ToffepeerTH This song is easy, try it yourself and you'll see, if you want a hard song to play and sing at the same time, there's Thoughts of a Dying Atheist.
Reckless39 The point remains true, though. The verse of dying atheist is harder than the whole of Space Dementia in terms of singing and playing at the same time.
ballt0wn They've played it in addition to a lot of different songs, but one of the most famous versions was at the end of Stockholm Syndrome from the haarp album.
Playing such a hard piano part accurate, sing at the same time with no mistakes and bang the piano at the end and still sound good- Thats a Virtuosity!!!!
The WHOLE BAND is very underrated; especially here in the states! And, for all of them to perform as mainly a 3 piece band with this level of skill makes them MUSICAL GENIUSES! 🎶💝
The only rational explanation for what we are watching here is that maybe the young Mr Bellamy made a pact with the devil - his soul in return for becoming the greatest ever modern musician with Muse. Thank God. Amen.
Everyone that says that they miss the old Muse and them playing old songs live... all I have to say is, we cherish these moments by recording it, because one day. Muse will be gone. But their music will never end. All I have to say is cherish these fantastic moments.
CStubbsSubs of course some extrem bands are horrible, but what I ment is that some metal bands are very talented but because they are metal they are not recognised. I think of children of bodom or wintersun. But as I said, muse is the best rock band since queen (maybe nirvana, but in a very different style)
+08padam There are definitely talented metal and rock bands out there. Animals as Leaders, for example, is one of my favorites, mainly because of their guitarist, and the ridiculously complicated time signatures, etc. However, Muse is by far the most talented band I've ever heard, no question. (My opinion.) They aren't necessarily as fast or precise as some other musicians, but the quality of singing and songwriting is on a whole new level that I had never heard before discovering them. Not to mention their obviously epic live performances. You can feel the emotion and passion that is put into writing and performing these songs.
I like the piano part from 2:50-3:38 and from 5:07 through the ending of the song better than the original version because it still fits in with the whole space vibe the song goes for, and just feels more creative when it can be done with raw instruments rather than whatever special effect the original song uses. As far as I know this is the only performance that does that, I wish they'd do it more often assuming they still perform this song.
I’m getting the vibe here that they enjoyed playing their own music more than they do today? Matt and co are amazing musicians. The fact that they incorporated pieces from the classical, romantic and baroque era into their Music throughout the years makes them a class act :) I understand they need to experiment to keep up with the demands of listeners today and make their music politically driven and synth-like, but this kind of composition and arranging is what makes them different from other bands. I love each album they’ve released but there’s incredible intricacy here.
Simply a GENIUS!!Matt is the most talemted rock musician on earth,Muse are unreacheable..best live band ever!this song is a Masterpiece! ps thanks Mr.Rachmaninoff!!
I don't get it when people say, "the old muse" it all sounds like good ol' muse to me. I love every song they've ever put out. I'm seriously obsessed. and I cant't wait to see them in atlanta!
