The manual states that the red STEREO knob on the bottom right is for the stereo output jacks on the top right, not USB.

Intresting there wasn't much about this issue but it seems its on all of them. I use the line out and it's OK but not via USB

I also recorded through USB cable in my phone but it's volume is so low though I put all control button maximum

Same for me (MG12XU model)! It worked fine for a few years, and all of a sudden, the USB output is very low! Anybody found any solution yet? Is there a converter cable from LR Audio to USB? Unfortunately, my environment requires USB audio input, not audio jack...

I had the same unit and have exactly the same issue. Yamaha doesn't provide me any warranty service!

thanks for the video, I wish I watched this before I spent £200 on this useless mixer. I could have bought a decent audio interface that would have worked much better, but chose to go with a desk for the reverb and compression as I'm using it for live music over the internet. Very disappointed at Yamaha
