What happened to the Mistress? The husband divorced her and custody of her 3 kids was hard on her too. She didn’t get the money she thought she could get and moved from their five bedroom home to a flat where the kids see her on the weekends. I think she also lost her job and loverboy ghosted 👻 her! Not related to the topic but I just heard about this study (I know it sounds crazy) Dr Karl Zimmer from Israel did a study on crabs and mice/cats. Study on crabs: he infested a male crab with specific parasite. The crab start digging the sand as he was about to lay eggs, thinking he was a female. Hence another study (look it up online) where a gay man took Pure Gum Spirit of Turpentine and became heterosexual. Study on mice/cats: doctor infested mice with a specific (not the same parasite as the crabs though) parasite that strives in cats intestines. It is normal for mice to fear cats. This parasite altered mice behavior to want to jump into cats mouth. I know for sure that 95% of humans are infested with various parasites. Cancer is/are parasites: worms, syphilis (syphilis is lyme, is lupus is rheumatoid arthritis renamed) and candida. Parasites have hosts and life cycles in different hosts.

Angel made a hard decision.
My mother was in the same situation - married to a cheater until she couldn't take it anymore. I was 8 when they split and always resented her for that, because I didn't know the reason at that age. Until I was 13/14 and we were at a Ghanaian party. My dad, his now longtime partner and her - that other woman. They were talking, but even for me at 13 they were too cosy with each other while my step-mum wasn't watching. It suddenly hit me that I recognized her and everything came together then. I was enraged, told my step-mum and confronted him then and there. Also made a scene and told her my mind loud and clear. We never really talked about it afterwards but my dad changed. About a decade or more later we came to this topic - the embarrassment and humiliation he felt that moment made him realize for the first time that what he did, didn't only effect him. And my mother divorced him because she didn't want us to see his infidelity because at some point we would have realized what was going on.
This is also one reasons I have attachment issues. It's a ripple effect. Not because my parents separated, but not even my father is trustworthy-the man I adored growing up.
That is painful my dear, I'm so sorry to hear that. You need to pray for healing and overcome this feeling of rejection and distrust to men. In your country deliverance would help you because it deals with inner healing. You need to know that not all men cheats! You cannot go through life with that mindset. Cheating is not genetics or inherited but it's a conscious decision that people make. There are honest, loyalty, stand up men out there and those are the ones you want to pray to locate you.

When the mistress said "John never loved you, he's only staying for the kids"my stomach dropped for Angel, I felt that. That moment cancelled any hope of potential restoration. it's the fact that the mistress knew her husband's deepest most sacred thoughts about her and shared it with her .. there's no coming back from type of emotional and spiritual EXPOSURE! My heart hurts.
Yet the other woman lost John and her husband too and the lifestyle she'd grown accustomed to. Naw payback is like an iceberg salad best when it's served cold.
And John could have been saying that to her just so he could sleep with her too. She just said that to her just to hurt her, even though it is hard to hear whether it's true or not.
Angel is a PHENOMENAL WOMAN!!!

The most scary part of it all is just how emboldened the mistress/ex-friend was towards Angel, confronting her and asking her why she destroyed the marriage. I mean, she should have been so ashamed of herself and not even want to be seen by Angel just for destroying her life. I just can't! Marriage is really something else and I think it is best as a woman to be constantly comforted in Jesus and to always be empowered to do the things that are healthy and beneficial for herself.

Yess when children enter the picture you live and breathe for them and as a mother you consider everything based on the outcome you want for your children. I don’t think that nobody realizes how much pressure and weight sits on the shoulders of a mother in decision making. It’s amazing how the non offending spouse is blamed for telling the truth! The offending parties try and justify it to the hilt! Wrong is wrong and that’s all there is to it! I know of what I speak. People were giving him kudos because he admitted it to me! Hogwash! What hurt the most he didn’t fight for me! They are married and have two children now I think! I forgave myself, him after the process and was able to move on! It left a sting for sure! I continue to pray for all! Funmi, I just want to tell you that I love you and truly appreciate your videos. I learn a lot from them especially as a young single African lady. Your videos are educating, inspiring and life changing. I pray for more grace to delve into deeper issues that can help our girls and community. I for instance is from a broken home. My beautiful mum worked so hard to keep us(her children) sane and together but I can categorically tell you that I still felt the impact of the separation psychologically. I am in a good place don’t get me wrong, thanks to my mum. I just wanted to reinstate the fact that broken homes are terrible experiences for the children.
Hi Fumi, I can't even tell you how much I am in love with this episode. It would be difficult for some people to have thought of exerting revenge in that way just because the wronged person feels ashamed for the wrong that was done to her. Angel's reasoning for her actions are so valid and I give it to her. I tell people that the fact someone doesn't or hasn't divorced a cheating partner most cases has nothing to do with being passive, but everything to do with timing. My love to Angel, she's areal one.

This was heavy! I have to rewatch this. 💞 I feel appalled for Angel but also relieved that she is doing well now. And very commendable to have a 10 year plan to eventually leave.
I enjoyed this very much. I only agree to an extent. The 'staying for the children's sake' thing is a nice idea, but isn't a balanced response. What kind of environment does that create for them to grow up in? It is damaging to grow up in a household of upheaval and instability, true. But it is also damaging to grow up in a household with parents who hate, dislike, are angry at, or just plain don't love one another. Add in continuous cheating, and it's the perfect recipe for maladjusted children to grow into adults with emotional and mental instability, issues of insecurity, and anger.

I was engaged, wedding dress bought and all. The pastor of our marriage counseling sessions told me in so many words he was cheating and didn't really love me. I was crushed and holding onto him for dear life. Why? Because I just wanted to be 'married'; even to a cheater. I knew he was cheating. But I figured it's better to get married to a successful engineer, pushing my dignity to the backburner. The pastor refused to marry us and he (the cheater) finally broke our engagement. I needed that. Now, I will NEVER deal with disrespect from a man. Period. Thank you, Fumi for this wisdom to love yourself.

Learning is for everybody and as a MAN, I've noticed there are few if any places where men are made accountable to anyone or to each other.
The most eloquent man has no place amongst his male peers to learn, question how to gain and maintain a moral code.
And in my particular case, add the lack of value of gay love, fidelity, monogamy in other gay men. Instances like this described by Fumi are just par for the course.
