Ado在演唱會說過她想推廣唱見、Vocaloid跟日本文化所以不露臉有一部分也是因為這個原故、但台上絕對是本人
也有一部分是因為他是社恐😂

Until I saw her sing live and actually puts spins in every turn and my goosebumps took over my body. If you ever have the chance to attend one of her concerts, you should do so. It was legendary.

there are quite few reasons as to why Ado keeps her identity secret, but i understand that the name "Ado" comes from a traditional form of Japanese theatre, where an "ado" is, to put it in a way, a secondary character. the reason she picked "ado" as her stage name is because she believes the music is the main character, the focus, and she is just a vessel for the music to flow through. that's, at least, my understanding of it :)
by keeping the anonymity, she keeps the focus on the music and the attention away from herself
She was being bulied for her looks younger and had a weird fan following her I heard. But she's becoming more confident rn

私はまだ日本で5回だけしかライブに参加した事がありませんが、ライブの方が素晴らしいです。みなさんが言ってるように、公式のライブ映像であればUnravelや踊（Odo）唱（Show）をお薦めします。ライブでのうっせぇわやトットムジカ・ウタカタララバイも素晴らしいし、Dignityのホイッスルボイスも最高。

Honestly a compliment for her that it's so hard to believe that it's actually her on stage. Her staff takes her image very seriously on stage, so I do believe it's her on stage

it's not pre recorded either, let her know ado's just capable like that! she's awesome!
You have to understand that these people aren't deep within J-pop artist culture, and most in the West would be foreign to these kinds of practices, as it's seldom done there.
These are people who appear to just be learning this kind of thing and they're really just opened to it. If anything this is the kind of tolerant curiosity that should be encouraged.

Ado is a once in a lifetime talent. She is incredible, can’t wait to see her in Chicago. ❤She is my favorite singer of all time, and without sounding bias she is; in my opinion the best vocalist in the world
Some singers in Japan who began their career path with posting singing online usually do not show their face to fans while having activities online, but after debut most of them have shown their face. Ado just kept to not showing her face, it's a common choice of them
I've been to a couple of her live shows, including this one and the one on stage is NOT a stunt double. This particular show was done while Japan was still in a pretty stringent COVID protocol so we were instructed not to cheer at all during the performance. Thus, during this show she is doing 100% of the singing. But in her post-COVID show she was doing a lot of call and response with the crowd and also shouted towards the crowd without a mic at some points during her MC bits.
Those who have already attended the concerts write: "i was lucky enough to get a spot in her recent world tour, at the FIRST row, right in front of the stage. her lungs are so strong you can hear her actual voice without speakers" (с)

Yeah, she dances live, she's just that cool! I heard an interview with her once where she said that she wished she had more arms so that she could make more interesting shapes with her silhouette since one of them always has to hold the microphone.
I've never until now heard the idea that it's a body double on stage. It's definitely her.

And that’s right, who cares. She is beloved by millions simply for her amazing talent.
A little background on her, the first reason why she didnt show her face was because she debuted when she was 17, and in Japan we censor people not of age for their privacy, its a Japanese thing. One other factor is that she wants her voice to be accepted, not her visuals etc. However, Ado herself has said she dont really mind if people knew how she looks, in an interview with a japanese media. Why she hasnt shown herself yet? What she said was that it was a decision made by her label or company. In Japan the concept isnt really weird to us because Vtubers and avatars are widely used since years ago. Oh and one of the rumors of her identity tracks her back to a certain school for blossoming young idols in Japan, and the program there encompasses intense dancing training as well, and stamina ofcourse, hence some people do find it plausible that she is able to sing while dancing like she does now, and some instance during her live does show she struggling with the song but she just leans into the struggle completely and just makes it herself. That being said, we can never really know unless she discards her silhouette and sings live.
In the film that a fan made about her, there was a piece from an interview where she said that: "now anonymity is part of the image, but maybe I will change my life again..." (c)

The person singing up front is quite definitely Ado herself as she has once stated in her live stream. I was at her New York concert and you could very clearly hear her breathing, the sounds of her moving around, and the slight emotional fluctuations in her voice perfectly matching her movements. Her performance in this video is merely a fraction of her overall capability so I find it believable that she is able to achieve such movements while belting near perfection. If you want to hear some of her more impressive performances I recommend her live performance of Unravel as it really shows her vast extent of vocal range.
Tbh it's pretty obvious that the siloutte it's really her since the kind of poweful difficult songs that she usually manages in her repertory makes very understable why this song and movements are too easy to keep for her, this song literally shows less than 25% what she can do so I'm very excited to watch you react more Ado's songs and look her real potential!!

非常有意思的一件事，老师之前看YOASOBI的时候，说看到人模仿机器唱歌而感到了“希望”，但实际上YOASOBI的ikura自认为她的原点是音乐剧和乡村音乐，最喜欢的歌手是泰勒和YUI，也并没有很刻意去模仿机器的唱法。而Ado才是真的从唱见翻唱文化里成长起来的歌手，她的成长和唱法受到非常多翻唱V曲的唱见们的影响，可以说是在模仿那些模仿机器的人（笑）

From what i remember listening to her interview, was that she used to do vocaloid covers on youtube using a different alias back then she too was hiding her identity as she didn't want her school friends to find out, she used to do covers in her wardrobe. The's one of the main reason why she keeps her identity hidden as she's still following that trait from back then. which is really cool tbh, the sense of mystery of this power house of a singer that everyone knows yet don't know at the same time has an alluring charm to it.
Update: She said in stream she likes to stay hidden cause it makes her feel like those characters in manga who is super super talented/OP but keeps a low profile. See people prising and recommending her music to her without knowing she's the real singer 😂😂

Far as I know, Ado was really on the stage and everyone who seen her face sign NDA and wasn't allowed to bring camera and phone to record or taking her picture.

I think it's her because in the recorded version she does that "oo-ooo-oo-oo" part after the chorus in one breath, but here she has to grab one and you can kind of hear that she's winded
