religion has diverted the attention from God to others. Instead of praying to God, you're praying to people. You've overcomplicated the gift of salvation when God Himself made it so simple. So to solve this problem, look at what Christianity, not Catholicism, is all about. It's about Jesus. Not Mary, not Peter, not blessed Alexandrina, not Joan of Arc, not anyone else, but Jesus. Look at Jesus, coz He's the reason you're saved, He's the reason you have eternal life, it's all Him. Let's not argue. I invite you to learn about Him, fully. To get to know Him more. That's what Christianity is all above. Think about it. Sorry if this was too harsh.

To be saved by the sacrifice of Jesus , the pure lamb of God, who God provided for salvation is what God has provided as the one true way to Himself.
Jesus is at God's right hand , and our one God given mediation to Himself.

I grew up Catholic and got a Catholic education. One of my mother’s uncles was a bishop. I was so in love with the Catholic Church that I would have died to defend Catholicism. The amount of Christian friends that called us idolaters was great. I decided to ask Catholics if they believe in Jesus. God is my witness. Many said, “No, I believe in the Virgin Mary”. I spoke with my sister and she told me that she and I learned in the Catholic University that Protestants and Catholics are Christians. From my survey, realized that some Catholics are idolaters. Some Catholics do not believe in Jesus. My Catholic mom said that she was taught to pray to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, NOT the Pope, Mary and the Saints. More Catholics need to know that.

According to the Holy Quran, Jesus didn't claim that he was the son of Allah(God) But He said...
      Zuhruf 64
I seek refugee in Allah from the Satan.
In the name of Allah ,Rahman ,Rahim
"Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a straight path."
      -----------------
And on the resurrection day Allah will ask Jesus about the Christian faith.
      Quran - Maaide 116-118
And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities (gods) besides Allah?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.
I said not to them except what You commanded me - to worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them, and You are, over all things, Witness.
If You should punish them - indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
      ----------------
If you love Jesus, accept him as a Messenger not as the God and not as the son of Allah. If you are a follower of Jesus, believe in Messenger Muhammad, too. And he heralded Messenger Muhammed's arrival . Jesus said to his people this👇👇👇
      Quran -Saff -6
And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."
      *(Ahmad=Another name of Messenger Mohammad)
      Quran -Women 171
O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.
      ----------------------------
I invite you to be a Muslim. Latest, last and only valid religion in the Hereafter. First step is to say "I witness that there is no god but ALLAH, and i witness that Mohammad is Messenger of Allah" and believe in this. Islam is a monotheistic religion. Allah doesn't accept the existence of false deities and He orders humanity to believe in only one God, Him. He explains why it is impossible the existence of gods other than Him in Holy Quran in chapter Isra which means The Night Journey and in chapter Enbiya which means Prophets.
      Quran-Isra-43
Say, [O Muhammad], "If there had been with Him [other] gods, as they say, then they [each] would have sought to the Owner of the Throne a way."
Exalted is He and high above what they say by great sublimity.
The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [Allah] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving.
      Quran-Prophets-22
Had there been within the heavens and earth gods besides ALLAH, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
      --------------------
Six Pillars of Faith in Islam
1-To believe in Omnipotent Allah (GOD) (without ascribing partners to Him. Without saying "He has a son." Without saying "He has a helper out of weakness")
2-Angels (Without giving them woman names. Without saying "They are daughters of Allah")
3-All Holy Scriptures (Books revealed by Allah)
4-All Messengers (accepting them as human beings not gods or sons of God)
      5-Judgement Day (Resurrection Day)
      6-Destiny
      Five Pillars of Islam
      1- SHAHADA
To say "I witness that there is no god save Allah, and i witness that Muhammad is His Messenger."
      2- SALAT
To perform prayer 5 times a day.
      3- SAWM
Fasting in the month Ramadan according to lunar calendar. (29-30 days)
      4- ZAKAT
If you are rich you give alms to poor people.

Catholic here. I was a protestant most of my life and it seems like the idea of faith alone sounds good but it leads people to think their sins dont matter. Say i give my life to christ, do good deeds every day, try to a good christian but then at night, i go out do drugs, watch porn, masterbate, and eat as much as i want before i black out. This wasy life as a protestant. When i became catholic, i increased my good deeds, and quickly reduced my sins, i still go to confession every week. By no means am i sin free because im catholic now. Im much more aware of them, more thoughtful of them, and i no longer believe in eternal security so i never take breaks from my faith and just do what i want when the chips are down. Im much more in the fight than ive ever been. I never wouldve stopped trying to sin if i maintained that same calvinist mentality. I thought the work of the cross covered every sin i ever comitted or will ever comit and nothing could seperate me from god. No matter how selfish i get, im good. It didnt matter if look at women online like objects, it didnt matter that i was smoking myself into oblivion, eating myself into an early grave, and taking the lords name in vain for laughs. I had faith and none of that could seperate me from god, i was elect and chosen by god.
I look back at that those 10 years like man.... who made you god? Sola scriptura did. I got to tell scripture what it means, i got to ignore passages i didnt like if it contradicted a passage i did. I felt like god gsve us a thorn in the flesh and made it so we have to sin.... that sin was a constant reminder of thr gratitide wr should have for christ's sacrifice. You see this is what happens when youre alone with your bible too long. You start deciding what scripture means.... you become the final arbiter. You you you. Sola scriptura is all about you and i find it to be the most satanic doctrine in protestants. It allows you to define gods personality, motivations, regrets, you define his wrath, rc sproul once said " God damned the son!" It was the moment that shook me out of calvinism for good. Its like wake up tim, these people are not on christs side!

@Jay-ne9mv Ah so you see works of the law and good deeds are not the same thing? Romans 2 is true and romans 3! Now you see the consistency of catholic theology? If good works and works of the law are the same thing, then Paul is arguing with himself and romans becomes inconsistent. To truly accept sola scriptura romans 2 and 3 must be accepted as truth. So the question is, in your theology, how can we be justified apart from the works of the law as it says in romans 3 and rewarded with eternal life by doing good and seeking the glory of God?
He will repay according to each one’s deeds: 7 to those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life, 8 while for those who are self-seeking and who obey not the truth but injustice, there will be wrath and fury.
Both passages in scripture must be true and the ONLY way I see that being possible if good works and works of the law are NOT the same thing. There are several categories of works that Paul and scripture talk about.
Works of the spirit, works of the flesh, works of darkness. You can't simply assume Paul is referring to all works when he says works. If you look into the context, works of the law are things like ritual washing, circumcision, food ordinances. Good works are things like feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, increasing faith, spreading the good news, the eucharist.
If you can break through the protestant manipulation. Scripture will make so much more sense to you. Just remember Paul mentions circumcision like 30 times to make sure we know which kinds of works he's talking about.
There's another entire subject when it comes to the protestant manipulation of salvation. They try to say salvation is a one time event but scripture is very clear that it is a life long process.... how you view salvation will also cause scripture to be consistent or contradictory. Taking the once saved, always saved is the biggest blunder. The catholic concept is the most biblical here as well. We are initially saved entirely by grace through christ. Then once we are saved, we work out our salvation with great fear and trembling. At the end of our life once the race has been run, we hope God finds us worthy and will not disqualify us. The sacrament of reconciliation and gods forgiveness is always there for when we slip up.

