Angie joining the band has been a huge plus. It is also important to acknowledge that Yuri is great drummer and stage performer. Yuris’ percussion has been quietly getting better and better just like Angie’s vocals that have been improving.
My favorite song showing Angie’s depth is Replica, if you haven’t heard it yet you really need to. Also the live version of I Wish I, she can sound absolutely desperate/frantic when she wants to.
The band have said this is the final formation - hopefully it will last a long time! Angie is always into the emotion of the song, wherever emotion that may be! New single coming out 8th Nov, I hope you check it out (it’s not a ballad!)
Although the song was written by Oreo, Angie's take on it almost certainly is not about a breakup (with a partner) but rather her leaving her home (her Dad died when she was in her teens and I think she didn't get along with her mother). So she is trying to make do with her "new" life and instead of looking back constantly, she's looking forward and while being a bit nostatgic, the reunion will come when it's due. She didn't sing lower compared to the studio versions (this performance was a couple months before the studio recording). She did sing a couple of phrases differently and since this is a hard song to sing, she was at her limit (vocal skill wise). From recent reports, she is now a lot more comfortable with the higher range and sings it effortlessly (still emotional though). Can't wait for your reaction to BakuBaku (the upcoming single) Cheers :)
Ya, semoga ini formasi yang akan terus bertahan. Angie semakin luar biasa, Yuri? Menurut saya juga menawan, sulit menemukan drummer yang juga selalu tersenyum😊
Some context from the band members about the song, how it came about and some insights into their song-writing process: th-cam.com/video/38fSdN3a2Qg/w-d-xo.html
I assume the title is a play on the name of the ubiquitous convenience store Family Mart (which is also the inspiration for the nickname given to FAMI, of Lovebites, who is said to have loved Family Mart as a child). ANGELINA 1/3 delivers amazingly powerful vocals in the video of REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY + THE COME UP CHAPTER, from NAON のYAON 2023.
Also one of my favorites from Vitamin GS. :) Yes, there may be technically far better vocalists out there, but when it comes to expression and feeling, dear Angelina has quickly become one of my favorite ones.... When I think about it, I seem to be a bit "prone" to more melancholic songs in general. This song or 'Alive' by GS, 'Daydreaming' by Band-Maid, 'Life' or 'Game Over' by Nemophila or even 'No Rain, No Rainbow' or 'Monochrome' by Babymetal. 🤔 :) _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. I love Angie as a vocalist; she is so expressive. This incarnation of GS is top tier.

Yes;
Koga + Hana + Tomo-Zo + Oreo = Fantastic 4
Angie + Yuri = Miracle 2
That'S GS now.
Thank you for doing this song again in a different form
As always I loved your commentary and thoughts, thanks both
beautiful ballad.

Great choices - I've requested both :)

Baku Baku? I heard the version Angie played on her radio show and it's a banger!
@@ryan.duckling Yes I listened just once to the radio version and then saving listening again for the official release
