Formed in 1970, in the wake of the first Winter Consort. Made amazing music right from the get go in album after album. Lost Collin Wolcott to a car accident in 1984, yet somehow kept on going. Found Mark Walker in 1995 ... and 40+ years after their first notes together, Oregon still makes some of the damnedest music I have EVER heard! Thanks to Ralph, Paul, Glenn, Collin and Mark and the magic they continue create together.
Simply put this group is amazing ! After all these years on the road and recording many albums you would think that their fan base would be bigger. They are virtuous, the music is eclectic, organic and at times music of another Era to become.Long live Oregon legacy.
Just noticed by watching video how important is Glen Moore's contribution. Sure I love his performance on all the Oregon works, but the video captures it so well. Just two notes from that bass and the music is propelled forward. superb performance by all.
first saw the original band at Amazingrace...The Quiet Knight...saw the band with Mark Walker at Martyrs on Lincoln Ave in Chgo..had the immense pleasure to do transportation for the band...astounding musicians and wonderful folks....will always hold dear those times and The Music!
quality and expression combined is supposed to be road music ,well it certainly moving it feels a little autumnal and wistfull so its a metric metered journey on you tube free again and a very fine listen
Makes me happy that they still perform. But I still miss Collin Walcott. Sorry to the new percussion player, you do a good job. Probably it's just me, because I loved the chemistry of the original band so much.

LONG LIVE OREGON !! THE GREATEST JAZZWORLD FUSION GROUP OF ALL TIME !!!!
I agree with you. Only the Yellowjackets and Fourplay can reach this level on their finest tunes.
Wonderful solo of Glen Moore , great emotion when listening this piece . bravo all

Sweet Jesus this is the beautiful music I loved as a teenager at conservatory
Woow, Belleza Absoluta! El sonido de Oregon es incomparable y cada sólo es una Historia que me obliga a soñar! Esto es Arte!
Yes the music flows like butter as if no thought but only inspiration on a divine level is manifesting itself
Ralph is all over the place.... He's got to be from outer space... Killer!
This piece has a beautiful dream like quality.

Losing Collin Walcott to an accident in Germany on the autobahn was a great loss, Terry, was he part of the band when you saw them?
yes he was...the first few times...never saw them with Trilok...Ralph is coming to Martyrs in Feb!! cannot wait!
Twenty years ago this year -- I spent an afternoon hanging out with Paul McCandless. A precious memory. Thanks for this, and bringing it back.
Siempre Admirables. Muchas gracias.
Lovely piano ostinato, harmony, rhythm and melody!!!!!!
This saxophonist is my inspiration; one day I hope to be as good as he is

que buen tema, uno más a mis favoritos de este gran grupo.
Have always enjoyed Towner on piano since the 70s. Innovative acoustic guitarist Towner is primarily.