As a Catholic I would like to just share the way I look at it. We never pray to saints but we do ask for their intercession as they are in heaven and close to God. Also, I guess the reason I would think they can hear our prayers is because of the miracles they performed in order to be canonized. And in terms of working for salvation, I agree salvation is freely given but if we do not live in a way that chooses God and accepts that salvation God will not force us to join him after death. Protestant here and definitely not Catholic.
"Catholics" vs "Christians" is an absolutely terrible distinction to make. What you really mean is Catholicism vs Evangelical Protestants. If we take the creeds into consideration both groups are Christian. This also forgets Lutherans, Anglicans, Church of the east, Coptics, and Orthodox. But that's neither here nor there.
1.) The Saints are not dead, they are participating in the divine life of God. take that and your reading of Revelation 5 and 8 and you could arrive at the Catholic doctrine of saints pretty easily. Doesn't mean that it is right, but it's not that crazy when you know the Theology well.
2.) This really, i mean really misses the understanding of Catholic view of justification. First of all, sanctification is also salvation, and sanctification includes faith and works. The question isn't "are we saved by our faith and our works" but "our we justified by faith and works". Are we righteous because we believe, or are we righteous because we believe and live according to what we believe.
Catholics would say the spirit enables us to be righteous through our faith and works through which we merit, by grace, final salvation. I don't believe this is right, but it's not purely works based salvation at all.
Protestants would say that true faith produces works, and so therefore works are still absolutely necessary for salvation because if there's no works there's no faith, and if there's no faith there's no salvation. However in Protestantism and in Orthodoxy we don't earn our salvation at all.
Orthodoxy, which is different from both, holds that grace is the energy of God and we are saved by participating in this energy through faith. We do become more righteous by faith and works, but we don't earn final salvation, we simply maintain it.
It's really important to get the distinctions because this can cause christians to believe other Christians are heretical without even knowing exactly what they think.

Hi there, Protestants are not Christians! Jesus very clearly said in his word: Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"
In this time era, there is a false doctrine that claims that any sect who says they are Christians they must me Christians, but that IS NOT the doctrine that Jesus taught. In fact, Protestants are the ANTICHRIST!
Yes, they are the ANTICHRIST and the bible very clearly says so in 1 John 2:18-19 "Children, it is the last hour! As you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. From this we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But by going out they made it plain that none of them belongs to us."
THERE YOU HAVE IT, ANYONE WHO GOES OUT FROM CATHOLICISM IS NOT A CHRISTIAN BUT THE ANTICHRIST!
Before the year 1521 there was only ONE christian church and it was the Catholic church that Jesus founded, but during the year 1521 there was a catholic priest called "Martin Luther" that separated from the Catholic Church of Jesus Christ and started teaching heresies.
Martin Luther and his followers were Catholics, they went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But by going out they made it plain that none of them belongs to us (they are not Christians, even if they call themselves Christians, they are not Christians because they have severed themselves from the body of Christ which is the church. Thus, they have become the antichrist!)
Many people nowadays have been lied by the protestants! They tell you: "Come to us, we are Christians, we preach the word of God, we do many miracles, we show great sings of power..."
But what Catholics (the true Christians) do not know is that Jesus WARNED YOU about these false prophets and antichrists a long time ago!

I’m a catholic. And when I get asked about why the church declares saints, ultimately we are pointing to the goodness and grace of God. For example, if you are at an art museum, and an artist is standing next to their painting. If you come up and start saying “oh wow, look at how beautiful the painting is! The detail, the color…” and then people come up to you and say “why are you worshipping the painting? Worship the artist.”
Point is, saints are recognized by the church to point to stories and instances of Gods love, His mercy, and how He can take an ordinary human, and make them extraordinary when you put your life into the hands of God.

Just as the apostles that have been blessed by the Holy Spirit and was able to speak in tongues. In which all still came from God.
Also we are not praying TO them, we pray WITH them. Saints are prayer partners, in a similar way that we have friends whom they pray over for us, and this is still direct to God either way. I do not see any contradiction at all. Also, for us, prayer is NOT the same as worship. I think this is where the misunderstanding goes. For almost all religions, except Catholicism and East Orthodoxy, prayer equals worship. Prayer is a way of communication, while worship involves sacrifice. So no idolatry here for us, as well.

@@fletcherg8601 Yeah, I get what you mean. However for Catholics, we believe that being in heaven is the resurrection (eternal life), hence they are alive, living, "living saints". Testimonies about saints continuously helping, through the power of God are existing today. Though of course, some of these testimonies are under scrutiny by the Catholic Church, and not all are still approved to be true. There are even some apparitions that have been recognized that it was demons disguised as someone that is from heaven.
I do not know how the Catholic Church is able to know which pieces of evidence are to be considered as true pieces of evidence, and which ones are not.

Reading the comments really compells me to write my story. I was a catholic as well. A sturborn as well as whenever someone talks about my religion and it was wrong I became so protective. Until I started asking God to show me himself if I was truly doing the wrong thing and yes He was faithful it first started when I was praying the rosary. I started to feel awkward praying it. God made me realize after years of praying the rosary for the first time that I pray to Mary more times than to Him. 10 beads is Mary and 2 is to him. From there I started to realize many more things and eventually I got a dream months later that changed my view of salvation and I knew there and than I had to change. Despite what people will say as I was in youth leadership. Today I have a closer relationship with God. One that I never had as a catholic. What I would say to Catholics is open you heart to Recieving the word. Read the scriptures Alex suggested and ask the Holy spirit to help you. Do not grief the Holy Spirit on Him trying to show you the way you should go. God loves you and He loves you enough to correct us. Amen. God bless your journey.

What you missed when you were a Catholic, was the difference in the degree of sin. In the state of mortal sin, the evil one will do whatever he and his minions can do to prevent you from saying the rosary, even to the point of whispering voices your way, and the Lord will permit it for any unconfessed mortal sin. You must cooperate with the grace that comes from the recitation of the most Holy rosary as well as consecrating yourself to her sacred heart. A grave warning to you is that abandoning the one and only faith for one the is surrounded by division and confusion, will have far greater consequences for you than for those not given the great gift that is the Catholic faith.

Actually, the Rosary as a whole focuses on the Mysteries of salvation, while you are praying Hail Mary’s, you generally Meditate on Mysteries such as the Annunciation, or the Crucifixion and Death of Jesus, or the Resurrection, or the Scourging at the Pillar, or the Crowning of Mary, or the Ascension of Jesus, or Pentecost. The Rosary is an extremely Biblical prayer. We do pray Hail Mary’s but the Rosary is to Jesus through Mary, using the Rosary. If you do the Rosary right, then sitting there and Meditating upon the Mysteries of the Faith, then it’s the greatest prayers ever.

@@kyrptonite1825 and my friend this is the idolatry of Catholicism. The prayer to Jesus is biblical, but to mary, who isn't holy or a Saint and shouldn't be worshipped because that's what you're doing if you pray to something other than God, it's a sin. God made it clear in His Word not to do this. Though the church you go to may teach this it is wrong. They also lie about what is biblical. You pray to God, not a statue or a dead person. Jesus taught his disciples to pray to the Father. So while God will wink at this, you are committing idolatry. Read the Bible for yourself and ask God to show you the truth. To pray just bow your head humbly before the Lord and let your troubles be known to you. God wants us to be strong minded servants not followers of false doctrine made by the original people who killed Christians. My friend you have been taught wrong, the pope doesn't have the same authority as God, if they teach that to you, God is the creator and commands all. He is who you go to and He is who you take orders from. The Lord is your guide and father. If you haven't repented of your sins and asked Jesus, who died for your sins on the cross, for forgiveness and received the holy spirit, you are not saved. You don't have to do rituals and baptize babies to be saved. You have to repent and turn from your sins and put your faith in Jesus who isbthe only way to salvation and reuniting with our creator. He will be your king and you his loving servant. Look into who God is for yourself. You only need the Bible. I love you but I tell you the truth. Trust in Jesus. We are saved unto good works which God hath before ordained that we "should" walk in them.
We are indeed saved for good works, not by them, or kept saved by them, and most importantly neither can they prove our salvation.