@xmripper yep, goes to show how matt is always constantly writing music. there's a vid during their Showbiz years, and matt was playing an early butterflies and hurricanes piano riff
Matt played the "Take A Bow" intro after "Citizen Erased" at Glastonbury 2004 as well. He just decided the world wasn't ready for the whole genius until 2006.
Все хорошо забытое старое не всегда новое. Оно было и больше повторяется. Это есть "миг удачи". Попробую перевод на английский, но он не способен передать метафоризм русского: All is well forgotten old is not always new. It was more repeats. This is the "MiG good luck".
I wish I were in this concert, I'm not entirely familiar with the setlist, but the fact that they played Citizen Erased followed by the Take A Bow intro and Space Dementia is just so fucking badass
I always thought this song was about some sort of drug addiction... 'h8 (don't know the reference) is the one for me... it gives me all I need, it helps me coexist'' you make me sick because I adore you so' 'peace will arise and tear us apart and make us meaningless again' 'you make us wanna die, I cut your name in my heart, we'll destroy this world for you, I know you want me to feel your pain' Thoughts?
MuseWiki: H8 A comment from Matt detailed the meaning of 'H8' in a 2003 interview: "Using a microcomputer (Hitachi H8 / 3048F) which can be built into the industrial machines, you can learn and understand the inputs /outputs of the microcomputer as a basis of robot control and conduct the experiments by C-language for steppingmotor control, servomotor control (PWM control) and serial communication. H8 model, a 16-bit microcomputer consists of 32-bit registers, has a flash ROM of 128KB, a RAM of 4KB (SRAM) with external extension of 128KB and 78 I/O terminals with the built-in A/D and D/Aconverters. H8 is a microcomputer usually built into a TV, VTR, mobile-phone and car navigator. Since it has ample I/O terminals, H8 microcomputer is also used as a brain of a small robot."[4]
space dementia is called a mental disorder that is linked with the isolation and the loss a human touch. it has been observed in astronauts after a solo mission in space. i don't think that drugs are related to that.
Preparing Space Dementia A dash of Glass to draw them in then add the stylings of Elfman. Mix now Chopin, wait, add the bass Their minds henceforth your sound will crave and sate their want, and meet their taste. Layer into an ivory dish -- pop and rock; heat on high Serve hot with Muse; this sounds sublime and at your feet the crowds will lie.
I was amazed at the fingerwork, especially at the end, until it came to the slapping of the keys, and then I was in stitches. XD XD And did he fall over?!?! XD XD I just can't stop laughing now.
Increible, un genio el gran Matt Bellamy, Cn la colaboracion de Chris, los bajos mas potentes, llenos de fuzz/synth, la energia de Dom, la mejor banda del mundo junto con Radiohead, ninguna mejor
Matt Bellamy is a gift from Heaven
+ybeesa Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this!!!!!!!
+ybeesa Yes he is..
ybeesa of The Space and The Universe
He doesn't believe in heaven and hell so not possible but maybe from a gift from the stars is a better choice.
@@brianbrooks2976, he does now
the unbeliavable thing is that he sings while he is playing these fast notes on piano.
It's easier than you can imagine
its better when you play and sing than someone il playing and you have to sing along with
Łukasz Śmigielski
Please show us how easy it is :)
ToffepeerTH This song is easy, try it yourself and you'll see, if you want a hard song to play and sing at the same time, there's Thoughts of a Dying Atheist.

