The game is by far a love letter to samurai culture. I hav never dived so deep in a story driven game yet(except kakarot and GoW 2018). The art design is very eye catching as well as the story writing of each character and the ost. This game really shows the horror of war and how people cope with it. 10/10 recommended.

The reason the SPARE can be realistic ending because Jin shattered the age-old samurai codes to protect his people and homeland. Traditions that once stood as pillars of honor became shackles in the face of victory. Hence, he will break this tradition too because it's been a hard sacrifice and suffering journey from the start of the game to the end, becoming Ghost from a noble samurai. Now, he values the lives of the innocent even above the sacred traditions and honor.