I (A Reformed Baptist) have been reading through the Catholic Catechism. And salvation as far as the Catechism is concerned, resides both salvation by faith through grace as well as works such as the Eucharist and baptism. I believe that we are saved by faith alone and then our faith will produce works. The whole reason why Protestantism exists is because Martin Luther saw the flaw in the Catholics view of works being required for salvation. Now true faith will produce fruit and works, and that is how you can see who is a fellow brother or sister. But there is absolutely nothing that we can do to work our way into salvation. It is only by grace through faith. Not by our own hands so that no one may boast

So i see many catholics in the comments saying “we don’t pray to saints, we just ask them to intercede for us”, the problem with that is that the bible says that Jesus is our only intermediary with God. along with that, every christian is a saint, canonized saints are not biblical. rome has said that canonized saints are people who are no longer in purgatory, but purgatory is also not biblical and the verse that many use as evidence for purgatory is that christian’s works will be judged, not the christian, but what they have done. Jesus says over and over that we will be rewarded in heaven for the good we have done, not that we’re justified by what we do. we are justified by the perfect atonement in jesus’ death and resurrection, we are justified by faith in him so none of us can boast about how good we are. our works will be judged and we will either be rewarded for them, or they will be burnt up. the bible says that our works will be thrown into a crucible, so the idea is like refining metal, iron ore is thrown into a furnace, the bad stuff is cooked out and goes away, the good stuff, the iron, stays and that is what is used. if anyone would like to ask me questions about what i think about catholic doctrine or anything about christ, i’d love to give my view. i’ve been going through a hard time lately, a kid i go to school with unfortunately is no longer with us so if y’all would pray for that situation, i’d be very grateful.

I grew up in a Catholic church. Here's my take:
Catholicism and Christianity are not separate per say. Catholicism is a Christian religion because it is based in Christian priciples. However, whether an individual Catholic is truly Christian or not depends on how he or she practices the faith. Ultimately, it depends on his or her relationship with God, which is the case for everyone.
My immediate family and I, for instance, never pray to nor ask for intercession from saints or Mary, but I have other family members who do. It's like a divide within a division, if you know what I mean. Subreligions, in themselves, divide people of the same faith, but I digress.
In a nutshell, only SOME Catholics do things that are against scripture. It's confusing, I know. That is why I personally don't identify as Catholic anymore, or with any subreligion. I'm not a religious person. I am just Christian--a child and servant of God and follower of Christ first and foremost.

Here are a few thoughts and explanations of Catholicism of mine!
#1- CATHOLICS ARE CHRISTIANS. I really try not to anger, per the Bible, but seeing this title almost made me a bit mad. Catholics were the first Christians. The Catholic Church was directly created from the disciples. The thing that unites us all is that we are Christian. We believe Jesus is our savior! (And I'm pretty sure we all listen to the same music- anyone down to jam to some Hillsong? Elevation? Chris Tomlin? I'm listening to "Way Maker" right now)
#2- We do not worship saints. We ask them as we ask friends, to pray for us. Because those people were/are quite devout and have special relationships with God, they can help us with our prayers and can strengthen them. They are role models. We all strive to be like Jesus, but he didn’t sin. The saints are people that have sinned but led very holy lives obeying God. My confirmed saint is St. Elizabeth Anne Seton. She was a Catholic in the US during the time Catholics were basically social rejects. She converted to Catholicism even though she knew all her family would disown her. She then taught children all about the teachings of Christ and started the first Catholic school. I admire that courage of hers. I ask her to pray for me and I find inspiration in her story! Those are the way we use saints. We don’t worship them, we don’t think they are all-knowing or even any sacred person. We just find inspiration through them, and ultimately they strengthen our relationship with Christ. And miracles are our proof this can help us!
#3- Mary is extremely blessed. We believe she was risen into heaven and has no sin!!! We do not worship her the same way as we do God, but we recognize her sacredness and treat her as our holy mother, praying to her for help and strength because she is holy. A person with no sin who was chosen by God to birth his only son, who then was risen up into heaven sounds like something we can pray to and somewhat worship. By all means, we only worship one God. We just know Mary is sacred. Now is there much biblical information on her assumption? No. There are a few things in there, but it is really what the church teaches, however, I believe this. There really is not much information on Mary after Jesus’ death. I believe in the Assumption of Mary because of how early it was taught! We have apostles accounts on things that support the fact that Mary was risen up into heaven and this was the earliest teaching. All of a sudden protestants decided that since it isn’t directly in the Bible it isn’t viable. We have a few things in Catholicism that is not directly in the Bible but have been taught all the way from the apostles to us now. We believe these because we believe the apostles. And miracles, again are our proof!
#4- The Apostles/Disciples are all saints (except for Judas) so we can ask them to pray for us the way we ask all the other saints to pray for us. (Again... Miracles!)
#5- We go to mass in fancier clothing to show respect for the Lord, some women veil to do the same thing. (I don't yet but have started to want to!) Within Catholicism and churches, the way people dress varies vastly. I think it is really a thing where it is important to dress how you like. If you want to dress casually because you don't think it matters? Go for it! If you want to dress fancier because you want to show respect? Go for it also! Personally, dressing fancier helps me take church a bit more seriously.
#6- As a Catholic, I take the word of God (the Bible) very seriously. This wasn't directly stated in your video but, I feel like lots of people don't think Catholics take the bible as seriously as Protestants do. In fact, when my progressive catholic mother found out I did bible study quite a lot and took the bible really seriously she was surprised. She said something about Catholics not doing that. Ultimately that's just not true! The bible is so hugely important in Catholicism. It is the truth and should pave the way you live your life. #7- Catholic's views about eternal life are quite complicated. Ultimately, we are taught that we will be in heaven by believing in The Lord, we just have to be mindful of sinful behaviors. Being modest, kind, loving, prayerful, and faithful, sinners will put us on the path to heaven. I am not going to go into purgatory but basically, we believe that is a chance to redeem yourself when you haven't lived a good life. It is hope for people who would otherwise go to hell!
Please feel free to ask me any questions and we can debate some things in the comments if anyone would like! I would love to hear some of y'all's thoughts on what I wrote! :)
I'm sorry this is so long, I feel like a lot of people can have misinformation on catholicism and so I want to educate people before another Catholic joins the club of being called a devil worshiper!
At the end of the day, let's all love each other, that's all I can say. Catholics and Protestants have a special connection! We are all believers in Christ and Brothers and Sisters through him.

      1. Catholics were not the first Christians. Christian simply means follower of Christ so the apostles, Mary Magdalene, etc. Were all Christians. Christ had many followers (Christians) while he was still on this earth long before the Catholic religion was formed.
      2. I hear this all the time. "We do not pray to/worship the saints we just ask them to intervene like we would a friend. Ok so asking a loved one who believed in Jesus and passed on (such as a granparent or friend) to intervene on your behalf should be the same as praying for intervention from a "canonized saint" right? In fact wouldn't that make more sense as they knew you personally or are u saying God somehow listens to "canonized saints" more because of their works? You pray in hopes that he will heed your request more by using the "saints'" works as a proxy? If so where are u getting this idea?
      3. Where does the Bible say Mary was without sin?! The whole purpose for Jesus/God to come down to earth to die for our sins is because NO ONE was/is without sin, NO ONE. Therefore no one was a suitable sacrifice. If Mary was without sin why not have her do what Jesus came to do? Do you see Mary as God?
      4. The Bible calls all born again Christians saints. Why listen to one Saint over another? What are the rules according to the Catholics and why do they conflict with the Bible?
      5. I do not care one way or another about dress.
      6. I think there are a few reasons people don't believe Catholics take the Bible seriously, chiefly, all the ways in which many Catholic traditions directly conflict with the Bible.
      7. The Bible is very clear (specifically the New Testament) about eternal life.
Sadly, the more I learn about the Catholicism the less it resembles what I read in the Bible.