Lmao I love how in the beginning it's showing Matt playing intricate classical piano and then just cuts to Chris drinking a beer
Haha.. badass chris doesn't give a damn
+Mega Regenerator i watched some of their concerts and hes always drinking beer :) lol
It kinda sounded like Take a Bow
TheAlphaSite It IS Take A Bow.
damn its not even classical. its just muse. muse is too good
Wow take a bow was played live like 2 years before the actual release..
Sort of like the riff to Psycho being played live for 16 years until it was finally created in to a song.
dthotham *ch The opening of the song
+dthotham *ch psycho was played at the end of agitated during a performance in Paris 1999
+ChillPill42 apparently the outro to neutron star collision has been played as early as 2004
ballt0wn They've played it in addition to a lot of different songs, but one of the most famous versions was at the end of Stockholm Syndrome from the haarp album.

That close up on the moon was cool
Bro, my prof pic unintentionally looks like yours. Lol except Matt is better in every way.
The WHOLE BAND is very underrated; especially here in the states! And, for all of them to perform as mainly a 3 piece band with this level of skill makes them MUSICAL GENIUSES! 🎶💝
Please here in Germany, no one knows them. It's blasphemy
Freddy Mercury didn't die, he just changed his name to Matt.
Fancy Food Fight And he learned to play more guitar than just Crazy Little Thing Called Love lol
The only rational explanation for what we are watching here is that maybe the young Mr Bellamy made a pact with the devil - his soul in return for becoming the greatest ever modern musician with Muse. Thank God. Amen.
Brian Jones Thank Satan*
It made my heartbeat very more faster: This explains everything.
This man is a fucking god at the piano.
Mophelia23 He's just god in general, remember he's a megalomaniac (;
Mophelia23 he samples rachmaninov
Was, he doesn't play piano anymore.
Francis Nusink yes he does, apocalypse please, sunburn and space dementia all have been played in 2013-16
Francis Nusink they played this song in their last concert haha
this is always my fav, especially the piano solo
this is fucking epic. and the way chris just goes nuts at the end is awesome. this is the reason their best live band ever
Thinking that back in 2004 they already had the beginning of Take A Bow.
My favorite band above all else.
One of the greatest piano players in the world!
Watching his fingers work their Magic at the End is Pure Epicness!!!!
the outro of Space Dementia is the most epic thing that was ever made on this planet.
How much F***Kn beautiful is it?! Love you Mathew Bellamy
mind it was written by the three of them though
Uh, excuse me? Not written by them? What?
What?
*****
never mind! hard to explain the meaning
Christ, that chord slam that transitions the intro into the verse progression was absolutely brutal.
questa band con la sua musica mi ha cambiato la vita... non ho molto da dire, sarebbe tutto superfluo
Parole sante...
Anche a me...
6:13 it seems the people are so amazed by matt's playing that they just stand still.. this is the most epic performance of the song I've ever seen
Everyone that says that they miss the old Muse and them playing old songs live... all I have to say is, we cherish these moments by recording it, because one day. Muse will be gone. But their music will never end. All I have to say is cherish these fantastic moments.
I suddenly remembered why I love their art so much!
most talented band in the world
Agreed.
Some metal band are as talented if not more by because it is more extreme... But anyway muse is the most talented rock band since queen I think
+08padam Kind of an apple orange comparison, if you ask me. Extreme does not equal good... Cannibal Corpse is a perfect example.
CStubbsSubs of course some extrem bands are horrible, but what I ment is that some metal bands are very talented but because they are metal they are not recognised. I think of children of bodom or wintersun. But as I said, muse is the best rock band since queen (maybe nirvana, but in a very different style)

I love how Matt can just slam random keys and it's fantastic.
Matt and John Frusciante are my fav aliens
I agree!!!
Speaking my mind!

I love how Matt ended the song killing the piano... The Most Amazing Band EVER!

Such musical talent to sing those pounding verse's and play that piano. The energy of their performances is unmatched by anyone
He plays like a God. Wow.
Simply a GENIUS!!Matt is the most talemted rock musician on earth,Muse are unreacheable..best live band ever!this song is a Masterpiece!
ps thanks Mr.Rachmaninoff!!
OMG Rachmaninov..... just, thanks muse
+Ingrid Fernandez How couldn't I know this song before OMG, I just got chills.
Is it Rachmaninoff or Rachmaninov?
It is Rachmaninov but you say "racmaninoff"
Claire Muse I think it depends on the country you are, like the romanization of hangul (korean language) it is never spelled the same way.
I saw a "Rakhmaninov" recently! There's also "Rachmaninow"
AWESOME!! in the intro he was playing the sinth part of "Take a Bow",a song of the next album
i was there 8 years ago, best concert ..
love this moment
8 years? Its 2019 mate
You mean 15 years ago
@@miralex67 yes correct, where are you from?
matt bellamy. talent at its purest level

After playing that fucking EPIC song, he just very calmly says. "Cheers."
Badass.
It's not often you get teary because of an epic live performance..
that's probably the most tame i've ever seen matts hair :P

That's the best video of Space Dementia I've ever seen!
my favourite song
they should play this in simulation theory tour since it kinda fits the theme
6:18 chris's face.
Matt is adorable !
Matthew Bellamy is the best
@xmripper yep, goes to show how matt is always constantly writing music. there's a vid during their Showbiz years, and matt was playing an early butterflies and hurricanes piano riff

take a bow's intro gave me goosebumps from my head to my toes holy shit
Veo este vídeo todos los años. Escribo en 2019.
Happy birthday Mr ....Sir MATTHEW JAMES BELLAMY the undisputed Genius.....ciao cheers greetings from italy!
Matt played the "Take A Bow" intro after "Citizen Erased" at Glastonbury 2004 as well. He just decided the world wasn't ready for the whole genius until 2006.
Oh God, that was a riveting ending. Amazing song.
00:48 thanks for operators of this festival!

I believe H8 is actually talking about 'hate' because when you pronounce 'H8' it sounds like hate.

Skyler Goodman This song came out in 2001 I'm fairly certain that was before people used stupid text slangs like that.
