While I'd love to ride an Arabian across the Mongolian stepps, I think it's rather so it on a Mongolian horse. There's just something so ancient about them. It is the way. 😂
I look forward to riding Tom Morgan over a 1000km horse race, ... i am sure he will be thrilled. Senseless racing, unnecessary suffering for these horses. .., if these fellas are so enthusiatic, why not try running 1000km on your own two feet? I am sure that will be glorious sense of achievement instead on asking animals to carry u over such great distances.
@@victorious-dl6hk i am not ignorant of these races, i know about the horse change over n rest ea night. I am ok with folks who takes pleasure in horse riding, but to race over long distances ... what sense of achievement is there? Isnt the deciding factor the horse themselves? Ask the jockeys in the Kentucky Derby, .. its all a matter of getting THE HORSE. If u ask these endurance riders to run 1000k carrying a horse on their back, i will be the 1st person to hero worship them. But tks for note, no offense meant. Cheers.
@@zopaseah4982 western horse races are incredibly abusive. So now your argument has just completely disintegrated. Horses are treated horribly in the west and are pushed way further than they are supposed to
What!? But where are all the Mongolian riders - these are all just rich foreigners borrowing Mongolian families horses to race in a non-Mongolian event. It's bordering on cultural appropriation to me.
my heart and actions are utterly unclouded
It’s lovely! It doesn’t look abusive, perhaps one of the only fully non-abusive horse race? Wow!
Heard in another video the only ones going through abuse are the humans

2:36 i prefer the traditional way. That how mongols take over the world, that how you win a smal race.
Yeah, these horses might be small, but it can run much more longer than european horse and dont eat to much
Incredible!

Horses are needed for survival. They are your best friend.
He created it himself. And as you can clearly see: most people helping him are mongols
Well they can. He did it. You guys have been dormant for so long...
@@ramonbril its not necessarily bad..
i wonder what horses feel like, riders are sitting but the horses are running and walking. like it should be way different right?
Yeah a 500 kilo horse should sit on the shoulder of a 50 kilo human who should run.
@@mja2239 that wasnt my question but ok
Is there any Mongol riders? Thanks
They said a Mongolian rider won the first race, so yes, there are Mongolians who take part.

Awkward Bean but i dont think there are many, and definitely not nomadic mongols. This race costs £11k+.

Did you even see the video? They change horses every 40 kilometers or less. Running 40 kilometers for a horse is not abusive at all

These horses are literally created for this. Their all owned by local herdsmen and they are very important to them and their families for everything.
Mongolian horses have traveled these distances for thousands of years… and are one of the hardiest breeds.
So this is a traditional race or was created by some British guy?
So just a boring version of SBR

Horses do produce methane 💩💩
Please do not abuse the horses by riding thousands of km too, it is so tired for them!!
it's not just one horse in a 1000 km
The founder said in the video that they switch horses every 40 kilometers, it's only the riders that do the 1000 kilometers