I no longer consider myself Catholic and am more of a non-denominational christian. But what I still agree with, is that other christians can be so harsh towards catholics. It’s not necessary or helpful. If you had wrote that comment a year ago, I would have had a whole defense prepared. No beliefs of mine would have been changed, my views on protestants would have just gotten worse. @dannyplas 11 thank you for testifying as you know firsthand. Speaking to anyone dead is unscriptural. But that is the main difference in Catholics vs Christians. Catholics look to a priesthood that doesn’t exist in scripture whereas Christians look to Scripture and the SPIRIT of CHRIST. Scripture bears out that the saints who died are asleep and awaiting the resurrection when they will come out of the graves. That is why Christians pray to GOD, the Father in the NAME of His only begotten *SON* JESUS CHRIST who died but was resurrected on the third day and who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of GOD; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him.

P.S. and that doesn’t mean there is a “trinity” a word and concept not found in scripture but is a doctrine that denies the SON -the foundation of catholic dogma. Whereas the foundation of Christian doctrine is the Revelation the Father of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST gave to Peter. The revelation of who JESUS is -The CHRIST, The SON of The Living GOD.

(John 1:1-4) Who was the Word with? The Word was in harmony with the Father and the Holy Spirit. That means the Word was not the Father, but is of the same essence. No, the word Trinity isn’t mentioned in the Bible itself, but it’s biblically supported. This does not deny the oneness of God.

I’ve always been a Catholic and recently I’ve been really confused about whether or not Christianity or Catholicism is the true religion and I’ve learned that religion doesn’t define your relationship with God. I like to think that as long as you know Gods word and your purpose here with him that religion doesn’t matter, what matters is the relationship you share with God it doesn’t make any difference whether or not your Catholic or Christian. But I do identify as a Catholic but that doesn’t change the relationship I have with God. Personally I feel society has taken the whole thing too far and distracted us from what really matters. Most of us are arguing about how the other is wrong and deceitful but in reality “correcting” someone for their practices and how it’s “wrong” isn’t going to guarantee their salvation because they are equally as wrong as what they think is opposing God. That may not make any sense but yet again not everything does. Awesome video Alex! Amen 🙏

You cannot be a Christian if you are Catholic since it is impossible to be both. Since we are in the Passover I thought that I would write a little something that will expose just some of the fallacies that are taught by this evil pagan cult known as Catholicism.
First let’s start with the Last Supper and Good Friday. Allow me to show you in scripture how it would be impossible for Jesus to have been crucified on a Friday as this pagan religion teaches. This will also then prove that the Last Supper actually occurred on Wednesday night and not on Thursday as they also believe.
“For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:40‬ NKJV
First, understand that God commanded us to always celebrate His Passover and that there was a time when the Jews actually stopped celebrating Passover. (See 2 Kings 23:21.)
Now understand that the Jewish day ended once it became dark and not at midnight as we are accustomed to. So if you read 2 Chronicles 30 and 35 you will see where Hezekiah and Josiah reinstated the Passover but they now had the Jews celebrate it at the temple instead of at their homes. So once again the Jewish people actually changed God’s command and they actually instituted two Passovers. One was done at their home at the beginning of Nisan 14 on the Jewish calendar and the other was performed at the end of Nisan 14 at the temple.
So as the sun went down and it started to turn dark on Wednesday Nisan 13 which was now the beginning of Nisan 14, Jesus had His last supper with the apostles. Jesus was then crucified on Thursday Nisan 14 at 9 in the morning and He then died at 3 in the afternoon. Take note that this is around the same time that the Jews would have started to slaughter the lambs that were needed in order to celebrate the Passover at the temple. His death and sacrifice on this day and time explains why Jesus was known as the Lamb of God who was sacrificed for our sins. Now after His death, Jesus was then taken down from the cross and was then buried on that Thursday just before sundown. So in order to fulfill the Matthew 12 scripture above here is the order of your three days and three nights.
      Thursday Night #1
      Friday Morning #1
      Friday Night #2
      Saturday Morning #2
      Saturday Night #3
      Sunday Morning #3
So you see that it would be impossible for scripture to be fulfilled if Jesus was crucified on a Friday as this false religion teaches. So please understand that anyone who belongs to this religion is simply a lost and deceived soul who is now following the same pagan Roman Empire that crucified our Savior Jesus Christ.
Now to awaken you a little bit more about this Roman pagan religion. This cult likes to claim that Peter was their first pope and I will show you once again how that is nothing more then total nonsense. Peter died around 70 AD and Emperor Constantine did not start this religion until around 313 AD. Plus the papacy of this religious cult was not formed until 538 AD. So this alone would prove that Peter had nothing at all to do with pagan cult and it would have been impossible for him to be their first pope.
Next, this religious cult likes to use this Matthew 16 scripture below as the basics for this above reasoning since they claim that Peter is the rock that the one true church of God was built upon. This again is nothing more then utter nonsense.
“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“On this rock” in not talking about Peter at all for it is referring to Jesus since Christ is our rock. “All ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.”
      ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭10:3-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
And to prove even further that Peter was not the Rock that the Church of the devil was built upon, notice how over and over in scripture we are told that God is our rock.
"I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.”
      ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32:3-4‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“They abandoned the God who made them and rejected the Rock their Savior. They made him jealous with their foreign gods and angered him with their detestable idols. They sacrificed to false gods, which are not God- gods they had not known, gods that recently appeared, gods your ancestors did not fear. You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth.”
      ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32:15-18‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.”
      ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?”
      ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭22:32‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
      ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭18:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.”
      ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭19:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“I say to God my Rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?”
      ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭42:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”
      ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭62:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬
“They remembered that God was their Rock, that God Most High was their Redeemer.”
      ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭78:35‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
      ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭92:14-15‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬
“Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”
      ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭95:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“You have forgotten God your Savior; you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress."
      ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭17:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“And you will sing as on the night you celebrate a holy festival; your hearts will rejoice as when people playing pipes go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the Rock of Israel.”
      ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭30:29‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.”
      ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“LORD, are you not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, you will never die. You, LORD, have appointed them to execute judgment; you, my Rock, have ordained them to punish.”
      ‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:24-27‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“As it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:33‬ ‭NIV‬‬
So I will now close with a couple of things that you really might want to consider! If the high priest of the Roman Empire carried the title Pontifex Maximus, why is it that the pope still carries this same exact title? And if the Catholic Religion was the one true Church of God, why did they get the Last Supper and the Crucifixion days wrong and why is Catholicism never mentioned in scripture. I could go on and on about all their other false teachings like praying the rosary, how they worship Mary, angels and their saints or confessing their sins to their priests, but I will end the subject here since I am hoping that deep down inside, you will truly know the answer to all of these questions!
“Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.””
      ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22:8-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Stand up; I myself am also a man.”
      ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:25-26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I never said that Catholics are Christians at all in this comment, but that is a good point. Although I appreciate your explanation on your stance, I do think that Catholics are Christians because we share similar practices and scripture. (we believe in God & Jesus, we share the same scripture, and believe in Revelations) But that does not mean Christians have the same practices as us. Also, instead of balantly disrespecting a religion you should take note that it isn’t rightful judgement because if you had read my comment you probably would’ve noticed that religion is just a place where you can practice your beliefs with other people and relate while making that relationship with God stronger. I know my religion and you know yours, so I would much rather you go about your day without spreading lies and myths about my practices as a Catholic. You, as someone who seems to understand and know a lot about God, you should already know that all religion is manmade and false so no matter what you think is true that it actually isn’t and it doesn’t matter what religion you are in because the relationship with God is what actually is important not a religion you call the truth. John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” God chose, anointed, and blessed many people in the Bible to carry out miracles for his will to be done. Yes it was a miracle for a virgin to give birth to the son of God. It was also a miracle for God to make Joseph the second in command in all of Egypt after being a slave and imprisoned in the book of Genesis. This led to him being able to save is family from starvation. Most importantly it saved his brother Judah from starvation. Since Jesus is from Judahs blood line, Judah needed to live so Jesus could be born. God has done so much just for the coming of Jesus so that we could be made right with god again. Your devotion to the Blessed Mother as you say is idolatry. This contradicts the Bible and what Jesus said for us to do. This is a very serious sin in Gods eyes. There are sadly a lot of religious Christians but Christianity is not a religion, it’s a way of life. We were all born in sin, and everyone of us needs a savory. After Jesus’s resurrection he sent a helper in the form of the Holy Spirit. We don’t need to go through Marry or anyone/anything else to get to Jesus. If we did then what was the point of Jesus dying for our sins?

