Being on a limited budget I couldn’t buy a new tub. And I like the challenge of making it work. Now I’m into this Jeep for 2000.00 including buying it. Probably half the price of a tub.

How did you get the tub safely (without hurting the rusted tub not my safety) flipped over. I have a rusted 69 jeepster and I want work on the structure from the bottom without doing a rotisserie. Jim, a new subscriber. I love your philosophy with the focus on saving, learning, driving.
Welcome to the channel Jim,In one of the first videos of the CJ I showed how I made a wooden structure on the inside of the tub to help hold it together. The jeepsters are really cool that’s going to be a great project
Does the 2a have the body mount bolts that pass through the hat channel? I know some Jeeps use wood filler block inside to support the hat channel. On my CJ5 I added pipe sleeves to the hat channel at the body mount holes to keep them from getting crushed.

Thanks for watching. I used a combination of 20 and 18 guage steel. Mostly 18
If you buy a Suzuki outboard it comes in a steel crate with perfect floor brace metal just putting that out there

That’s a good idea,I was going to use wood but I like that idea better and I definitely have pipe.thanks for the input
