I can't understand why a so great pianist like Gryaznov is so underrated. His musical intelligence, exquisite taste and high performing skills are absolutely above average.

…and neither Martha Argerich had said any compliment about him as she did with Trifonov. It is a mystery.

As matter of fact in this weird world is not enough the talent or the effort studying and practicing daily, also you have to have a powerful pushing behind you that make you go up in your dreams, they call it luck… I call it be smart and be the architect of your own destiny, look for what you want and plan the way to achieve it…that is it.

A wonderful performance. He brings great music out of the Fazioli, a piano that requires excellent technique to reach its full potential.

Wonderful how you play the E-flat minor with grace not drowned out by banging thunder as nearly everyone plays it.

PS: The Grieg encore was particularly wonderful too. ❤😂🎉

Big thanks for sharing your amazing talents. I especially loved the Rachmaninoff pieces and i think they showed how close you are to them. Even the more familiar pieces like the C-sharp minor Prelude you managed to interpret it differently in the slow section.
Encore, please. (PS: Please do some Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky and maybe Bach too. Thanks.) ❤😂🎉🎉❤

It is weird that Martha Argerich dies not pronounce herself in favor of this guy same she did with Trifonov, because this guy is much better than Trifonov without any pretension or making any faces, he feels music inside, like a great musician.

I got the feeling in the ballade he wasn't entirely happy with something, maybe the piano or an off day also I noticed a few technical 'splashes ' as a result of too quick tempo or other factors. Who knows.

I love this man's ability, but the fast sections of the Chopin weren't shaped at all, and this is a completely wasted opportunity. There is so much drama in this piece, and high-octane tension, but it was never brought out because the forte sections were just played in the same dynamic all the time. There is also a lot of breathing - also not brought out. The space between the notes needs to sing too.

If this isn't your cup of tea, maybe find another pianist you prefer instead of blurting out comments in broken English that don't make sense. You must be a fan of Asian pianists with their 'fast sections of Chopin'-there are plenty of those on TH-cam.

@@leodupont2418My language is correct. I am a EFL teacher with many years experience. Calling my English 'broken' indicates that you do not know much about teh subtleties of our syntax. LMAO.

The piano was not a good match to Vyacheslav and his virtuosity. It was not able to deliver the dynamic range and clarity that he called for in his performance.

I don't think it's the piano. I think its the recording. Not the best acoustics. There's another recital of the same piece, same artist, that's much better.
