Huge thanks to Sweet Cheeks Winery here in Eugene, OR (sweetcheekswine...) for letting us film there, which was the only green place we could find in mid-August! This summer in Oregon has been absolutely beautiful and I have loved spending time outdoors with the family. So, I am really excited to give you a small taste of that by sharing some of the lovely scenery from my state in this video. Besides the scenery, we wanted to keep this video sweet and simple and let the song speak for itself. :) I hope you love this video as much as I loved creating it!

This was my mom’s favorite song. I’m almost 70 and we would sing it together every week. I sang it in HS choir at AR. State Comp. for a 3rd place finish. Thank you Peter!! ❤❤❤
My sister took her life in Feb of 2021. I never heard this song before. And when I listened to it I never cried so hard in my life. U sing it absolutely beautiful. This was one of her favorite songs. I listened to others sing it but in my heart no one could sing it like u. I listen to it over and over I feel close to my sister when I hear your voice. GOD Bless You

I have two friends that are brothers. The younger one is named Daniel, and his big brother calls him Danny Boy. It's really sweet.

My name is Emily, I'm 21 and live in Cincinnati Ohio. A few months ago I was in a car accident and lost my ability to walk, since I was rear ended I had to drop out of school and quit my job. Now I spend my days lay in bed trying to find a way to pass time, and seeing doctor after doctor in hopes to regain the power and strength in my back and legs. It's not easy being my age and wondering if I'll be able to walk again or not while all of my friends are out having fun and being successful. I stumbled across your videos this morning in my daily attempt to keep my mind occupied and I most say I haven't been this happy in months! I'm a huge fan of a cappella, medleys, disney, LOTR and all of the classics! Your videos have brought me so much joy and I can't thank you enough. I know it's really late but I just wanted to say that this brought me to tears.
This was my dads favorite song, he passed away 2 years ago. We played this song at his funeral. I haven't heard this song since. It just really reminded me of him. Thank you for doing this song.

I don't know how many versions of Danny Boy I have heard in my lifetime being from Ireland myself but this is by miles and miles the most beautiful and touching I have ever heard and I don't know how to send my appreciation for the gift this is, touched my heart, shed a tear, can't stop listening. I have goosebumps. My mom used to sing this all the time. It was one of her favorites. She had a lovely voice and on car trips we would have a singalong all the way...was so much fun and this song reminds me of those days when I was a young girl. Thank you for your beautiful voice.

My mother used to sing this song at her recitals when she took voice lessons when I was in high school. I grew up thinking my father was Daniel but he wasn't. He passed in 2009. I lost her last November. This brings tears to my eyes and I miss her so...😢 She would have loved this...

Peter Hollens: Once again, thank you for your joyous and beautiful voice. It helps and calms me. I wanted to humbly suggest a song that I grew up with, it was one of my parents favorites. The only version of it that I have ever heard is from a 1956 (?) album by the Norman Luboff Choir, it is called "Goodbye my Lover". It is a VERY old Irish Sea Song. If you listen to it, I think that you will fall in love with it like I did when I was so young. Thank you Sir.

We sang this song for Wreaths Across America ceremony. It was very moving and powerful for the veterans and for those who attended. This song is epic.
I requested this song a while back! My mother had a nephew named Danny whenever she heard this song it touched her. Mom passed away in hospice, and the last song she really heard and was aware of was this one by Celtic women. You did an incredible job, as always!Thank you so much! 🙄

This is probably the cover of Danny Boy that I've enjoyed most. Easily. Your head voice has an unbelievable tone, and I love the way that the rest of the harmonies dropped out during those melodic climaxes.

I love this song so much! My father died in 1968 at the age of 37 years old. He was a trumpet player and singer and I remember he played this song. I listen to this song every morning and it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for "Danny Boy" it totally touches my heart!

When my son was 3 days old I started singing Danny Boy to him, probably becuase he is a boy, but regardless he quieted and seems to love it. So I searched versions of Danny Boy and this was on the top. I have this on repeat for him when he is super fussy. Thank you for sharing your God given talent with the world. Peter, this is gorgeous! My brother Jim, an incredible pianist, played this all the time for my Mother as it was her favorite song. She passed at the age of 95. My brother died in 2011. My grandmother was born in Glasgow Scotland in 1892. She has long ago passed , but she would have loved this. She came to the US in 1912 and never returned to her homeland. Thanks for this beautiful rendition

Peter, thank you so much for singing this song. My great-grandmother would sing this song at funerals of The Departed. Sadly, her son was sent to war or two. This song Come True for her. While her son was away, she passed when he was away. Her son came and did go to her grave and said prayer for her. The song has a deep family connection for me since this has been true and our lives. My mother has passed. She love this version of the song. She would cry when she listened to it. And now, I cry when I think about how it affected her. Thank you, for creating this beautiful version. I will always cherish it.

Peter Hollens, I love watching your videos here! They are INCREDIBLE!!!!.......have you ever considered combining your videos that are here on you tube, and selling them on DVD? I KNOW my dad (86 years old), would LOVE to watch these (he doesn't use a computer)....he was involved in a Barbershop Harmony music group many years ago, but they had to cancel it after many of the older men grew sick or passed away. He LOVES music like this, I just thought it would be great for you to put a variety of your videos together on one DVD.....like all of your Irish/Scottish music on one, organize them so it would have a common theme or mix them up. Perhaps you could take requests from those of us who enjoy your videos to request specific videos to be put on a DVD....I'm sure they would make GREAT GIFTS for birthdays, Christmas, or just because....I hope you consider it and let me know if it is something you can do......does anyone else on here like this idea?
