    I love the video. Thanks for posting. I notice your belt is inside out from mine. I asked about this and was told the drive comes from the grip of the tiny perimeter of the belt and was wondering if your belt was different or you flipped on purpose? If you flipped was there a noticeable change?

Thanks!; hopefully see a vid about 125cc racing variators and whether or not to run standard cdi units with the new vario or whether it is best to focus on your ramp and weights!! IE; what weights work best for different riding needs!! Thanks for the ones i have seen!! Great!!

    Great Video, I have the symptoms of noise coming from the CVT cover. However my 2014 150cc Tao Tao also shakes and stalls out when I come to a complete stop. I have cleaned the carb, checked valve clearances, cleaned fuel filter, messed with the idle screw, and yet it still shakes and dies out when stopping. It was running fine until about 2 weeks ago and then all of the sudden I am having this issue of stopping and having it stall out. Do you think changing the rollers out may stop me from having this issue?

    good channel and simple instructions but I still had to use a impact wrench ..the one I used was Ryobi battery operated ..and did not use a oil wrench to hold variator ..with a new belt you need .impact I tried this way on this channel and did not work to will ..new belts don't go on to easy but once stretched belt is easy ..I have a sundiro 125 cc scooter ..

  • @ScottMilnes1
    @ScottMilnes1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would've loved to see how you used the filter wrench to get the variator off. I'm stuck right now and not sure how to get that part off.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Place the oil filter strap wrench around the edge of the variator to hold it.

      @billhicks7034 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scott Milnes just find someone who has a very powerful drill, preferably a corded one that plugs directly into a socket, they are always powerful enough and u don't even have to hold it from spinning, it'll spin a little but the nut will come off so fast it'll barely have time to spin, if u don't know anyone who has a high powered impact driver u can rent them cheap at places like home depot and free and some auto parts stores

    I hope this makes my trike 50cc scooter go faster I’d at least like to go 50 but I finally changed it to a 100cc jug and piston but it smokes because it’s to powerful for the 50cc head so I have to get a head and rocker arms and exhaust and it should stop smoking. But if it doesn’t I’m going to save and get the complete 80cc kit with everything right down to spacers and gaskets oh by the way it does 71 mph now but it’s smoking bad and it is almost new so I’m not going tear it up just going to get the right stuff and do it right.

    @electronicsNmore Is this theory correct that after applying grease on round rollers in variator they don't able to roll properly and tends to slide which cause irregular flat sides. And these irregular flat sides causes vibrations on certain speed? Is it right?

    wont 18g rollers be terrible on take off on a 50cc gy6 139qmb?
    mine has 5g rollers in in and it takes off ok but i ordered 4 g rollers for more take off.. i installed a new DLH racing variator and staggered my weights 5g 7g 5g 7g 5g 7g to get an over all average of 6g variation and it is slower on take off now so im going back to the 5g rollers until my 4g rollers come in a couple days.. im also going to install a 1500 rpm yellow racing clutch spring to help on launch.. im trying to find the best possible setup for 0 `to 30mph and pull a hill at a steady 20mph or better if possible.. i only weigh 170lbs .. what is your recomendation?

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lower weight rollers will cause the engine to rev a lot more before you start to move, and cause the rpm to be much higher at top speed. For best fuel economy, a heavier roller is best, but you lose speed on take off.

    • @youngbuck22481
      @youngbuck22481 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      What about those people putting 18 g rollers in? I live in the mountains with lots of hills.. so would you put 4G rollers or 18g? I'm think of the 4G cause 0 to 35 is all that really matters as long as it can steady pull me up a hill doing at least 20 to 25..your thoughts on roller weights and driving up hills?
