- A few weeks ago, I was extremely lucky and was allowed to ride the INCREDIBLE Sox.
My instructor Camerons' TOP Event Horse!! I hope you enjoy watching our session, she really is a super special horse and I feel very grateful to have been allowed to ride her.

Well isn't she just absolutely gorgeous and special?! The way he rides his horses, and is training you, is SUCH a revelation to me but makes SO much sense!!! Its absolute proof is in the pudding of Sox - can't wait to see what this mare and him get up to in futiue! You're so good with her!

I was so emotional watching this episode and truly see how far Tina’s confidence in herself has come along. It is so clear how much trust she has in Cam and how he knows exactly how much challenge to face her with. To get on a big expressive mare and pull out some gorgeous movements and be giggling and smiling but also determined to work hard rising to the occasion is so wonderful!
Loved loved LOVED this one! 😍 You rode beautifully Tina, and Cam you have Sox so light, flexible, and soft in all her gears!! ❤❤ Genuinely could watch you and Cam training all day, I always learn SO much (which my spicy mare thanks you for also 🤣). This video (and that extended trot) is giving me such winter goals, thanks for another fab video!! Wow! She's got the buttons and is absolutely gorgeous, but by no means does she seem like an easy horse to ride. You rode brilliantly, and you should be very proud of yourself for that. I'm sure you felt an enormous amount of pressure to take care of her, and you absolutely lived up to it. What a great reward for all of your hard work!

Aah I honestly loved this!! Just the way Cameron talks about Sox is so lovely, he is so proud of her and really loves her and so he should be; what an absolute credit she is to him, she is incredible! In fact this has made me even more sure that if I ever get another horse or decide to compete again I NEED a Cam lesson.. you really did suit her and I think that it shows just how much your riding and confidence in your own ability has improved because I think maybe before you wouldn't have been so brave to get on such a big horse and ride her so competently. Fab vlog 😊 xx
I have to say Cameron makes me want to start riding again, get a horse and move to England just so I can train with him. He is amazing. I just love his mixture of an almost scientific approach, very classical riding and so much love and empathy for each horse and rider combination. And I find it so intersting that Sox seems to mirror him. She was quite firm in telling you when you did not get it right but was there for you to just keep trying. She really is a credit to Cam. And you did so super well!! When you figured out the buttons there were moments of absolute WOW!
P.S.: And your big heart and generosity and pride in your friends and loved ones (incl the 4-legged ones) is at least as inspiring, Tina!

Really really enjoyed this. Sox is just incredible. Would love to know how Cameron keeps her in such amazing condition over the winter. Your riding Tina is absolutely amazing! Have made a massive breakthrough ourselves with our flatwork and can’t believe how actually finding your core and using ur legs properly make such a difference. Thought my big 17.3Hh boy was always very heavy in my hand but I was so wrong, I just didn’t ride correctly!

I did that with my coachs. 17hand 18 year old Belgian Warmblood. Been to Badminton inter 4 times etc.. I almost got thrown off like 3 times LOL Your super brave and wat an amazing horse!

Well rode Tina. I felt riding Sox allowed you to experience the feel of horse more responsive to seat leg aids... and it clicked for you. And how lovely did you look on Sox...she’s big girl but proportioned well. Really filled your leg out well. The Grinch hat was very apt for Cam as he did steal your saddle for bareback jumping😂 on that thought, Tina you make a beautiful Cindy Lou Who from Whoville 💜 (Dink’s still would be the Grinch’s Dog 😂)
She really did and it massively helped me understand some of the instruction cam has given me over the last 12 months xx

Hello Tina, Sox is certainly a beautiful mare; and in the video it is easy to see how 'light' Sox is despite her size. Cameron is also a fantastic trainer, and I like the way Cameron asks questions about your riding and how it feels for you; rather than telling you what to do. You and Cameron really bounce off each other which is positive for training, as you do with Banksy. I enjoyed how Cameron used the technique of Sox teaching you, that was really interesting. You are an amazing rider Tina, and rode Sox beautifully; and it is great to see you having fun while training, as well as doing the work. Your confidence is there, and it is great to see you blossoming. A lovely joyful Vlog 🙂 xx

What an amazing vlog Tina. Cameron is just adorable and how lovely to see him and the bond he has with his beautiful girl. I really didn't want this one to end. Tina you looked amazing riding her and how well did you do. Its always a bit nervy riding someone else's horse but wow you did yrself proud. Its wonderful how Cameron teaches and helps you understand. Wish there had been a Cameron when I started riding lol. Great vlog again and can't wait for the next one 😀

I love Sox! Cam is a great rider and great teacher. Tina you did a great riding Sox, after Cam taught how to ride her. And I think after you settled down, once you weren't nervous with her. I have ridden a 17.2 hd Hosteiner gelding. Had such big gaits. His name was Celebrity. loved him he was a bay and had a white blaze down his face. Love the vlog.

I feel your panic letting the reins go, I was riding hard mouthed, hard to stop riding school horses for years then got to try a western reining horse. Going into trot or canter with NO contact is TERRIFYING the first few hundred times, but it unlocked something in my mind and completely changed my style of riding. The horses I rode became much softer. Giving them the fair chance to be soft and listen back despite the gaits or speed is so hard to hard to do when you haven't been able to before but so rewarding once you know you can trust them.
If reiners and cutting riders can get their bullet fast quarter horses to slide to a stop from a leg or voice cue, we don't have to use heavy reins as a first resort to slow down even in eventing. You can reprogram yourself and the horse more than you think.
She is stunning! You did an absolutely super job!
