read somewhere recently that Al Dimeola stated that Ralph Towner is the greatest guitarist alive. I have never been much for the "who is the greatest guitarist" arguement but coming from Al Dimeola that is saying something.
I have to agree with douzilles that he's one of the most brilliant composers and arrangers for guitar. There are classical players which have far better technique than Ralph, but no one touches him on musicality.

Absolutely! Those two recordings were all I listened to for about two years. I gave up trying to convince people to listen carefully! Hehe!