Oh well… thinking catholics dont know the gospel… of course they do, the ones who live their faith of course. Search a little and you will see that th church must not be separated from the one founded by Jesus by saying “im with paul, peter, apolo or (even) Jesus”
A church that afirms to preach Jesus isnt enough. We need to be one. I believe that Jesus speaks truly when he says that will build his church, so there is no way he lets peter sink

He said **strive to enter through the *strait* gate for broad is way leading to destruction and *many* enter there but *narrow* is the way leading to everlasting life and *few* there be that find it. Look for JESUS in scripture and beware of “religious” crowds of people for when 2 or more gather in His Name, there He is in the midst of them. JESUS warned, “Let no man deceive you.” Follow JESUS.

Also we do no believe we have to do works to get to heaven but we believe that if you open your heart to him you are saved!

      Wrong!
Most believers are blinded to God’s truth and they do not understand that sickness comes from sin and the devil. So if you currently have an affliction or you can get sick then you clearly are someone who still lives in sin and you certainly are not a Christian. You may foolishly believe otherwise but you are definitely wrong since your sin and sickness is certainly proving that you are a deceived believer who lacks knowledge of scripture. You are unaware of the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind and so you never learned how to overcome sin and sickness in this earthly life.
I am a sanctified disciple of Jesus Christ who can no longer sin nor can I ever get sick and Jesus has given me wisdom about scripture that very very few will ever possess. So I will warn you not to challenge what I am relating since if you disagree then you will be denying truth and you will blaspheme the Spirit with your lies.
Realize that there is not even one scripture where God ever stated that a person who possesses sin and sickness in their life is His child so if you can still sin and you can still get sick then you definitely are not a child of God. There are scriptures though that do relate that if you have afflictions then you are a sinner who does not know God and if you sin then you are of the devil.
Only a small amount of believers truly understand God and scripture and this is why scripture relates that only a remnant will be saved since most believers are completely deceived in their beliefs and they are destined to perish in their sin and their ignorance of truth. Most do not even understand the difference between a Believer, a Disciple, a Christian and a Apostle and so I will now explain.
“Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, The remnant will be saved.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
      ‭‭I Peter‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
When you first repent of your sins and you accept Jesus into your life you are now a believer but you are still deceived and ignorant about scripture since you have never been sanctified in truth by the Holy Spirit. This is why a believer will still possesses sin and sickness in their life since they still lack knowledge in the word of God.
Once a believer accepts Jesus into their life they were then commanded to surrender their will to the Holy Spirit so that they may allow the Spirt to teach them how to stop sinning. This purification process is called sanctification and it can only be achieved by understanding how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4. Sanctification takes years and it requires our faith, patience, suffering and endurance since the Holy Spirit teaches us how to overcome our sins. Once we learn how to overcome our sins we now have overcome our sicknesses since afflictions come from sin and the devil. Sadly the vast majority of believers never allow this process to occur since they are deceived in their beliefs and so they remain in their sin and their ignorance their entire lives. Others will actually fall away during the sanctification process just as Judas certainly did and Jesus relates these various believers in the parable of the sower in Luke 8:11-15. Not many believers actually make it through God’s sanctification process and this is why it is referred to as the narrow gate.
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
If a believer does surrender their will to God’s purification process they now become a disciple since they are now learning scripture directly from Jesus Himself. Jesus will now teach His disciple how to live just as He did since He now dwells inside His true children. A disciple means “a student who learns from his teacher.” This is why scripture relates that Jesus is our one and only teacher and this is also why the vast majority of religions and preachers are nothing more then false prophets who are only leading believers astray.
It is during the sanctification process that the Holy Spirit teaches us how to live Holy and righteously just as God commanded and He does this by showing us how to overcome our sins. Sanctification is similar to what Jesus endured in the wilderness for 40 days since the Spirit has us confront the devil’s temptations head on. If you end up completing God’s purification process you then become sanctified in truth and you are now a Christian since you are now a sanctified disciple of Jesus Christ who can no longer sin and this is when you are actually born again. A born of God Christian is someone who lives “exactly like Christ,” and this is how the term Christian came about since the original disciples lived exactly like Christ.
Most believers do not realize that Jesus had to train his twelve chosen disciples for three years before they became His apostles. An apostle means someone who is sent, a messenger. Many overlook the prayer that Jesus made for His disciples in John 17:6-19 where He asked His Father to sanctify His disciples in truth. So the disciples had to be sanctified in truth before Jesus could use them as His apostles, His messengers. So an apostle is someone who is a messenger from God and they possess the power of God to prove their anointment.
Realize that God did not instruct us or command us to explain scripture to anyone but yet most are foolishly believing that it is their duty to try and lead others to Jesus. Many deceived believers do not understand that the Great Commission was for God’s chosen disciples who were trained by Jesus and who were sanctified in God’s truth. It was not meant for every believer of Jesus Christ to teach and that is simply a lie that is being fabricated by the devil’s many false ministers.
You might now begin to understand why the majority of believers are nothing more then children of the devil since they are ignorantly blaspheming the Spirit of truth when they willingly relate their misguided beliefs. These ignorant souls were never taught scripture by Jesus nor did they allow Jesus to sanctify their heart in God’s truth. So they are simply spreading their lies about scripture and they are condemning themselves by leading others into sin.
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:6-7‬ ‭NKJV‬
“My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.”
      ‭‭James‬ ‭3:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Many believers are ignorantly believing that Jesus came to forgive our past, present and future sins. This spoken untruth is having people believe that they can continue in a life of sin and then simply repent and God will forgive them over and over. This is why many believe that if they repent just before they die then Jesus will save their sinful soul. This twisted reasoning would mean that you can continue to steal and then simply repent. You can then lie and then repent. You can then murder and simply repent. You can keep committing whatever sin you desire and simply repent afterwards and you will always be forgiven. This is simply nonsense that is fabricated by the devil to make you believe that you will always sin.
Jesus came to call sinners to repentance since we are all born in sin. This meant for us to stop sinning entirely and to start living holy and righteously just as God commanded. Jesus came to forgive us of the sins that we have already committed and this occurs at the moment that we repent of our sins and we accept Jesus and His Holy Spirit into our life. Once we receive His Holy Spirit we were then commanded to surrender our will to God so that we would allow the Holy Spirit to sanctify our heart in God’s truth. As I stated before, this can only be achieved by understanding how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4.
So a Christian is someone who is sanctified in truth and they can easily discern a true Christian from a deceived believer in seconds since they now possess the mind of Christ and they are able to judge everyone and everything. They can no longer sin nor can they ever get sick since they are now born of God and the devil can no longer touch them with sickness or disabilities.
“These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”
      ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭2:13-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NKJV
I know all of these things first hand since I have gone through God’s purification process and I have overcome sin and sickness in my life and this is why God has me relating His blessings in my writings and in my videos.

@@thederpyunicorn306 Your foolish soul can still sin and you can still get sick and you have no idea what that means or what scripture is even relating so allow me to give you a little scripture lesson.
Jesus did not sin nor did Jesus ever get sick and if you were someone who allowed His Holy Spirit to guide you in your life and you were His child then it would be impossible for you to sin or to get sick either. So if you are claiming to be a Christian who possesses the Holy Spirit of Jesus and you are His child then how is it that you can still sin and you can still get sick? Care to prove your misguided beliefs with scripture since I can certainly prove that anyone who sins belongs to the devil and will face condemnation and those of us who are born of God can no longer sin.
“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”

“Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
      ‭‭I Peter‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Where will the ungodly and those who sin appear well in hell of course since only those who overcome their sins and who live righteously will be saved.
Everyone is born in sin and this is why we need the Holy Spirit of our Savior Jesus Christ to teach us how to stop sinning. A Christian is someone who lives exactly as Jesus did and once again Jesus did not sin nor did Jesus ever get sick. So you certainly just proved that you an unbeliever and a liar and you definitely are not a Christian who possesses God’s Holy Spirit. You are just one of the many fake Christians who have been deceived by the devil and you are being guided by a demon spirit and not the Holy Spirit.
This is the difference between a believer who is a Christian and a believer who is deceived. A deceived believer thinks that they will always sin and they will always have sickness in their life. A Christian knows they can never sin nor can they ever get sick since they are living their life exactly “like Christ.” through the Holy Spirit of Jesus.
So you certainly are no different then the many other fools that I encounter here on the internet. You simply like to spout your lies and nonsense but yet you have nothing important to say nor can you even back up your lies. So where are your scriptures that can prove that what I am relating is wrong? Back up your lies and your foolish beliefs with scripture! Give me a scripture verse that relates that a sinner belongs to God or that a sinner is a child of God. I know that you can look all you like but you certainly will not find any. So I have now put you on the spot child of Satan.
So if you foolishly believe that you can be a sinner and also be a child of God then provide the scripture that backs up your lies. Where does scripture ever relate that nonsense? I know that you now only have three choices and the first is to admit that you are wrong. The second is to not respond at all. The third is to try and justify yourself by adding or twisting the word of God which will then condemn your ignorant soul.
“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Hey alex! I really like your videos, unfortunately this one presents your opinion which is not true to the truth about Catholicism
    1. The title itself is harmful. Catholicism is a religion that comes straight from the apostles and Jesus. There is the so-called apostolic succession, because the rites, the Sacraments instituted by Jesus, are continued in the Catholic Church in a straight line for 2,000 years. It was only Martin Luther and others who decided to separate themselves from this Church, which is why it is more of a people's religion. So Catholics are the oldest Christians, so the title should be Catholics vs Protestants, or Christians vs Protestants
    2. Prayer for the intercession of the saints and the cult of Mary is the domain of every ancient Christian church descended from the apostles. In Rev 5: 8 and Rev 8: 3-4 they indicate that prayers addressed to God are offered through angels and saints. In the book of Luke, we clearly see that Mary will be blessed for all generations
    3. No Catholic believes that we can earn salvation somehow, it's just your opinion. In John 2: 14-26 we see that faith without fighting sin and works of mercy is dead. But we are saved by Jesus' faith and love, not by our merits. Heaven cannot be deserved, no one can, but our deeds show our life by faith. By work, Catholics mean Jesus' command to fight sin and works of mercy, do not say that it is not biblical. Faith without these things is dead, but it is not our efforts that save us but the grace of Jesus
    4. No Catholic believes that dressing or going to church on Sunday will save him
    5. Please check who composed the texts of the Bible we have now, checking which texts are inspired or not, Catholics or Protestants?
    6. ALL Catholic dogmas have a biblical basis, about purgatory, the intercession of the saints or the blessing of Mary

    • @katien3022
      @katien3022 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Great clarifications!! One thing though is that although dressing up is not the end all be all of our entry to heaven, Catholics must take attending mass every Sunday seriously. It should not be missed except in an emergency. For many Christian non denomination churches, their Sunday is just a service. It is not sacred in the way that a Catholic Church has the sacrament of holy communion where we receive Jesus in the flesh. So of course to them missing an occasional Sunday is not a big deal because it is just a more community style prayer and worship. But Sunday mass in a Catholic Church is where we receive Christ along with giving our worship to him. Idk that’s not a perfect explanation but I did want to highlight that Catholic teaching is that Sunday mass and holy days of obligation are not to be missed or brushed off

@Jay-ne9mv The works vs faith debate is a non-starter. Catholics do not and never have believed that we are saved by works alone. Catholics believe that we are saved by Jesus’s atonement at his crucifixion because by our acceptance of his sacrifice as gift and his mercy and forgiveness that we humbly trust in. Our works are indicative of our faith. The biblical support of this belief is both in the book of James and elsewhere. The whole faith vs work’s accusation is a red herring promulgated to create division between protestants and Catholics as is happening right now by your efforts in this comments section. Catholicism looks to both Faith and Reason, and Scripture and Tradition to inform our understanding and living out of our faith in God. One big ‘Tradition’ in the Catholic Faith is the Bible. We have the Bible because of catholics who by “faith” “worked” hard to compile it and decide on what books would be in it.

1st. Mother Mary is the Queen of virgins or otherwise known as the Blessed Virgin mary. She was born a virgin and ascended into Heaven as a virgin. Jesus is the word incarmate, therfore Mother Mary never had sex and Jesus was conceived in Mary's womb when she said "I am the handmaid of the Lord, let it be done to me according to thy will."
2nd. Catholics dress up fancy(suits and dresses) and modestly(women cover our head with a veil and wear modest dresses/skirts) everytime we go to mass out of the utmost reverence for our lord Jesus Christ. People dress up to go to weddings or parties or to visit the President. God is our creator and is infinitely more worthy of our efforts. Therefore we dress up to go to his house to show we respect him so much, we view him as better than all else in the world.
3rd. Catholics believe that we live forever. We don't just die and our every being just disappears. If God judges you to be right, and you are allowed into Heaven, you live forever with him. If not you live for eternity in Hell. The saints are fully alive because they are in heaven. Which we have proof through their miracles that occur to humans on earth through their intercession or their dead body. That why so many catholic saint's dead bodies do not decay. Because the lord sees them so holy, he sllows their human bodies not corrupt and uses them as a tool to convert more sinners. Take example of St. Padre Pio or st. Bernadette or st. Vincent de Paul. Look them up, they bodues look like they are sleeping even though they "died" centuries ago.
4th. We do not pray to the saints. But we ask the saints who are in heaven(which we know because of all the miracles that occur after their death through them) to pray for intention. For when we are in heaven, we are made perfect and our fallen side is no longer there and our souls are very close to God in heaven. So when a soul in heaven prays, it is 1000 times stronger than our prayers on earth because they are in union with our lord.
5th. Jesus christ did die for our sins ans to allow us to go to heaven only because before his death, we were to be damned by any sin we comitted. He died so that our sins can be forgiven when we go to confession with a priest or receive the holy communion, which is where he is to wash away our sins. You must not die in the state of a mortal sin otherwise you are damned to hell. Jesus gave this gift of forgiving our sins to the disciples when he breathed into them. Jesus made it POSSIBLE for our sins to be forgiven, but it is up to us, if we want to go to confession and be forgiven.
6th. We will be judged before our lord after our human body dies. He will show us all the sins we have committed and determine whether or not we are pure and holy enough to enter heaven. If not, you shall go to hell. For this, we ask mother mary to pray for us because during your trail, she has been granted the grace to interced for us and ask her beloved son to have mercy on our poor souls and allow us into heaven. Mother mary is everyone's mother, that is why you shall give her the reverence she deverves and do not treat her like just a regular human sinner. Mother mary was born sinless and left the earth sinless. She was crowned queen of heaven and earth.
Finally. There are thousands of miracles that occur through the saints and mother mary. And so many events of Jesus Christ, Mother mary, and father Joseph appearing to saints and people asking for prayers and repentance and sacrifices for people who do not know our lord to convert to the catholic faith. Look up "Our lady of Fatima" or "Divine mercy st. Faustina". Jesus and Mother Mary appears to us and tells us to help convert other to Catholicism. So many miracles occurred through those events. Like the sun dancing in the sky. Or Mother Mary telling us what will happen in the future because her son Jesus told her.
Also, the baptist and lutherans and all the evengelical Christians were created by heretical leaders who no longer wanted to do God's will, but their own. Don't you wonder why the devil hates Catholicism the most? Its the one true faith that Jesus christ made himself. In a recent publicized excorcism, a devil told the excorcist preist that any religion that is not Catholicism is worshiping the devil, regardless if the worshipper knows it or not. This is why Catholics always pray the Divine mercy chaplet, because Jesus said the prayer will help souls be saved into heaven because their are so many that will be lost to hell.
The starter of the baptist church was a priest who was very prideful and left and married a runaway nun. He betrayed our lord. There are many devils during excorcisms that laugh at Baptists because baptists dont realize they are lost. Please come back to the catholic faith. God has infinite mercy on his children. It is never too late. God bless you and may mother mary pray for you.

I know you love truth, that’s why you’re a follower of Jesus, and Jesus left us a church and magisterium(the apóstoles), not a Bible(the Catholic Church compiled the Bible canon , new and Old Testament in 397 AD. the apostles taught by what they heard and learned from Jesus, not by what he wrote. 2 Thessalonians 2:15

Catholics don't believe that we earn our way into heaven by good works, This is what Protestants don't understand. And you're right, the sheep and the goat were not separated by their faith but by their deeds, we shouldn't forget that.
As James said about Religion ( which is different from the new trendy speech against religion ) "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
As Dr Brant Pitre says :
The word "religion" (Greek ; Latin religio) occurs only four times in the entire New Testament. Once it is used to refer to the religion of Israel (Acts 26:5), once to refer to the (illicit) worship of angels (Col 2:18), and twice to the practice of the Christian faith (James 1:26-27). What did the term word "religion" mean in the first century A.D. ? And to what does it refer here in James?
What did the term word "religion" mean in the first century A.D.? And to what does it refer here in James?
If we look carefully at ancient parallels, we will discover that the Greek word for "religion" (Greek) was used to refer to expressions of devotion to God (or the gods) primarily through acts of worship expressed in various cultic rites.
The word could be used to describe worship in Judaism (Philo, Special Laws 1.315, Josephus, Antiquities 1.222: 12., 253, 271), paganism (Dionysius of Halicarnassus 2.23), and early Christianity (1 Clement 62:1: Letter to Diognetus 3:2). In light of these parallels, James seems to be criticizing Christians who engage in the liturgical acts of worship directed toward God *but who neglect acts of charity directed toward love of neighbor, such as care for widows, orphans, and the poor* (James 1:26-27)."

as a Catholic, I would like to cofirm that we do not pray to Mary or the saints. We believe that Mary was concieved without sin, which is why we honour her. we ask for her intercession, and ask her aswell as the saints to pray for us. As Christians, we all believe that we live eternally in Heaven, which is why we can pray to Mary and saints for them to pray for us. Also, Catholocism fits under Christianity- a better comparison would be Catholicsm vs. Protestantism. you were very respectful though and I think you did a good job explaining these differences so thanks!

Only God can hear you, or the spirits (demons) that are on earth. If you try to communicate to Mary - and you feel like someone answers. I would be concerned, because what answered you may be a demon. We only pray to Jesus- God- Holly Spirit. God is The creator of ourselves. He is the one to be praised and worshipped, He is jealous God!

He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. Thank you for this video. Since Christians don't believe in work-based salvation, some of us use it as an excuse to sin as often as we want, and just ask God for forgiveness later. I think everyone needs to look honestly in their hearts, and ask God to show his desire for our lives.

No Christian who has been 'born again ' of God , and therefore possess His holy spirit, would want to sin, and use excuses.
A born again Christian is convicted by the Holy spirit.
He wants to do good works because the holy sprit inspires him.
But yes, everyone needs to look honestly in their hearts, and ask for God to show us his desire for our lives, and if you are born again it will be a request of how He wants us to work for Him.

When we see those statues, we think of it like a picture of your late family or friend, you miss them, right? Yes, it's kinda the same only that we tend to remember their stories, you know, the ones that made them stand out to be called saints? Also kinda like someone who delivers a testimony, we as Christians tend to celebrate their stories like "I used to do this and this but ever since I met Jesus, my life changed" we remember the people by their testimonies and as Christians it's very inspiring and I don't know how to explain the feeling but yea we also remember that God is gracious. Ephesians 2, verse 10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

      Hi Joseph :
The basis of Christianity is belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
The classic verse which shows us the real meaning and purpose of God for us is John 3 : 16
"For God so loved the world, that he sent his only begotten son, Jesus, that whoever believes on him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life "
Jesus Christ said "I am the way and the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me "
      John 14 : 6
These passages are the real basis of what Christianity really is.
Belief in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour (salvation from hell, because our sins were taken away by him, on the cross,
and a eternal life in Heaven)
This is the wonderful promise of God.
Come to Jesus for salvation and live for Christ.

I prayed the prayers in Ephesians 1:16-23 and Ephesians 3:14-21 for myself six months straight each morning. The revelation and spiritual growth as a result brought miracles to my life and others.
Yvonne was blind, mute and paralyzed. Led of the Holy Spirit I (and others) broke the power of the devil over her. Although she was in the hospital for months, she was sent home normal. I can go on and on about the miracles I have seen, but 99% of Churches teach that it is not for us today. An angel spoke to me in an audible voice about my mother who was about to have a pacemaker implant. She was so weak that she could only walk 20 feet in 10 minutes and was out of breath and had to sit down. We prayed according the Scripture that the angel said and the next day my Mom walked a mile to go get her groceries, completely normal. She never did need a pacemaker. God confirms His word (Mark 16:20).

Many TH-camrs have different opinions so going to the word of God first will help you because his word is consistent and never changing. I read the Bible before going to church and it was nice to see what the churches teach because I know they are teaching exactly what’s in the Bible. Gods true word. The Bible is your best friend. Jesus is your best friend! Welcome! A warning to you is The biggest threat now is spiritual deception. Hold on to God brother and keep seeking him. Read the Bible. Once you find a good church with the help of God the churches are a good support system for your journey in this world and with God.

I guess my thoughts on this are about those who cannot perform works and give their lives to Christ then die immediately afterwards or comes to Christ in prison.
Also the council of Trent seems to be no longer something most catholics hold to which seems confusing to me because if they don’t hold to the council of Trent they seem to be more Protestant than catholic at that point. I also wonder how many good works outweigh each bad work that you’ve done or are you constantly in a net positive because of the faith added to your works. It all seems very confusing and makes me feel like I will never know if God is going to send me to hell or not. That just doesn’t seem like good news to me. But it seems to me like what he did on the cross was defeated sin and defeated death, giving new life to those who call upon the name of Jesus and look upon the cross. That salvation is a free gift and that it is something that need only be received from God seems like the best news I have ever heard and will ever hear in my whole life.
Truly seeking to understand my Catholic-Christian brethren more clearly.

Jesus never once throughout the Bible preached that you are:
      1. Saved by Grace alone
      2. Save by Faith alone
      3. Save by Grace through Faith alone
      4. Saved by your Deeds alone
      5. Once Saved, Always Saved
      6. Salvation is Guaranteed
Salvation is a life long process which is never guaranteed, nor by grace, by faith or by deeds alone. Jesus’ own words confirm this and anyone who preaches scripture that contradicts Jesus’ own words is misinterpreting it or intentionally straying you away from the true faith.
Is it hard to enter God’s Kingdom? Yes!
“This amazed them. But Jesus said again, “Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God.” Mark 10:24
Conditions by which salvation can be achieved directly from Jesus.
      1. “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭
      2. “Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.” John 3:5-7
      3. “Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 18:2-3
      4. “No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.” Luke 13:
      5. “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.”Matthew‬ ‭10:32-33
      6. “So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven-except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven.” Matthew‬ ‭12:31‬
      7. “But I warn you-unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!” Matthew 5:20
      8. “But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.” Luke‬ ‭9:62‬ ‭
      9. “Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I’ll say it again-it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” Matthew‬ ‭19:23-24‬ ‭
      10. “So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.” Matthew 7:19-20
      11. “But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.”Matthew‬ ‭5:22‬
      12. “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew‬ ‭6:14-15‬
      13. “If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine. If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.” Matthew‬ ‭10:37-39‬
      14. “And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.” Matthew‬ ‭12:36-37‬
      15. “But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.” Matthew‬ ‭18:6‬
      16. “So Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you. But anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day.” John‬ ‭6:53-54‬ ‭
Will many fail to enter God’s Kingdom? Yes! Even those who claimed to be Christians & followers of Jesus will fail because they refused to obey his laws & conditions by which salvation would be obtained!
“Someone asked him, “Lord, will only a few be saved?” He replied, “Work hard to enter the narrow door to God’s Kingdom, for many will try to enter but will fail.” Luke 13:23-24
“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬
“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.” Matthew 7:21-23
“Just as the weeds are sorted out and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will remove from his Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. And the angels will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s Kingdom. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!” Matthew‬ ‭13:40-43‬
How do we determine if scripture is being misinterpreted? By simply going back to what Jesus said and letting his words show us the truth. Anyone who continues to preach scripture that contradicts his words should be avoided and exposed as wolfs.
“Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32
Don’t forget, the Devil was an angel and even quoted scripture when he tempted Jesus but it was Jesus’ full understanding of scripture that led him to quote scripture back to the devil in order to reveal God’s truth. This is why scripture (God’s Words) is also important on our journey.
“But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew‬ ‭4:4‬
“Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.” Matthew‬ ‭4:10‬
“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves.” Matthew‬ ‭7:15‬
Did people misinterpret scripture in the past? Yes! Even Jesus had to correct them.
“Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God.” Matthew 22:29
“Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” Matthew‬ ‭9:13‬
Our sin is that we slowly begin to believe the words of others and even the apostles own words over Jesus as they’re distorted to justify a different path to salvation. We stubbornly cling to their words instead of his.
“The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me.” John 16:9

A.D. 151)].
      Actions/Works:
      * “We have learned from the prophets, and we believe it is true, that punishments, and chastisements, and good rewards, are rendered according to the merit of each man's actions. If it is not so, then all things happen by fate, and nothing is in our own power. If it is fated that this man be good, and this other evil, the former is not meritorious nor the latter blameworthy [St. Justin Martyr - First Apology 43 (c. A.D. 151)].
      Apostolic Succession:
      * “It is within the power of all, in every church, who may wish to see the truth, to contemplate clearly the Tradition of the apostles manifested throughout the whole world; and we are in a position to reckon up those who were instituted bishops in the churches by the apostles, and [to demonstrate] the succession of these men to our own times; those who neither taught nor knew anything these [heretics] rave about.” [St. Irenaeus of Lyons - Against Heresies 3:3:1 (c. A.D. 189)]
      Baptism:
      * “The children shall be baptized first. All the children who can answer for themselves, let them answer. If there are any children who cannot answer for themselves, let their parents answer for them, or someone else from their family.” [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 21 (c. A.D. 215)].
      Confession:
      * “After this, one of the bishops present, at the request of all, laying his hand on him who is ordained bishop, shall pray this way: O God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. pour forth the power that is from you, of "the princely Spirit' that you delivered to your beloved Child, Jesus Christ, and that he bestowed on your holy apostles, who established the Church that hallows you everywhere, for the endless glory and praise of your name. Father, "who knows the hearts [of all]” grant this servant, who you have chosen for the episcopate, to feed your holy flock and serve as your high priest blamelessly night and day, and unceasingly turn away wrath from your face and offer to you the gifts of the holy Church. And that by the high priestly Spirit he may have authority "to forgive sins" according to your command.” [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 2-3 (c. A.D. 215)].
      Confirmation:
      * “The bishop will then lay his hand upon them, invoking, "Lord God, you who have made these worthy of the removal of sins through the bath of regeneration, make them worthy to be filled with your Holy Spirit, grant to them your grace, that they might serve you according to your will, for to you is the glory, Father and Son with the Holy Spirit, in the holy Church, now and throughout the ages of the ages. Amen." After this he pours the oil into his hand, and laying his hand on each of their heads, says, "I anoint you with holy oil in God the Father Almighty, and Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit." Then, after sealing each of them on the forehead, he shall give them the kiss of peace and say, "The Lord be with you." And the one who has been baptized shall say, "And with your spirit." So shall he do to each one [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 21-22 (c. A.D. 215).
      Peter’s Authority:
      * “The Lord says to Peter: "I say to you,' he says, “that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will not overcome it. And to you I will give the keys of the kingdom of heaven. [Mt 16:18-19]. On him he builds the Church, and commands him to feed the sheep [Jn 21:17], and although he assigns a like power to all the apostles, yet he founded a single chair [cathedra], and he established by his own authority a source and an intrinsic reason for that unity. Indeed the others were also what Peter was [apostles], but a primacy is given to Peter, by which it is made clear that there is one Church and one chair.... If someone does not hold fast to this unity of Peter, can he think that he holds the faith? If he deserts the chair of Peter upon whom the Church was built, can he be confident that he is in the Church?.” [St. Cyprian of Carthage - Unity of the Catholic Church 4; first edition (Treatise 1:4) (A.D. 251)].
These few topics (but a glimpse) were not only discussed but settled BEFORE Rome adopted Christianity (The Catholic Church) and eventually became The Roman Catholic Church as it also adopted its name after 313 A.D.
Is the Catholic Church Jesus’ original church? Yes!
Does this excuse all its mistakes and sins from the record? Of course not! As Christians, we are called to hold the church accountable, not leave it and let evil flourish within it.
This refusal of accountability within every Christian has led to over 40,000 diferente Christian churches and the ignorance which has flourished from it.
“This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:13-15‬
We are called by God to unite! What better church to do it under than the one he started.

      5- HAJJ
To make the pilgrimage to Mecca, Kaba if you can afford. You become a pilgrim after this visit.

But it wasn’t until recently I want / need to understand the difference and which one is right for me. Like the top comment… we’re all here for Jesus anyways guys!!!
